Pyramaze - She Who Summoned Me, from The Legend of the Bone Carver

I'm really enjoying this album, but it could be just because I'm a sucker for albums that tell a story like this

Dimmu Borgir - For All Tid

First listen. I actually am enjoying this. Reminds me of Burzum making love to Emperor.

I understand that they changed quite a bit though lol

Two long, tedious albums.

Helheim - Av Norren AEtt

Sacramentum - Thy Black Destiny

Helheim had some fun folksy moments that kind of reminded me of nokturnal mortum, but for the most part it didn't really hit me, and dragged on a little. Same thing for goes for Sacramentum. I'm somewhat of a fan of Far Away From the Sun, however I found Thy Black Destiny to, like helheim, not really blow me off my feet. Both are albums I don't usually listen to.

I think I'll try a band that I haven't had any prior success getting into; i'm in the mood to try new music tonight.

Moonsorrow - Verisakeet

I'd say it was pretty good. Perhaps a bit too clean for my taste. That's what you get with these big name bands sometimes, I suppose. Not to say muddy production = good music.

Disembowelment - Transcend into the peripheral

That was awesome!

Evoken, unholy, and some others are going onto my iPod for me to listen to tomorrow; I have feeling that I want to get into death/doom music.

"Thundersteel" -
Riot

Someone recommended me this on another forum and I've been blasting it in the car all day.

Hobbs Angel Of Death - Marie Antoinette

Fucking awesome as all get-out Aussie thrash. Great riffs and bone breaking delivery, and they're shit hot live!

Monowar - Death Tone

Put my shades on
Hair blows in the wind
I give some square the finger
Now he won't look again, no he won't

And how could you argue?

Gigan - Quasi-Hallucinogenic Sonic Landscapes

Time for some tech-death craziness. Still trying to wonder if this is as good as their debut. I think it might be. Maybe. Either way, it's Gigan doing what they do best: drill your brain with insanity and excellent guitar work.

Dax Riggs - I'll See You All in Hell or New-Orleans. Trying to think happy thoughts after the soul rape that was the movie I just saw. This soulful, meditative number seems to be doing the trick.

Isengard - Thornspawn Chalice

I prefer the folk-stuff on the Høstmorke album, but I'm not averse to this.

Blut Aus Nord - 777 Cosmography.

I gotta say it's grown on me a bit... I mean it's not as good as the first 2 parts but it's not as bad as I first though.

Funeral Mist - A New Light

I still don't know what on earth the music is aiming at half of the time, but at the same time it's amazing - there are real moments which feel rewarding every time I listen to Maranatha.

LOL!

Pain Is A Master from (2012) Gojira - L'Enfant Sauvage.
Yesterday we went to this show:

GOJIRA + INFEST + ASTHAROG

Astharog was meh, Infest was worse than i remembered and I don't really like Gojira but the show was good!
Is it only me or do the Gojira's fast sections sound like Morbid Angel?!?

Cradle of Filth - Funeral in Carpathia (specifically an interesting version someone made where they mixed the original version and the orchestra version from Midnight in the Labyrinth together).
