So, instead of asking that, you could answer these questions: What kind music do they play? Have they undergone big musical changes? Are there valid releases? Samples?

grettings!!

they play now Post-Doom Metal, but before was Atmospheric Doom Metal, Drone, Funeral Doom and Black Doom

I didn't say it should be implemented but the discussion about implementing it or not could be very interesting! ;)

[quote="OpsiusCato"Uhm, well, Vxrex333's submission had the release and tracklist added. Since it was the more complete of the two, I accepted that one.[/quote]

Ok, I undestand it... but eleven days to submit my suggestion? That's what I don´t understand

You mean reject your submission? Eleven days isn't a very unusual time period, sadly. There are so many band submissions that processing them takes some time.

I am new on this site and I am just a tad confused as to why bands like Carnifex and Job for a Cowboy are on here but bands like Chelsea Grin are blacklisted. If someone could enlighten me it would be much appreciated. Also, why am I not allowed to put Five Finger Death Punch? They are undeniably Heavy Metal.

Thanks,
Vkeris.

When it comes to Metalcore and Deathcore, like the bands you listed play, the site only accepts those that are "more metal than core". In other words, are they grounded in metal riffs, which is acceptable for the site, or are they more grounded in the hardcore punk-style riffs found in a number of core bands today, which is not acceptable for the site.

Hi! Exact Division band was rejected for the following reason: "Is the EP physical (CD, tape, etc...) or digital or both? Proof?"
I came back with the photoproofs of physical releasing of EP:

By making a report about it ("report an error" button nearby the logo). I don't see any typos myself though.

edit: Nevermind, it was already corrected.

why is Witherscape blacklisted? its Dan Swanö's new project, and imo it sounds similar to his solo-album which he released in the 90's http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Da ... ntower/264

It was blacklisted because some users tried to add it before it was released. And to prevent the band list getting filled with submissions of that band we had rather blacklisted it.

The band I submitted Withhold the Blood was rejected, because of no physical release. Would it be okay to use a Soundcloud stream as a credible digital download? Thank you. :)

Well, if it's streaming-only, it's not acceptable. However, if it's fully avaliable for download, and it's a final, definitive mix, it is acceptable.

Dubble Bobble were rejected because of the low quality of their EP's recording. It was recorded live. I have listened to it several times and I can hear the guitars clearly.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10P6niB ... ata_player
Here is the complete EP on the official Dubble Bobble YouTube channel.
You can see pictures of the physical CD at http://www.facebook.com/DxBxGoregrind

Here are some live videos (these recordings aren't from the demo just from live concerts)

Hi, I want to know since the band Coffee to Last Night was rejected and asked "Where can this release be purchased? Could you provide a link to where it can be purchased? Do any distros/labels/shops carry it?"

Sure I have the link of proof and already edited on submission notes. But when I clicked "submit it to the queue", then it's weird "Sorry, this band has been blacklisted by the moderation and can no longer be submitted.", but the band didn't go to band queue.

Someone submitted the band or not metal enough (cause more -core?)?

Sorry, my mistake on that one. You should have gotten the "not metal" rejection message, but I clicked the wrong check box for pre-written messages. The band is more -core than metal, or "mallcore" to use the informal term for that style.

Please take it as an April joke, of course I'm not gonna add it to submission queue and will delete it from my drafts, but there's an easy way to ignore the blacklist.
Just look at the screenshots of my bands:

Please, guess: how it can be done? :p It's not a Photoshop, you can look at my drafts now.

Most of us, if not all know how it is done. Enter under a different name then change it do what you want. Even if you clicked yes on that praying mantis link, I bet you would be surprised that it would still say that it is blacklisted and won't be able to add it to the queue.

Never noticed that. I've just used the trick that help me to make a separate Last.fm band pages that share the same name, like Devastation or Legend: insert one (or two) identical Cyrillic symbol(s) instead of Latin in your tags. As result, I had two different band pages for Devastation and Legend. The same here: in the word "Between" I can change the Latin "e" to Cyrillic "е", and they are exactly the same as we see 'em but completely different when we type it :p

I'd like to request the removal of the Danish band The Psyke Project from the rejected bands list. Some years ago, it would have been completely understandable since they started out as a metalcore act, but the band has since dropped that tag and their two latest releases have been complete sludge / post metal. The most recent even has some black metal slipped into the mix. I feel like the only reason they haven't been removed yet is because they were blacklisted back in their core days and then, since they aren't the most popular band on the planet, were forgotten. Here's a link to a stream of their most recent album Guillotine, released back in May, which does have a physical release:

Guillotine: http://thepsykeproject.bandcamp.com/alb ... full-album

Please give some feedback

Do you think nobody has tried it before? Not a big deal, all of them were banned for bypassing blacklist

The reason it was banned was the genre, the blacklist says "More depressive rock than metal".
But 7 full length? I guess that might be a reason to re-check it. Please give links to where we can listen to the release that you'd consider most metal.

A band I submitted, Today the Sun Dies, got rejected for not having a valid release, and I'm not really sure why. In my mind, they both have good enough production, and they're both available for download on the band's bandcamp.

Are both of the band's releases too short to be seen as valid (One is about 16 minutes long and the other is about 12 minutes long)? Or should I include another link for downloading the band's stuff (Amazon, iTunes, etc.)?

theres a band called Glitch on here that changed their name to Swizzlestik, because a band member left (Scott Johnson)and they got a new member to replace him. I know these guys personally, went to school with Jim Grimes and I've seen them live. they opened for Smile Empty Soul once.

Yeah, those are too short. If they have longer digital releases resubmit.

Have they released anything under this name, yet? The submission didn't have anything about that.

Not convincingly metal enough. Try again when they have recorded new material, if it's more metal dominated.
