Lillie was an excellent comeback but i guess its been so long its another comeback esp because Scott is back as well and there is a new bassist.

Been a few years since I listened to them, but Hallow's Victim was always my favorite album and Reagers the better singer for my taste - this ought to be good.

I'm a big fan of Saint Vitus albums from the 80s. I'm waiting for this new album. They will be on tour in Europe from April to May.

Agree with Emp, Hallow's Victim rules. Lllie was pretty good but kind of generic and a bit too clean for SV's simple style. Hoping for more fuzz, messier/dirtier production and some of that wild, coked out energy of HV or at the very least something akin to Die Healing.

Not weird. Their first self-titled album came out in 1984. Who cares.

New song called "Bloodshed" just premiered. Sounds like they'll really be going for the Hallow's Victim vibe on this one.

This kicks major fucking ass. Lillie was cool but kinda generic sounding, this shit's got my blood pumping!

edit: based on my previous comment, this is literally everything I was hoping for. I mean, who knows what the rest is gonna be like but... Yeah. I'm fucking pumped!!

What's up with Wino, though? I know he's been kinda have a rough go lately with the addiction issues and stuff. The last Obsessed album was great, so I hope his absence here isn't hinting at his life spiraling.

Wino seems to be focusing on The Obsessed more than anything else at the moment. He's currently touring with them along with EyeHateGod and ANTiSEEN.

It's kind of a win-win for everyone. It gets Reagers back into the metal scene and Wino carries on with what really is the best vehicle for his talents (the man is such a monstrously good guitar player). And more new music for us all. I get to see both bands live within a few months of each other, too!

The Obsessed have a lot of material for a new album and, to be honest, I think it's easier for Wino and Dave to write apart rather than working on material in the style of late 80s Vitus.

Might well pick this up although without their original bassist (he quit from health issues or something I think?) this won't quite be 'full Vitus' in my mind.

Not to mention their classic drummer Armando Acosta died in 2010. Not having the original rhythm section stings but Saint Vitus has always been Dave Chandler's band at its core.

Sorry but that's just terrible. It's like they were doing a "Jeff Hanneman Home Demo" for Undisputed Attitude.

There's a somewhat poorly publicized GoFundMe for Mark's medical treatment for Parkinson's disease: https://www.gofundme.com/mark-adams-par ... 9s-disease

Haven't had a chance to listen to the new song yet as YouTube is blocked here at my workplace.

Indeed, with one of the two classic singers and Dave, it's true Vitus imo. Of course Armando and Mark can be missed while the band still being "real" or "true" Vitus, right? The sound seems spot on, in my opinion (pending the other songs I haven't heard, blah blah).

Heard Useless live. Last song they played after a great set of slow/heavy/slow/heavy. It made perfect sense at the time. I can understand if it's shit out of context. Maybe it is.

New songs sound pretty good. Not blowing me away yet but I'm sure the whole album will be killer. It seems like they're really cognizant of the elements of their sound and were just jamming out in a way that was true to them, and I can respect that.

My favorite albums from Saint Vitus are those with Wino on vocals but Reagers is also great.
I will probably buy this new album.

I'm honestly not sure if I'm really feeling this on first listen. The playing is on point and Reagers has held up well enough, but the songwriting seems rather scatterbrained. I'll be giving this more listens but it's sitting around a C.O.D. level for me.

Received the LP today. Can already tell that I prefer it to their last album, and COD. Really dig the more punked up moments on here. It's no Die Healing, but it's a very strong album. Should be getting plenty of play time from me in the future. Goddamn do I love Chandler's soloing, it's fucking ugly and strung out.

I was on a long drive today and I blasted it once. It was very cloudy and rainy on the road, so it fit the mood perfectly and because of that, it enhanced the experience. It made the first listen very memorable and the album KICKS ASS.

I've always preferred Reagers to Wino (mainly because Reagers is more of a traditional "metal" vocalist), so already I dig the album.

listened. it's surprisingly good. nothing "new", but sounds "fresh"... reagers sounds great. the reports that chandler's solos are off the wall are true. then the last 3 songs are one noise song, one dirge (my fave on the album) and a punk/thrash song. didn't see any of that coming...

this album kicks ass. Much better than Lillie. The production is perfect, the riffs are fun, reagers sounds great, rhythm section grooves hard and chandlers lead playing rocks. The only song that kinda sucks is that ambient one.

This is fucking awesome. "Remains" and "Wormhole" stand out so far. I love how they just fucking wreck their guitars - perfect noisy cacophony and a great mix of metal with that no-fucks-given punk attitude they had sometimes. Reagers is inimitable and the production is killer.

I saw them live in Zürich, Switzerland, on May 2 and it was great. I would say the album is quite good overall.
