I'm enjoying the new Pig Destroyer quite a bit as well. I've always enjoyed PxDx. Great band, don't care if they are grind or whatever.

Yep, great stuff. Haven't been keeping up with them since the demo, though. A full-length would definitely be welcome.

Maybe it's jsut my connection with Prowler that makes me a shitty fan. It was one of the first extreme cds I bought on my own and one of the only albums i've sat reading and rereading the lyrics to. Listening to older pxdx i'm not the biggest fan either, so it's funny that Prowler's the one thing I like, and I happen to think it's one of the greatest records of the 2000's

I love Prowler, but I started with 38 counts before Prowler and thought Terrifyer was great too. Phantom Limb was okay, not terrible as everyone says but not as great. I just didn't dig the longer songs I thought things could've been repeated less overall, not change anything like the riffs or anything. But I guess since it was your first it's different for you, as far as the first grindcore albums I heard was Napalm Death's mid era with Fear blah blah, nasum's inhale exhale, and Benumb's soul of the martyr.

and yes Numerator_41 totally agree must have a full length, I just found out about this tonight. Love it.

You should crush, kill, or destroy the delivery man/ packaging company. Or maybe store credit would be worth it.

I think grindcore might not really be my thing, except for Leng Tch'e and Cephalic Carnage. I like Misery Index, knew them before, but not really something I listen to voluntarily. I couldn't stand the rest. Thanks anyway, I'm just seriously picky.

Will's a cool dude, maybe as the sender he has some authority? I don't know what USPS's rules are when it's clear they broke your shipment.

TheMetalVictor, it's not that you are picky, you are just not a fan of grindcore or anything that's really grindy.

Anomalies wasn't grind or grindish at all. It was their worst album to boot. That album had more in line with spastic metalcore than grind.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of the Vimana stuff. The opening to Destroy Industry sounds neat though, haha.

Anyone have some recommendations for murky, black/grindcore like Aborted Christ Childe?

Really? I don't get a Nunslaughter vibe at all from ACC. Admittedly I haven't listened to much Nunslaughter past the first album, but they seem a lot less unhinged sounding and noisy compared to ACC.

Vimana was a bit too polished for my taste, too much electronics and widdly widdly business for my grindcore sensibilities.

Suffer on Acid
http://sufferonacid.bandcamp.com/album/2011

FFO: Weird grind that nods to powerviolence, yelled "hardcore" vocals, and moderate breakdowns. Not my bag really but I think this might be right up your alley, Fleshmonolith.

Thanks bro. They need to learn how to record, but other wise this is pretty cool. The drums really drown out everything.

I tend to agree. I like the overall raw sound but I hear more boxy drums than anything.

Shouldn't be new listening to anyone who's in here on the regular but for any other cubicle warriors other than myself you can listen to Holocaust in Your Head on Candlelight's bandcamp page. I am right now and work is sucking less already.

I am a HUGE fan of pitch-shifted down-tuned vocals on top of goofy riffs with slow paced drumming such as some rompeprop/gut songs... I have been out of the 'scene' for a while and wasn't sure where to continue my search for the desirable vocal experience that Rompeprop, gut, Amoebic Dysentery and other such bands exude.

Spermswamp, Gynophagia.
Hell there a lot of the gorenoise guys that worship early gut, Human Jerky come to mind, really reccing goregrind is hard for me, most of my material is from 4-8 way spilts, so alot a bands get lumped together, Biocysts def though, Vomitoma and Meatus maybe, eh, if these don't fit the bill they've most defiantly done a split with someone you'll love.

For Mutilationer - Definitetly check out Couple Skate, should be right up your alley. Also check out Super Fun Happy Slide "The Undislodgable Nugget Scenario" Not a whole lot of slow parts but plenty of pitch shifted and wacky vocals. I'm confident you'll find something to like there.

http://coupleskate1.bandcamp.com/

For iAm:

-Never got real heavy into CB so I can't help you there.

-For Agathocles definitely look into Archagathus (The Canadian Horse and Coffee Grinder LP's would both be a good start even though they're some of their most recent material. Coffee Grinder is definitely more raw in the recording department than Canadian Horse just fyi. Their split with Sixbrewbantha is also a banger). You should also check out Pizza Hi Five (their split with Infernal Stronghold is a ripper as is their split with Powercup... who you should also check out) and check out anything Lt. Dan and Misanthropic Noise have done for more mincing fury.

-For Insect Warfare I would expect you're already familiar with PLF but if not definitely check them out (Pulverizing Lethal Force and Crushing Fury of Bastardization are both great). You should also check out NIBIRU for a noisier version of IW (the War Before Extinction ep is a good'n). I'd also highly recommend Suffering Mind (anything) and especially Death Toll 80k, their Harsh Realities LP was the best grind album of 2011. You should also check out Sixbrewbantha... not necessarily because they sound like IW (cuz they don't for the most part) but because they fucking riiiiiiip.

I dig groovy Goregrind with minimal focus on pitch-shifted vocals. Just thick grooves with regular Death Metal growling or screaming. Some pitch-shifting can take place but it really rustles my jimmies when it's just constant diarrhoeal noise. Think Haemorrhage, Cattle Decapitation, Squash Bowels, Exhumed and the like. Any suggestions?

Check out 50/50, that should be enjoyable if you don't mind a fair amount of fast with your grooves.

You should also check out Splatterhouse "The House that Dead Built" which should satisfy your Haemorrhage and Exhumed qualifications quite nicely. Fantastic album and band.

I just heard them for the first time last night. Exhumed is my all time favorite so these guys already have a spot in my top ten. I've also had Birdflesh fever lately. Can't get enough of those guys, they're fuckin awesome!

Same band. I never see them actually going by Pretty Little Flower anymore though and yeah, Splatterhouse is indeed awesome. I was on a Birdflesh kick for a hot minute a couple years ago, should go back and give them another listen... that Splatterhouse / Birdflesh split is top notch on both sides.
