Wow, that's awful. I never really got a chance to interact with him outside a brief exchange in the fitness thread, but he was obviously a beloved pillar in this community and thirty one is just too damn young to go. Rest in peace, man.

Damn that's horrible. So sudden as well. I haven't had any real conversations with him, but he was a big presence on this board, and to realize he's gone just like that is certainly a punch in the gut. RIP, Diamhea.

Never interacted with him much directly but always got a kick out of it when he would post the hilarious rejected reviews in the 'Crappy Diem' thread. His legacy will live on through his work here and through his music! May he rest in peace...

That's terrible news. He seemed like he was such a dedicated and passionate person. He was certainly a cornerstone of the archives. I wish I had known him better. May he rest in peace.

Rest in peace, brother... The whole metal fraternity is, and will be, with you.

"In Union We Stand", like your idols use to sing; in this or the afterlife...

Heard about this through another channel he also used. Very saddened, though perhaps not entirely shocked.

He had a combination of patience and resolve uncommon in this or any walk. Rest in peace.

Fuck. He was a machine on the review queue, accepting so many of my reviews, willing to put up with my oddball/terrible tastes. He was also one of the best reviewers too. Way too young.

Time to crank some Killbox 13.

Was looking forward to going at it with him for a Review Challenge title next winter, now I'll be dedicating every one I write for this coming challenge to him. Before the challenge I think I'll hit some melodic death metal material like Raintime and Kalmah, two of several bands in the sub-genre that we both were fans of.

R.I.P. man, we won't be the same without you. :(

Not much to say except rest in peace. I've been a member of the site for 14 years, but even in all that time nothing has hit me this hard.

Same here. This is devastating and I don't even know what to say. Chris was one of the best guys I've ever known. Fuck this world.

Rest in peace. I spoke with him briefly a couple of times through Metal Archives' Discord server--he certainly emitted a genuine, and passionate character that is rare to witness. A guru when the topic pertained to physical fitness, he assisted me in programming muscle-growth routines. He will be missed.

I never got a chance to thank him for putting so much of himself into keeping this site, a place that has meant a whole lot to me for a long time now, the place it is. He was the best of us in that regard; no one else holds a candle.

I've never meant this as much: rest in peace, Dimmy.

I remember first reading his review of Esoteric by Skyfire and then proceeding to keep a close eye on all of his reviews from then on out. He introduced me to so many bands and he never knew it. Rest in Peace.

Blood Stain Child's new album The Legend releases on June 1st. I was hyped for it not just because it was their first album in 7 years and it was going to feature former members, but I knew Diamhea liked the band and I wanted to read what he had to say about it, knowing that if he had the chance to write about it he would. I didn't talk to him a lot but I was a big fan of his reviews (even though he blasted Phantom Shadow, one of my favorites to smithereens) and even though I don't write that often (and it's terrible when I do), he still influenced me quite a bit.

I'm also currently going through a list I've compiled of noteworthy melodic death metal albums, and now that he's gone I keep thinking "man, I really should have asked him for some recs," knowing how much of a melodeath fan he was. RIP

This sucks beyond belief. Chris was one of the good ones. It's gonna be weird not seeing him around here anymore, and a major piece of what made this site work so well is just gone like that. Fucking lame.

R.I.P.

Wow, this really sucks. He was a pretty big melodeath fan if I recall. He gave me a few good recs. I may have given him one as well.
RIP.

The guy had an incredible work ethic and was always clearing the ever full review queue. Always had a good laugh seeing what he would post on the Crappy Diem forum.

RIP, he will be missed.

A damn shame. Aside from reading many of his reviews over the years, I guess the biggest impact he had on me personally was just associating his username with the site itself. Anytime I'd think about the site, or think about users you could call "household names", he was near the top of the list.

My thoughts are with all who knew him personally.

I’ll miss talking about the subtle nuances between Rage, Overkill and Grave Digger albums with him in #metal. Rest in power (in black), man.

Jeez, I thought this was some kind of a sick joke... I couldn't understand why would MA post such an awful April Fools' Day joke so late in May... Unless, of course, if it were not a joke at all, but truth.

Rest in peace, man. I never really talked with you, only through reports, but you seemed like a swell guy and a smart person. You were too young to leave so early... See you on the other side.

wow, just wow... I first also thought like Rip as a moderator which was hard to believe because then you wouldn't write RIP of course, then to discover he wasn't an old dude but 31! RIP true hero of the MA's all the strength to your family and friends!
