When we believe you're ready, we'll provide you with a secret link for a quiz and if you complete it satisfactorily, you'll be granted "FULL ACCESS TO THIS SHIT." as it were.

Like the ability to see and set up user avatars, use html code in posts and access the secret midget porn storage?

Don't forget to mention that you have to score 80% or higher on the quiz! The first time I did the quiz I failed because I didn't study. I figured, "Meh, I just need 50% or higher anyways" and had to redo it after a week had gone by...

Aye, glad you like it Lex. And yeah, it's great. I find practical special effects and professional make up to be really interesting (not to mention cool as fuck). Having Scott Ian bash a zombie head to a pulp is just a plus.

I actually finished that part when you meet that dude. If that's midway then that in the second playthrough would be 3/4 of the way :P If you don't count all the side quests and what not.

I listened to a few songs from Cattle Decapitation's new album, thinking the 97% average it has now was justified.

Nope.

I'm also working on a huge review for Symphony X's The Divine Wings of Tragedy. It's huge.

I wouldn't say it's close to perfection, but it's definitely a terrific modern death metal album.

Today I stumbled upon something random: somebody playing a Necrophagist cover on a clarinet!

It has to be. That's a freaking beast of an album. One the best, or at least my favorites, in the genre.

Judging by what Gunther said in the now playing thread, I imagine it will be favorable!

Hell yeah Fman! Great show, and I too miss it. Watched the entire series through the missus and I did. Loved every moment - same for Firefly. It's a pity more Firefly never got made/aired

Nope.

I'm actually really liking Monolith of Inhumanity. It's catchy as all hell and I've constantly got songs stuck in my mind. I believe such a high score is justified, but we all have different tastes, obviously.

I found it good enough, but definitely not 97% good - I think I gave it a 7 when I reviewed it. I'd probably listen to it more, but I tend to immediately go to Anaal Nathrakh for my dose of that kind of thing.

Anaal Nathrakh is quite different to that. (Or not...I'm not too familiar with Cattle Decapitation's output.)

I'd say it's the general frenzied intensity broken by cleaner, almost grandiose choruses; Cattle Decapitation (On Monolith, anyway - haven't heard the others) and Anaal Nathrakh's Hell is empty/etc. type material have that as common ground I'd say, other than that, pronounced differences, certainly.

Seriously man, is there any music you don't believe fucking sucks?

As for Gunther and his SX review; cheers man, that album is a complete behemoth of power/prog and deserves a review that matches it's grandiosity. And speaking of huge reviews, was it you the one who wrote that unbelievably long Catasexual Urge Motivation (I think that was the band's name.....) review?

Really? That was Noktorn? Well, it does explain the pretentiousness of it..... Though it was still rather impressive. Besides, I think he wasn't named Noktorn when he wrote it. Bah, whatever. Sorry Gunther!

EDIT: This just made me go o_O :nono:

Noktorn has always been named Noktorn. The thing is that it was so long that the site couldn't handle it (it cut off the last few paragraphs) so it got nuked (also for other reasons, namely it was more about himself than the music), but it can still be found on his blog.

What is the site's limit on review lengths? In the event I actually finish writing such a behemoth, I want to know that my dissertation on Sigh doesn't get cut off halfway through.

I'm not actually sure, as it isn't stated anywhere, but if oneyoudontknow's monstrous Ulver review could fit, I'm sure you'll be fine. I'm almost positive that this is currently the longest review on the site.
