Deleted Liv Kristine's eponymous pop/gothic rock project. We're moving away from having anything that sounds like Britney Spears on the archives, even if it's a famous metal singer.

Deleted "Sedunum" and moved the album of that title to the Xytras page, as it was released under the artist name Xy.

Flushed Drain down the drain, and I accept your apology for having me listen to this.

I'm inquiring about the acceptance of the band Humungus. While heavy, their songs swing wildly between Hard Rock, Hardcore/Oi!/Punk and Metal. I'm not sure there's enough Metal to merit inclusion on this site. In any case, they certainly aren't Black Metal, as you'll soon hear.

A Temps Héroïques, Jeunesse Héroïque

Split with Wolfsangel (marked at 17:17 for your convenience)

Sans pitié ni remords (whole album)

Just curious as to why the band Depths https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Depths/3540332813 was accepted? I'm not saying they should be removed (I'm a fan) but they are predominantly deathcore.

I'll take a look at the open stuff in here soon. EDIT: Nevermind, thanks Zodi

Deleted:
Pound Fish Cake - nu-metal
Cloud Nine - nu-metal
Sejant - err... I don't know what this, but it's neither metal nor has VR, some kind of terrible bedroom project
Havana Black - hard/southern rock

As part of the continuing re-evaluation of non-metal inclusions, these side projects have been deleted:
Enoch, King Buzzo, Michael Pinnella, Mike Terrana, Sagittarius, Stahlmantel, Veil of Darkness, W.O.G.U.E., Waterclime, Wisdom of Crowds

Replies to last two posts:
Humungus - RAC, not predominantly metal. Deleted.
Depths - Deathcore, with some metal moments, but mostly -core. Deleted.

Blod Besvimelse (Germany). Labelled as "ambient/black metal", but the recent compilation finally gave us a chance to hear the entire works, and the whole thing is keyboard music with clean singing - there's maybe 30 seconds of metal over the entire three-dozen songs.

This was added back in 2004, and at the time I very vaguely recall there being a huge buzz around Bettinger's music (It's not even him, it's his wife). Whether or not that was added base on the assumptive rule we all used naively or not I can't tell.
Anyway, I've uploaded the complete tape online for revision - please mail me on here or externally if anyone wants to take this on.

Everything worked just fine. It has been a bit busy at work and I forgot to check it out, but I'll do so either in a couple of hours or tomorrow morning.

Hey, thank you Opsius. Please don't justify not jumping on it immediately, I was a mod once and it was so busy back then I can't begin to understand how it is now with a paid job too! I just appreciate you taking this one!

Dunedain - black metal from Chile. I do not think, that this band has physical rleases. It was accepted by Christkiller in 2005 without any links or visible proofs of physical rlease. I also rember that the mmusician was some weird neo-nazi, who was soon banned from the forums, not a trustworthy person atl all. I did a search on Goodle for the demo without any resulsts outside Metal Archives and Metal Kingdom: https://www.google.cz/search?source=hp& ... u45lbzxdnY https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Dunedain/30882
Vizir - Czech band, my old submission- melodic hard rock https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Vizir/95682

The German band Wise Man is listed heavy metal, but to me it sounds predominantly hard rock in the stlye of bands such as Uriah Heep,Deep Purple and early Whitesnake. Their full album on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-P2UEtY2v4 https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Wi ... 3540331466
The Norwegian folk ambient band Hagalaz' Runedance. The music has nothing to do with metal whatsoever, their status as a side project is doubtful -Samoth from Emperor played only on their first album and more as a guest. It was also submitted by a regular user. https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ha ... dance/5108 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ua_Nuv9 ... 1ED0A5CC89

Hello Witcher. Glad to see you're back active. As I had answered you on the report about this, Hagalaz' Runedance is a scene affiliation-selected exception. Morrigan has explicitly stated that this stays. So it stays and that's about it.

Hi. Just wondering why The Great Kat was accepted. More than 10 years ago, I tried submitting The Great Kat to this site, but was rejected with the reason from someone of the staff being something like 'it's not metal but gimmick music.' Now I see it's been added :)

It was accepted back in 2006 (only 3 years after you created your account), that's quite a long time ago.

Answering your question, if you listen to the "Worship Me or Die" album you can tell that behind the "shredding" there are sub-par thrash metal riffs written all over the album.

To be honest, I'm not quite familiar with the rest of her discography, but that particular album makes it qualify to the site musical standards.

Yeah, a long time ago. I remember her website back then barely had info, and I was searching everywhere for info on her albums, cover pics, etc. Wasn't easy, and then submission denied lol. Thanks for the explanation.

Any change, after their two latest metal releases, that 'those who shall not be named*' can be added to MA? I know they hit some kind of furious reaction when brought up, but they are more metal than half of MA.

The only furious reaction is because people don't read the first post or use the search engine before posting passive-aggressive crap.

Legendary of Lanna from Thailand. Why this band got accepted?

I submitted this band on 17th April and got rejected because not enough samples to verify it is predominantly metal. Then, another user submitted it and got accepted later on 19th. My curious is, does he can provide more samples than the two tracks on YouTube and got accepted?

https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Le ... 3540439840

These are only samples that present on public.

Why was 티삼스 (Korea) accepted? For their only album, it sounds like pop rock with emphasis on ballads.

Miserere Luminis --> Actually a collaboration album of Gris and Sombres Forêts.

Warkull --> Almost exclusively ambient/noise with only a couple metal-ish songs. On top of that, most releases appear to be fakes/invalid.

Zander --> Hard rock.

Ricardo Palma Fanjul --> Only release is a reissue of one of the works of a previous band of one of the members.

Why was this band (Kaamos) accepted/not deleted yet?

There have been edits in the past for a Demo that was released in 1995, but that apparantly belongs to a different band with the same name (this one)

Is there any info on anything they released? Otherwise this might be deleteworthy.

I remember them being brought up before, but Eric Steel didn't sound metal to me from the songs I've heard.

https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Eric_Steel/95644

You may want to reconsider having them here; there are definitely more metal bands than these guys who aren't listed.
