Say what you will about Warrel Dane (though he's one of my favorites) but seriously, this is one of the most impressive vocal performances in metal. Awesome song too.

"I WILL DOMINATE THE LIKES OF YOU!" :headbang:

Yes. I can only hope the new album is one tenth as good.

I always thought Sanctuary were one of the weaker 80s metal bands who got popular. Not very good at all.

Magnum - Just Like an Arrow

Pompous, glammy hard rock.

Stratovarius - King of Nothing

Filling out my Stratovarius catalog. This song has some really nice keyboard work in it, and a strong chorus.

Just bought Polaris myself! It's a catchy album but with a twist of lime here and there in the riffs and melodies, if you get my meaning, it's not overly-typical Euro power metal all the time.

Stratovarius - Fantasy

I'm meaning to pick up their newest album as well, I'm listening to it on Spotify for now.

Marilyn Manson - Lay Down Your Goddamn Arms

It's like Manson started listening to Black Pyramid and decided to do a song in that style.

Timeless. Rotting Christ's last 4 albums are arguably some of the most thoughtfully balanced material in the Metal community. Simplicity combined with complex arrangements, tremendously layered, and more importantly truly Authentic.

I still need to get the newest one, but Rotting Christ are a band that doesn't appear to be slowing down at all.

Of the handful of songs by them I've listened to, my favorite is "In Yumen - Xibalba" from the newest album. So goddamn epic. :np:

Now playing:
Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού by Rotting Christ

Hexenhaus - Incubus (The Awakening version).

Such a fucking heavy and despaired/oppressed sounding song.
Easily a prog-thrash monument!

Great song, although I prefer A Tribute to Insanity's.

Neurosis - To What End?

I don't understand how people think The World As Law is just a crossover thrash album or whatever. This is pretty progressive stuff, closer to NoMeansNo in busyness but with a more hardcore sound. At the moment I find myself enjoying this more than anything they did after that I'm familiar with.

I've listened to the new Rotting Christ album about a dozen times and it's just a labyrinth of majesty. This album is on par with Sanctus Diavolos and might even surpass Theogonia. For those well-acquainted with Rotting Christ know that my claim is quite a statement.
