Regarding Xes: The band belongs to a circle called Satanic Legion FFF. The split IS A 2004-2007 COMPILATION RLEASE TOGETHER WITH THE BANDS mACTIAN AND nECRO. SAMPLES:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAZ4b52rbJc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8B0aBS4xv7o

This brings me to the fact, that there are also other bands from that circle, that reportedly have releases. The following bands all play raw metal and are all from Pacoima, California. The style isn't exactly my cup of tea, so whoever finds some useful proofs of physical/valid releases, can submit them straight away without hesitation:

Needs research. - Voice
Demo "Despair" 2007: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjLTJZ5DSFMe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFWs4RjSQ5o
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2IRGWIEKcY

Needs research. - Necro : Released a 2004-2007 Compilation Split With Mactian and Xes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0z6QDfBJLEI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h3DSJJD19M

Mactian is a dark ambient band, not metal.

Needs research. - Oath In Blood: Released a self-titled demo in 2009
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao0YfJlz2YY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGtcVCMx5AQ

Needs research. - From Another Dimension:
Released an untitled demo in 2009
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjYfop4nE9Y
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AfWyscT8sE

Info about the Satanic Legion FFF circle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsiw3WM7rhk
This guy certainly knows more aboutthe releases, since he seems to be affiliated with the circle or even a band member:

Theianism scratched. Rough rehearsal demos, only one was for actually released (bandcamp, Mediafire), was rather short (2 songs) and badly produced. Too rough for a digital only thing.

But it was all dumped in that one zip file released under the dude's artist name as a compilation of everything he recorded. Will take a look at those other bands soon.

Updates regarding some bands posted by me:

Regarding Projeto S: I forgot to mention, that the band leader Sandro Eccard has a Youtube account here:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCF9KfJ ... DXOYMJylDQ

His Googleplus account: https://plus.google.com/106145520251232 ... 2UqRpRbCkR The line-up of the band was Sandro Eccard - Guitars, Bass
Sandrinho - Vocals
Missias Laves - Guitars
Leonardo Gustavo - Drums

Regarding Sentinela : I found the Youtube aaccount of their vocalist Ferreira Jr. : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVju-1 ... cFPBN5Rr2g
If you read the comments on the uploaded here, you will see, that a user named Joao Ferreira Jr. answers a question about the exact location of the band and mentions, that the band ended in 2011 after their vocalist, who has written most of their sonds, had left. It is mentioned in the video description , that the band was founded by the vocalist Ferreira Jr.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5Sthmz-LNM
http://gospeldownloadfree.blogspot.com/ ... raiba.html

Band: Ferreira Jr (Vox); Ed (Bass); A.Filho (Guitar); Jeferson X. (Drums) and Renato Oliveira (Keyboards)

Regarding Héros : I found their line-up info:

Márcio Mendes / Guitars, Violin, Keyboards

Júlio Gogó/ Vocals
Sérgio Mendes/ Bass
http://gospeldownloadfree.blogspot.com/ ... odico.html

Regarding Idare: Their former guitarist Maasa has a new solo project called sirene. He was also in Vampire Rose.

Official Sirene Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCzVxu ... 2oKGkDr1Qh
https://www.jpopasia.com/sirene/

Regarding Glace: Their drummer Ryohei has also played in the well-known visual kei band Candy. I have also found recently an info page on Glace , unfortunately it is all in Japanese
https://www22.big.or.jp/~yunisan/vi/glace.html

https://www.vkdb.jp/CANDY.html#gsc.tab=0
https://www22.big.or.jp/~yunisan/vi/candy.html
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1wlctq9y30

Regarding Tullip: I found an info page about them, it was made before the release of their ep, but it contains some useful info like the full names of the band members, contacts and it also mentions, that they were recording the ep in the time the page was published: http://tnb.art.br/rede/tulip

I think I came across that post a while ago, but not sure if I ever contacted the guy. Looking at my PMs there and my general email archive, I didn't. He does have an address listed, so I'll give it a try. Thanks.

Released a demo tape in 1989. I messaged the next band of some of the guys (called Nevermore) and requested a rip of said cassette tape. Did some Googling, and found nothing. While I wait for the rip (or the a message telling me to kindly fuck myself), I figured I'd put this here since some of you seem to be Google Wizards.

I found one song oof this band on youtube, it is called "Children". The cassette was self-titled and was released in 1989. If you have Youtube account, you could try to contact the channel owner and ask for details, since I have seen him already in the past answering such requests. The song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLWG2qdTmhE
Edit: Threshold islisted on Discogs, so here is the complete tracklisting of their demo and the line-up, who recorded it: https://www.discogs.com/Threshold-Thres ... e/12426498

Thanks, but this is a completely different band.

Sorry then, but since the style and release year fits the ddescription, I thought it might be possibly just a mistake in location. Thaks for clarifying it.

Needs research. - RAMG (Peru, Thrash Metal/Hardcore/Crossover?)
- Reh. 1992 (1992, demo-tape)

Interview here: https://scontent.fscl12-1.fna.fbcdn.net ... e=5CD1D10D They call it "thrash hardcore metal", see question #5 for some band influences. This was submitted based on it, but it's a tad too ambiguous for my taste considering the genre. Probably some kind of acceptable crossover, but samples or additional description needed regardless.

Added. - Mordax
Spoiler: show
Genre: Death Metal
Location: Landskrona, Sweden
Lineup:
Gustav (1998 RIP) - Vocals
Markku - Guitars
Danne - Bass
Asp - Drums

Found an abandoned rejection from 2012 of this band claiming they released a demo called "The Bitter End" in 1992.
He claims this was the cover art: https://imgur.com/RnxOJ
Looks a bit too new/fake, but who knows...
He also included samples for all songs, but the links are no longer working

There's one song online, claiming that the demo was called "Clumps of Abdominal Tissue", release year and tracklist match with the one from the submission

Tracklist:
1.The Bitter End (intro)
2.Clumps Of Abdominal Tissue
3.Sickening Meat Of Mutation
4.Seduction Of The Dead

For those interested, the submitter also included the lyrics:
CLUMPS OF ABDOMINAL TISSUE
I urge the taste of putrid flesh
The cauldron is ready for the broth
With accurate perfection I fix the feast
Spice the feaces with slushy scabs

Implements ready for incision
Your body is mine to consume

You belch, you bleed
On your body I feed
You panic, you scream
Served with whipped cream

Clumps of abdominal tissue
Stuck to my bloody face
Clumps of rotting tissue
All over the fucking place

I separate your head from your body
And ejaculate down your throat
Your fingers are turned into french-fries
Sticky balls microwaved with rice

Urinary cocktails
To satisfy my sick lust

Violent gush of entrails
You´re ripped apart
Nauseating pool of details
Tear out your heart

You belch, you bleed...

Clumps of abdominal tissue...

Your wart-encrusted eye-balls
I chew with a crunchy sound
As I swill your coagulating blood
Not a single drop left to be found

Invited to the feast
Welcome to your funeral...
(ASP)

SICKENING MEAT OF MUTATION
Grotesque deeds of a psychopath
Bloody chunks of human flesh
Morbid killings in unleashed wrath
Mangled bodies immersed in cess

Psychopathic laughter - harshing
Axe of blasphemy - hacking

SICKENING
Lumpen bowels bleed
SICKENING
Meat of mutation

Grime and vomit - effervescing
Pale skin turns permanently black

Terrifying act of disembowelment
Practiced by a horrible creature
Oozing juices from galled entrails
Ejected in an astounding cascade

Disarticulation complete
Separate sickening meat
Crunchy cartilage basting
Psychopathic mind feasting

Psychological extacy - blasting
Axe of blasphemy - hacking

SICKENING...

When no lives are left to be taken
He´ll eat himself away

Brutal murders of perversity
Disemboweled cadavers drowned in mould
Elaborately dismembered to be
Consumed before they´re growing cold

Psychopathic laughter...SICKENING...
(ASP)

SEDUCTION OF THE DEAD
Through the dark hallways of the cellar
I approach my nest of love
A lust is raging inside of me
Drooling, I enter the cold-room

Sniff the putrid reek
Necrophelia - awake in me

Lovesick and horny, I remove the shroud
Ice cold mistress, I will penetrate

Seduction of the dead - My hunger must be fed

Orgasmic convulsions
Cum is pumping
Sprawling, slab jism
Warming up the corpse

My semen is dripping from the stiff
As I prepare my leather whip
I lash the corpse ´til I erect
But this is just the foreplay

Decomposing and still, you recieve my fill
Cold, starring stiff - heading for extacy

Seduction of the dead...

My spawn is sprawling inside the dead body
As I prepare a private autopsy
I know your heart is finally mine
As my tongue tickles the empty vessels

Avulsion and ablation, now beyond recognition
Piece by piece, I will devour

Seduction of the dead
My hunger must be fed
Seduction of the dead
The seed has been spread...
(ASP)

Rock - Blue Steel
Spoiler: show
It may eventually prove to be a hard rock band*, but it's probably worth adding to the list.
http://www.discogs.com/Blue-Steel-Blue- ... e/12210531 (described as Rock > Heavy Metal/Hard Rock)

Not to be confused with the listed Blue Steel.

*On one of the band members' YouTube channel, there's a Whitesnake cover...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2LzvJ82ntU
...and some videos of another project of his called Headblender, which is grungy hard rock w/ funk metal elements.

So, I'm going by the Discogs entry alone. It's probably worth asking BloodOfChrist, since the band's from Ohio.

It's the same guy who added it to Musik-Sammler, so Az might have done that already.

Armenian Dance (Jpn):
Is this band metal enough? Here's their only released demo. They also had a compilation appearance on the V/A release Hungry Days - "I Want To Win Glory Someday", but a live version.

Did you read the first post?
Quote:
What this thread is NOT
  • Where you can ask about why bands were blacklisted/deleted
  • Where you can ask about/appeal in regards to bands rejected for not being metal
  • Where you can ask about listed entries you think shouldn't be here or think are otherwise suspect
  • Where you can ask whether this or that band would be acceptable

The last point includes asking if it's metal or not ;)
This thread is for research on obscure bands who lack info that is mandatory for a submission, meaning to find either samples or actual proof for a valid release (or both), not for simply asking if band x is acceptable or not, that's what the band queue is for.
Or are you looking for help finding proof for that release? In that case it's a bit awkwardly phrased ;)

I appreciate your confidence, but if I were a mod, I probably wouldn't accept on those two samples. I agree that those songs are in that vein, but who knows about the rest of the release? So many bands played one or two metal tracks on albums like this back in those days, just kind of tossing whatever might work at the wall, especially these less-known bands. Good luck, though.

It's the same guy who added it to Musik-Sammler, so Az might have done that already.

This is the same guy who added the Eternity's Voice demos and he doesn't have any means of ripping tapes by himself. He told me he paid someone else to do it for EV. I might eventually ask him for the Alien tape as well, but I don't want to push it for now.

Needs research. - Helltra
Genre: Black Metal
Location: Calgary, Alberta (Canada)
Formerly known as Crooked Cross (~2011-2012)

Another old rejection from the deletion limbo.
Released the Album Satan Rises in late 2013/early 2014. Contacted the homepage e-mail (which is dead) and the facebook site (which is now called Mørk Tønseth). He said that there were CDs and will send me the whole release (digitally) once he found it on one of his flash drives. Idk, a bit more proof would be nice since the only official announcement is a "First album "Satan Rises" IS OUT NOW" on their homepage, but no info on how to buy it or a photo or anything. Probably sold at gigs.

Uhhh, no. Guess we'll have to wait for someone to find something on his own instead of going the easy route...

Needs research. - Herejia
Country: Frutillar (Los Lagos Region), Chile
Genre: Black/Speed Metal?

Another old submission. Was submitted with the demo "Voces del fuego nocturno" whose artwork suggests a limitation to 66 copies, but the notes state that there were only 2 promo copies of this and it was never officially released?
Quote of the note:
Spoiler: show

Translation (google):
Spoiler: show
recorded and mixed in home studio, in frutillar, between April and August 2012, from which 2 promotional copies were sent to send to the studio, missing the original master, so it could never be edited officially. the project is waiting to re-record the tracks and edit it on tape

The artwork also had "Brutal Sacrifice Zine and Prods" written on it, so I tried my luck searching for this and turns out, their Facebook page mentiones the band a few times. Sadly the page is completely dead for ~3 years.
Post No. 1, mentioning location and genre, also stating that they released a biography of the band in that issue.
Post No. 2, seems like they were featured in that issue of the zine.
Post No. 3, stating that the zine/label is going to release(?) a compilation tape limited to 66 copes called "La septima luna negra" (BS007).

Label page on MA -> https://www.metal-archives.com/labels/B ... fice/35269

Tracklist of the unreleased(?) demo "Voces del fuego nocturno":
Spoiler: show
1. intro
2. fuego a la iglesia
3. tormento eterno
4. black speed metal
5. bestia del sur
6. guerra
7. outro

Needs proof for the compilation tape/demo and samples.

Needs research. - Co-Factor (United States, Groove Metal)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbmEdK4IyQw
https://www.discogs.com/Co-Factor-Sampl ... e/13086654

Rejected because of the ambiguous release. It looks like a promo-only sampler, tbh.

Added. - Curt and the Contras
Spoiler: show
Genre: Crossover/Thrash/Hardcore
Location: Omsk (Siberia), Russia
Known Member: Andrey "Curt" Vasin

Another rejected submission, this time deleted by the submitter. It was rejected because it felt scetchy.
There's this discogs entry with an album supposedly released in 1991:
https://www.discogs.com/artist/1639812- ... he-Contras
and this download blog:
http://r-a-b-m.blogspot.com/2009/12/cur ... -1991.html

Both using an artwork that doesn't look like it was made for a cassette, so probably added later? Just like those 3 bonus songs from 1992.

One song on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUE7EyUc58Q
There's a comment that says:
Quote:
Firstly, this is not Curt & The Contras, but simply Curt. The addition of "And the Contras" to the title of the project he did after he scored the staff at 91st, and this demo was signed simply as Curt, since he wrote it alone at home.
Secondly, this picture is out of place here in general. If Kurt is among the heaps of people, this does not mean that this photo can be attached to his songs. In the photo, mostly Novosibirsk metallers and some Omsk, including Curt

and this blog states that the band was featured in a zine in 1992 + pdf with the interview from that exact zine: http://diy-zine.com/texts/kurt-curt-the ... mozhet-byt

According to Krister Jensen
Quote:
He's an ex member of the famous garage/punk band Grazhdanskaya Oborona. No idea if the album was actually released back then, but if it was I think it was reel-to-reel tape, not a cassette. Though they usually had no cover art.

Maybe someone could translate that interview.
Needs actual proof that this release happened at some point in an official way.

Regarding Jéz: I found some links, which at least prove, that the Youtube bio is largely correct and that the band was active under the name Jéz Qold since 2010 for several years. Unfortunately all the info is in Japanese, so it would need someone, who can read the language, to get more possible info from it: http://98.xmbs.jp/Jozqold/?guid=on
http://sonic-project.com/mitoi/link_zimoto_hijklm.htm
So the band was active under the name JΦZ Qold from 2010 to 2013 The band name should be also corrected to JΦZ instead of Jéz, because it is the correct transcription and I was only using the incorrect one in my original submission, because I had some problems with copying and pasting the epsilon letter.

Added. - Exodus II
Spoiler: show
Genre : Heavy Metal
Location: Most probably USA

There are two tracks of this band uploaded on Youtube, "Still The Master" and "Top Rock" , which aremarked as coming from a "christian metal demoo". Unfortunately the uploader does not list any details about the dmeo, even if it is most probably a demo cassette. so, the proof of physical release and more info about the demo is needed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wor4jMPFlcw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mMAXCJw_Vs

That link gives me an error message, but the "main page" confirms that this band existed.

Thanks, that at least confirms, that the bio at Youtube is largely correct.
When you have some time, could you please look at the Japanese page about the band Glace, that I have posted? ThTThere is certainly info about their releases in the last third of the article, but unfortunately due to my current handicap, I cannot get that part translated by an online translator properly
Edit: I was able to translate a short part of the article in the middle , saying that the band has released a demo tape, but I still cannot get any oother info or a gbigger part of the article translated. That part confirms , what is writtenin the Youtube bio and the article could possibly serve as a proof of physical release? Here is the machine translation: https://www.babelfish.de/dict?query=%E3 ... uto&dst=de.

And another one of these old rejections:
Hard Rock. - Rude
Spoiler: show
Genre: Heavy Metal?
Location: Genoa, Ligury, Italy
Members: Demi, Dido Caradonna, Mauro Stradella, Marco Maceroni (this one?)

It's not the Rude from Italy we already have listed, but this band was active during the 80s, too.
They recorded and (apparently) released a vinyl called "Legs and Flags" around 1989/1990 with 4 original tracks and 2 The Rods covers.
According to Discogs there were 200 copies made, but there's also a comment claiming that it was a private release?
One copy on Ebay: https://www.ebay.de/itm/RUDE-Legs-And-F ... 2010837709
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/Rude-Legs-And-F ... se/3161184

They reunited in 2010 under the name Rude³ as a Motörhead tribute band or something, but the facebook page is dead/inactive since 2012.
https://www.facebook.com/RUDE-3-208638119146899/

I don't really want to spend 20€ on a copy just now, so if someone finds some samples of the release (other than their live covers that are still on youtube), I'd really appreciate it.

The private comment is probably just referring to it not being on a label.
