Thanks, just sent you all the necessary info via PM.

Found a new review from French "Pavillon 666". Google wasn't that great to translate it properly, but here's a bit anyway:
Quote:
A very successful album that will delight fans of the genre and can be a good approach for those who do not yet know the genre.

The full version can be found here.

Just wanted to let you know that all original members of Narrow House who took part in recording of "A Key to Panngrieb" are going to gather in Czech Republic next month to visit "Godspeed you! Black Emperor" gig. So, if any of you guys are planning to go there for the same reason and would like to receive an album from our loving hands - feel free to tell me about this.

One of our songs are going to be played on this radio in a couple of hours (more details on this can be found here). Apparently the playlist it is in was already played on the Halloween. In other news - this Italian online store has some copies of "A Key to Panngrieb" to sell. The album is listed in "Recommended" section (yay!).

Meanwhile we've got a new review from the Romanian "Pest Webzine":
Quote:
The keyboards play also a major part in their music, the vocals are as versatile as they can be but still keeping a growling tone most of the time, the drums and bass lines really capitalize their importance and the excellent production allows all this to happen. So all in all Narrow House released a very good debut album, one that will certainly attract the interest of Funeral Doom followers out there.
They post reviews in a very interesting way, so you'll need to scroll a bit to find the full version over here.

And now for something completely different. A while ago I was interviewed by Czech website "Mortemzine" and they've finally published the article. There's an English version of it and it's pretty huge, and covers pretty much everything. So, if you would like to know us better - you are welcome to read it. Here's a bit:

Quote:
7. What does the word “Panngrieb” means? Does the album has any concept? What can we imagine when we read the title “A Key to Panngrieb”?

“Panngrieb” is nothing and everything at the same time. To start with, this word does not exist (well, until we came up with it, obviously), so save your time and don’t try to find it in the dictionary or ancient mythology. “Panngrieb” can be everything you want it to be, it is an individual experience of each listener and our album is the key to it.

The rest can be found here.

We have another review by the way. This one is from Italian "IYEzine" and curious thing is that nor I, nor the label itself (as far as I know) contacted them to review the album:
Quote:
"Narrow House are offering a very good record full of gloomy atmosphere as they are elegant, going to place not too far from what has been done by the former countrymen Comatose Vigil, and then showing all their devotion to the Skepticism, authentic tutelary deities of this variant atmospheric funeral"

This was a googletranslated bit, and here's the full version.

So, just to remind you - this weekend all original members of Narrow House are going to gather in Czech Republic to visit "Godspeed You! Black Emperor" gig. So, if any of you guys are planning to go there for the same reason and would like to receive an album or just have a chat - feel free to tell me about this.

Just returned from the Czech Republic - that was a wild ride full of beer, Czech national cuisine and everything else which comes with all these things. The GY!BE gig was great and I got myself a cool Kafka shirt.

Meanwhile there's a fresh review from USA based "Infernal Masquerade Webzine". Here's a quote:
Quote:
“A Key to Panngrieb” is definitely for fans of Funeral Doom Metal that need a bit more than just punishing riffs repeated over and over. With the atmospheric elements, Narrow House manages to be above the average bands in the genre and should actually be considered as one of promises of the genre.

The full text is here.

Just noticed that the previous review made the overall count of reviews equal to 20 or so. Anyway, the more the better. It would be cool to have 50 of them . The next one is from Brazilian "Funeral Wedding". They gave us 5 of 5, yay!
Quote:
"With dire guitars, keyboards, atmospheric, ultra-slow drums, this album starts your trip with Poslednee Pristanishe. In the course of its 14 minutes you can experience numerous sensations, especially with entering cello line. Every feeling of anguish and rejection comes to mind and that feeling of emptiness reigns in our tired body"

That was a rough translated bit from original Portuguese version of the article. The full googletranslated text can be found here.

We've got another distro to distribute our stuff - Arx Productions. It is based in Ukraine, Donetsk, so in case somebody is more comfortable to order it from there and not Russia or any other places I was telling you about before, this is your choice.

In other news we've got a review from "Destructive Music" zine from UK:
Quote:
Russian newcomers Narrow House are still defining their own style, but on the basis of this debut they’re well on their way to doing so. The first thing you notice about A Key To Panngrieb is how lush and professional it sounds – big strings, clear, unmuddied production and perfectly crisp drums give the music a depth and space that you don’t often hear in underground Metal. It sounds MASSIVE, and that sound really supports the feel that Narrow House are going for, which is one of utter melancholy and despair.

Listened to the album while falling asleep last night for the first time. Very interesting. I'm looking forward to investigating it more deeply and closing in on that total reviews = 50 goal you have.

Well, it seems there's going to be a little hiatus before there will be any new reviews. I had some time to collect all the places where one can purchase a copy of "A Key to Panngrieb" and put the links on one page. So, here you go.

17 stores from 9 countries all over the world. One of the recent ones - Steinklang Mailorder (Germany).

Thanks to orionmetalhead we've got a great review from his underground metal label, blog and recording studio "Contaminated Tones":
Quote:
Narrow House do a great job at building up to great moments in the compositions and the thirteen minute long Steklianniy Bog is, once again, a highlight in this regard where nine minutes after the initial dirge chimes, bellowing and windy scenes are coaxed from layers of keyboards and cello to, at least for me, send shivers down the spine.

This one is actually something interesting to read, so here's the link to the full text.

This year was really productive for Narrow House. We had an opportunity to present our new post-funeral-era stuff here in Kyiv, and of course we had released our first album. Actually we are really happy how it turned out, as "A Key to Panngrieb" was accepted pretty good generally. This is just a starting point for us, and the new album is in work for some time now. Thanks for support guys and girls, see you in 2013.

And now for something completely different. Recently I saw a Twitter update from St. Vitus saying they've added something new to their Reverbnation account. So, I checked out this web site and created a page there for Narrow House as well. You can find it here.

I've already added some pics and vids there, but it will take some time before I will succeed in adding everything. One of the coolest things about this service is that it gives you an opportunity to actually create an application for Androids and iPhones/iPads/etc. So, if you want all the updates, pics, vids, news, free songs and other blah-blahs in one place - this is a good thing to start with.

It is absolutely free (of course) and can be downloaded here.

It seems like we're receiving some new reviews again. Spanish "Pitchline Zine" on "A Key to Panngrieb":
Quote:
An interesting album, that despite arriving a little late, shows that Eastern Europe is still the undisputed stronghold Doom Metal, and if we dig a little, there are always surprises.

Unfortunately, the confusion fest continues, as they call me an absolute author of the music, and mention our recent saxophone player, who has never participated in recording of that particular album. The full googletranslated version can be found here.

Nobody expected the Spanish inquisition!

Yet another Japanese store spotted selling "A Key to Panngrieb": Weird Truth Productions. And there seems to be some kind of discounts at German based Steinklang Mailorder.

Great, something is happening again :D! "A Key to Panngrieb" has been nominated to "Metal Storm Awards 2012" in "Extreme Doom" category. We will have to fight such doom titans as Ahab, Evoken, Faal and many others to win! So, we need as much votes as we can get :). Can't do that without your help.

To vote you'll have to register at Metal Storm website (you can connect using your Facebook account, so it's pretty simple, actually) and vote for "A Key to Panngrieb" here. Thank you for your support!

Few more stores around the globe are selling our stuff now:

- CD-Russia, а Russian based webstore that seems very English-friendly and willing to send CDs anywhere in the world
- Odio Sonoro, a Spanish label, that has a limited number of our CDs. The owner advises to mail him, as they are not listed in the store: odiosonoro[at]gmail.com

So, we've successfully passed another milestone with recording of our next album. Just like "A Key to Panngrieb" it will also contain cello! But in addition to that we've also decided to use stringed bass (contrabass), which makes it three bass instruments on the future album counting a more common bass guitar as well. Heavy stuff.

Really looking forward to hear this new release. I hope I will have the opportunity to review this one as well. I expect great things, especially considering the addition of more classical stringed instruments. They mesh really well with the style.

Thanks! Though I should note that the new stuff will be more in the vein of traditional doom with different doom subgenres added into the mix. That's what I actually call apocalyptic doom :D. There will be certain nods to funeral doom era of the band, and the general concept of Narrow House will stay the same (as far as I feel), but expect new things to come as well.

Thanks! On 13.04.13 we have recorded all necessary instruments for our upcoming album. The honor to close our last recording session in the studio had been given to saxophone, which will be present in most of the songs. Anyway, we still need our album to be mixed and mastered, so stay tuned!

Today we are happy to show you the album art for our next album - "Thanathonaut". This time we have collaborated with Christophe Dessaigne, a French photographer and digital artist (http://www.midnight-artwork.com/).

His illustrations have been used for covers of many books including works of Stephen King, Agatha Christie, Margaret Atwood and other famous writers.

The face of the new Narrow House album (literally) will become an art called "The Miracle and the Sleeper", which carries the same mystic spirit as "A Key to Panngrieb". Get ready for a new journey to your inner world - it won't leave you indifferent.

Good news for fans of our first album! Petro Rogutskyi who was the part of original Narrow House lineup, will be a guest drummer for "Thanathonaut". Petro will show his workmanship in a new way, proving his talent once again.
