Anything you deem of an aquatic nature? In short, it's stuff with muffled, somewhat ethereal production/instruments, usually some chorus pedals as well.

This entire album is the best example I think:

As is this one:

The production on a lot of classic Greek BM can be rather submarine, as well, in my opinion:

Any other examples you people know of? Be as subjective as you like, I'm curious to see what you consider "aquatic".

Thy Catafalque aren't particularly normal sounding regardless, but much of their early-mid stuff including the Gire album has this to me. Very ethereal sound, mostly with the keys, but the guitars can add to the sound too at certain times.

Special mention to the song "Neath Waters" from the third album. It has a bright and pretty sounding first half before transitioning into a gloomier keyboard only second half. Makes me think of somewhere tropical, like somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico in the first half and then having a hurricane pass over you.

Wildpath - Dive

This feels very Caribbean and qualifies as aquatic

You could listen to many Equilibrium songs:

- Unbesiegt

- Ruf in den Wind

- Dämmerung

- Die Affeninsel

- Der Wassermann

- Kurzes Epos

Peter Crowley also released a pretty cool symphonic metal album that feels super aquatic and stuff.

The Samans - My Exodus

This song feels very water-y and the mood is so beautiful. It does feel very refreshing. Check out this baby out.

One of my favorite aquatic-themed releases... water-logged funeral doom.
