Hey King, any plans on coming out to the west coast any time soon? I'm chomping at the bit to catch a Deceased show.

I don't always agree with King Fowley, but I respect his opinion. The guy's totally honest about what he likes and what he doesn't and at the end of the day, that's really cool.

Well, I believe that just as your Defenders of the Old shows are live rituals upholding true metal against false/poser/metalcore bands, the Judas Priest "Angel of Retribution" 2005 tour and the Judas Priest 2008 Metal Masters tour w/Heaven & Hell are also important live rituals that are statements against prevailing stupid trends. Therefore, to me, you badmouthing Judas Priest in Zero Tolerance #4 (March/April 2005) struck me as unnecessary infighting.

i also found it lame when priest turned away from the good metal and dumbed down to pantera stuff to 'fit in' as well as fitting in when hair metal took over in the 80s!
there was no need for that. stay leaders, not followers

metals a 'safe' word again so they came back. never should of been sad to play it or sad to do what they do hen grunge and aggro was in.
fitting in is stupid. be yourself. priest used to lead, now they are lost souls

and to me that's the saddest thing of all

Turbo-I didn't like the change of image and switched to Speed/Thrash Metal at this time. I like "Private Property" and "Reckless", though.

Painkiller-This was a return to form, and I became a Priest maniac again.

Jugulator-Yes, there is some filler but I think that "Jugulator" and "Cathedral Spires" are great songs.

Demolition-I like "Machine Man" and "Feed on Me."

Angel of Retribution-Except for "Lochness", I like it all, especially "Judas Rising", "Hellrider", and "Wheels of Fire."

Nostradamus-The title track is one my favorites.

It's "st. anger" and "death magnetic" that are the real examples of pandering and trying to fit in. These albums rate zero and offer nothing. I'd actually rate "st. anger" and "death magnetic" negative infinity and one.

About Angel of Retribution, I thought it was hilarious hearing the main riff of Revolution and thinking 'Holy shit, this is Jane's Addiction!'
