Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, is a radical muslim who supports the death penalty for Salman Rushdie. Chris Cornell of Soundgarden recently joined Yusuf on stage. Isn't Cornell lending moral support for censorship by this action?

Can you please be a little more specific about what this thread is supposed to tell us or have us discuss? Sounds like a cool performance anyway.

Cat Stevens seems to be a musician first and foremost. Just because Cornell joined him on stage doesn't make him anymore supportive of Stevens' controversial statements than Fenriz or Abbath are of Varg Vikernes' white supremacism.

This.

Just because you play something with another musician doesn't mean you support every political view held by that musician.

I guess Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam is no longer riding the "Peace Train." That song annoys me so much, but not as much as people who think Salman Rushdie should be put to death.

1. Calling Yusuf Islam a radical muslim is a severe watering-down of the term "radical muslim".
2. On the Rushdie thing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat_Steve ... an_Rushdie
3. Your whole post is such a dumbing down tabloid media approach, where instead of finding out someones actual views by research you wanna go with some guilty-by-association bullshit. I hope this sort of thread don't become common on this forum.
