This should be brilliant going off pretty much everything else they've done. Love that it's coming out on Halloween. They're one of those bands that just bleeds metal from every pore.

will be purchasing this as soon as it drops. Love every album Deceased have put out, and they tear the roof off of the place when they play live. King Fowley is one of the very few that genuinely gives his all to what metal is about.

I guess King isn't doing drums for this one? Kinda sucks, loved his style, but I think I remember reading an interview where he said that he was running out of stamina to be able to keep up with the pace of Deceased. Surreal Overdose is fantastic, though, so I'm still looking forward to hearing what these guys have in store.

All Deceased is good, so this should be no different. Honestly, one of the most solid discographies in metal. This one's been a long time coming... I'm hoping for a slightly more death-like approach and a bit more dirt in the production. If that's not the case,I'm sure it'll still be great.

I know what i'm getting on Halloween! The song titles look awesome. I'm especially keen on hearing that 12 minute opus. Should be a fun listen.

As close to a flawless discography as you're likely to every witness, I expect this to be good. And yeah, it's too bad King's not doing the drums. I really enjoy his style as well.

The stroke he had years back plays a big part of it. He had some loss of ability on his left and he's left handed. Dave encompasses his style probably better than anyone else could live. The whole "wheels getting ready to fall off the train but somehow held together" vibe that King always brought is definitely intact. At the same time, he's incredibly tight. Can't wait to snag a copy.

Hasn't Fowley been promising this album for years now? Either way, I hope they follow through. Last Halloween HHR released Acid Witch's Evil Sound Screamers. That's a difficult one to top, but Deceased is up to the challenge. For some reason Surreal Overdose doesn't work for me, though I agree overall their discography is top tier and one of the few death metal bands with a middle and late period much stronger than their early one.

Looking forward to this, and I hold everything from Fearless Undead Machines onward in very high regard, but shy of HHR owning their own pressing plant, it seems unlikely that they turn this around for Halloween if the band doesn't start recording until September. Maybe they can get the CD version done, but it feels like there's no way in hell that they'll get vinyl turned around that quickly.

Looking very forward to this nonetheless.

Cover art looks great and there's no need for the CD and LP to coincide.

On a wider note: could anyone explain why Fearless Undead Machines is seemingly universally considered their best work? I think it's their worst. :P

Obviously, this album is an automatic purchase along with everything Deceased has released to this date. I'm curious if the musicianship throughout this album will be similar to their song, "Torn Apart by Werewolves" from their 2015, Cadaver Traditions compilation: The song's musicianship is wild, fast, and frantic suffice to say. Assuming that Ghostly White will continue the musicianship trend embodying Surreal Overdose, this album will be nothing short of fantastic.

I'm unsure why Fearless Undead Machines is considered Deceased's best album, as if I thought that Supernatural Addiction was held in a higher regard than the former album. I suppose that the impressions are mixed, since As the Weird Travels On is my favorite Deceased album.

I’m not sure Deceased have a “worst”... maybe Surreal Overdose imo (funny how those two also have the highest review percentage), but I’ve never really heard Fearless Undead Machines touted as their best. It was my first Deceased album and I love the concept and music but it’s too long of an album. My favourite album is probably a toss up between Blueprints and As the Weird Travel On.

I think Fearless Undead Machines just hits the hardest and has the most killer moments. It's excessive in a great, glorious way. But any of the three following it are about equally as good. They are almost a Motorhead-level quality.

If it's woven into good songs and not Wintersun stuff, sure.

I feel like Fearless Undead Machines is as highly regarded as it is because it marks a shift in sounds and presentation by the band so to speak. It's a departure from the more straight forward death metal of the earlier works and heightens the traditional metal leanings of their current sound. It also crystalizes the story telling aspect of the band through the concept of the album. Plus, zombies are popular as fuck. Having said that, While I do love Fearless Undead Machines, it's probably the album that I pull out the least when I'm feeling the urge to throw on some Deceased.

Definitely awaiting this with excitement. I saw them twice this spring and they blew my head off. I'm sure this will be great!

Man I'm so hyped on a new album. They never disappoint, but Surreal Overdose was like a shotgun blast to the face. They had been doing the Maiden thing for so long, I really didn't think they had it in them to inject those Repulsion-inspired sections again. Not only do they slaughter their way through those grinding parts, they actually manage to marry them up with the Maiden-stuffs!

Fearless Undead Machines has some of their best moments, and it's where they fully owned the heavy-handed Maiden influences. That album is so full of triumphant gallops and soaring leads, it's fucking sick. It is WAY too long though. Way too long. Surreal Overdose and As the Weird are probably my two favorites, with Supernatural Addiction right there as well.

I had a feeling there’s no way they’d make a Halloween release if they only started recording in September as it was previously said. Two weeks isn’t that serious of a delay, though.

The track on the bandcamp page absolutely rips. This is gonna be a good one.

This new song is great. Epic without feeling overlong. Looking forward to the rest of the album, and to seeing the lyrics; King tends to write interesting lyrics.

This is a pretty great new tune, yeah. Sounds like more trad-metal oriented riffing as opposed to the gnarlier thrash of the last one. I welcome it. Fowley sounds amazing too. Can't wait to hear the whole thing.

Speaking of King Fowley's vocals, I feel like he is one of the very few that have gotten better as they have aged. Love his approach, and there is no mistaking his style.

Man, that's fucking crazy! I was wondering who played the drums on the new album , so I was checking out his profile on the archives yesterday when I was thinking about buying the new album after hearing a track off it. Needless to say it was fucking awesome and just purchased the album from Hells headbangers after hearing the bad news. RIP Dave Castillo.

Bought the cd from hellsheadbangers but couldn’t wait so I downloaded off of soulseek. FUCKING AMAZING and mostly likely is gonna be my AOTY. Their best since Supernatural Addiction and that’s saying something because Surreal Overdose was a really good album! RIP Dave “Scarface” Castillo. Your drumwork on this album will live on!

I think the production and King Fowley's vocals are some of the best they've ever sounded. The writing seems much more epic than anything since Fearless Undead Machines, too, and this is probably a more digestible work with their years of experience now.
