I don't know what pittdestroyer was thinking here ... He changed the cover for this album to the picture used on Depressive Illusions' website. Reverted, but still.

User GearWing has added many orphan artists since last year. Probably all of them is a good stuff to be deleted.

That's not point-whoring, he doesn't get points for adding stuff to drafts. If the bands don't get approved, they'll be purged automatically eventually. So no need to report it here.

Ok, it's clear.

So check user jurski, he should be banned, as he added many fake profiles:

Again, all those are only linked to drafts. There is no need to report them either. What's fake about them, though?

If he wants to waste his time with bullshit drafts, that's his choice. They'll get nuked eventually. As long he doesn't submit them and/or tries to add crap to the site itself, I don't see a reason to ban him.

You should also tell him to stop useless updates, especially with typos ...

http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Na ... ess/345464: tape => Relsead in Tape => Relesed in Tape.
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Autopsium/126863 => Another releases: The Endless Crave Demo 1997
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/St ... ght/195689 => Name of this EP is Stranger in the Night (WHAT ABOUT THE REPORT BUTTON...)
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Co ... ion/200077 : Reissued as an EP by {label 22326} in 2011. This version may in fact be a re-recording with different members => Reissued as an EP by Forward Regression in 2011, this version may in fact be a re-recording with different members (changing for a comma, what an awesome update...)
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Capharnaum/4227 = first sentence in the bio sounds engrish

OBSCURUM, if you're courageous enoug, you can check here the typos and all his updates :P

Jeez. Took care of that Dogpound album (quite the repeated typos). He had even added the band itself as an artist page (with no capitalization).

I guess for Capharnaum, maybe he means that the original members got back together and then got the dude from Trivium to join them? *shrug*

Oh, God, not sure if I have the courage to check any further. :D

Muhammadabbadabba went thru the Grinded Nig discography and simply added the last known lineup to every album from 2002 onward. Since he's a Metal Knight, perhaps he's done some really good research, but I'm skeptical.

Now that I'm home, I'll provide as much evidence as I can. According to the band, the tracks from the unreleased "Racial Mutilation" (I recently submitted a request for its removal which Porman took care of) were recorded a year prior to the album's planned release in 2004. After its shelving, they were split up onto "Shriek of the Mutilated" and "Hate Grind vs. Hate Punk." The line-up credits on "Shriek of the Mutilated," which apparently apply to every track on there (and thus, the line-up for Nazi Headbanger and Hate Grind vs. Hate Punk), can be found here. Several interviews also indicate the line-up never changed from "Freezer..." onward, and pictures in "Hate Grind vs. Hate Punk" recycle pictures used in an interview with Volkermord.com and the Shriek of the Mutilated CD, which to me, suggests the line-up stayed intact.

Interviews:
https://web.archive.org/web/20061128000 ... ednig.html

Their official "biography":

Well now I feel foolish for asking.

On a side note, that Bio is quite the piece of work.

Just a question, is Mutiilation the to go guy to modify logos? The only reason I came across him cause the band I just added he decided my logo looked better with a color inversion. If he's going to do something like that at least make the eye white in the middle like how it's supposed to be I guess. But looking through his mod history he seems to do a lot of logo adjustment.

http://www.metal-archives.com/users/Mut ... on_history

I went on fixed what he did on the band. I had a black and white logo done back 4 years ago where it wasn't half assed like what he did.

Simply inverting black-on-white logos to better fit into the site's color theme is something that usually works without a problem. I do it quite often myself (obviously not with coloured logos, though). I suppose there's the potential for small glitches like the eye thing you mention, but eh. I haven't encountered any problems with Mutii's logos so far and this one seems like a minor mistake.

Yea I didn't think it was really point whoring since you know he has 12k. But that's good to know next time I submit a band to make sure the logo is more stylistically thematic with the rest of the site. Just was aggrivated with the laziness of it.

Ok, the reissue is invalid. It seems he also added bootlegs. I already warned him. Anybody up for the cleanup?

EDIT: Gee, guys! Thanks for volunteering! Yeah, I already finished reverting all his edits, so there's no need for more helping hands :P

Upcoming albums require an exact release date to be added. July is not an exact date.

Huh, some of them are questionable, like numbers to letters I guess my bad for not seeking that out.

User insAnum is going through an alphabetical list of bands that start with the word "Black" and changing various little things, usually changing a single word's letter to be either capitalized or lowercase (this isn't consistent either).

Another indication that this is point whoring is going back to the last page of his modification history, you see he focuses on entire albums. But he's changing them track by track. The album Firefrost Arcanum by Vesania has different values for times (ranging from 01:39:29 to 01:39:31).

I checked some of his title changes and all are valid updates for correct capitalisation. Couldn't find track-by-track point-whoring either. EDIT: Well, he updated three titles, then the next four, etc... for the album you mention, but perhaps he simply forgot or closed the windows, whatever... hardly excessive.

Have you checked this?

Eh yeah, Cursarion actually reprimanded him last year for doing the opposite. He's not breaking any rules, though I'm trusting he's not blindly going from album to album mechanically rearranging roles like that.

um, I been doing that too, as I've seen mods do it too... is it not "desirable" to have the roles like that? if not, please remove 1000 points from me :(

It doesn't really matter at all for album lineup roles. Leave it be, please, there are so many other, more important things to do.
