Now this I quite enjoy. Why this wasn't on the self titled album is beyond me, as it would have been one of the best songs on that album for me if it was.

Sounds cool. Pretty sure this is one of the songs Youri wrote.

I completely agree, that shit was sick as fuck! Usually their new vocalist annoys me, but here he isn't that bad and the riffs are crazy.

Holy shit, this song is sick. Should've been on the album. The break at 1:45 is headbanging awesomeness.

Funny how quickly I came to respecting Cryptopsy again.

I am of the same opinion. That track is super tight and it destroys!

I guess why it wasn't on the new self-titled album is probably because it was written ages ago but unreleased. Anyway, not that it matters now :)

Edit:
I just checked the 'notes' under the album description on MA. It says:

I guess they were left off the album so they could create this. Cause I'm def thinking bout getting it for those 3 new songs.

Well, stick a duster up my ass and call me a turkey, but that was actually enjoyable, not to mention Matt actually sounds vicious here, and nowhere near the insipid, by the numbers growling heard on the newest record. Just a very cool Cryptospy track fashioned after the band's older style. Guess that if I had to complain about anything it'd be that the drums are too loud, but besides that, I have no objections whatsoever. It DOES piss me off however, in the sense that the new album wasn't full of this kind of stuff :annoyed:

Yeah this sounds pretty NSV-ish, with a bit of the (relatively) slower BMF thrashy riffing. Nice song.

sounds pretty mint. Shame they won't release the new songs as the E.P as they intended. I don't want to have to buy a best of collection just for 3 songs.

Sheeit. Definitely digging this.

It kind of makes sense that that they left these three tracks off the new record, since that was obviously Jon’s baby and I’m glad we got another full record of his writing. I guess though if Youri is going to keep going forward as their lead guitarist and write more material for the band we might be able to except some more good stuff from them in the future.
