Man, what's with Soft Kill being on metal bills lately? They also did a few shows last year with Harm's Way if I recall correctly. Really odd considering they're essentially a post-punk band. Not complaining or anything, just a strange pairing.

I've been to their SF show and can't speak highly of it.
With respect, the 2 lineups so boringly played for like 40mins. and then when skeletonwitch played, I couldn't even hear any riffs let alone basses which are drowned in over loud drumming and vocal.

I definitely thought they weren't a very sensible addition to the bill. They weren't bad but it would've made way more sense for one of the other bands to play directly before Skeletonwitch. That said Devil Master was my main reason for going and they made the drive to Columbus worth it for me.

Interesting to hear the bass drowned out everything in Skeletonwitch’s set, it was the same case when they played the Decibel Magazine tour in 2016. And not only could you not hear any of the riffs, but Adam’s stage presence paled in comparison to Chance’s. Skeletonwitch was one of the first live metal bands I ever saw and I probably saw them 6 or 7 times before Chance left, with each performance as crazy and fun as the last. That Decibel magazine performance was a shadow of the band I once knew. It’s a shame how far they’ve fallen. Their new album wasn’t anything special either.

When I first saw this bill, I thought it looked hipster as fuck.
