Im not looking for anything specific to boats, I want that feeling. That feeling when you're on the waves. Nothing like pirate stuff or anything like that, just songs that have that atmosphere.

This whole album is exactly what I'm looking for.

Fantastic melodeath

Sorry I'm not being specific enough.

It's all in your head if you really sense any kind of sea-related feeling in this song. I don't, at all... There's been a thread some time ago opened by a guy hoping to find "aquatic" metal... Perhaps you'll find a wake to follow...

That heavy metal sea shanty that Bathory wrote on their final album. :-P

As for stuff that sounds kinda like what's in your OP, try Winterhorde's Underwatermoon. That being said, it is more on the emotional side if that's not what you're looking for.

The Gathering - Sand and Mercury

Even though this one isn't about sailing, you simply get the full feeling of sailing, breaking waves and restless sea...

It's a pretty personal feeling, but i too feel the same way with Stormlord's Mare Nostrum: i'll try with those

Bathory's song Blood Fire Death has to be the one that gives me the most this feeling, with its flowing main riff. Valhalla and Shores in Flames give me a similar vibe too

Spite Extreme Wing's Vltra has the track "II" that to my ears sounds exactly like if i was facing the mediterranean sea

Early Amon Amarth also gives me a sailing vibe: songs like The Last with Pagan Blood and Northern Sea Storm in particular

Well I guess all Ahab releases fit perfectly. Doom metal with some death metal within, and all concept albums based on seas, its creatures and everything connected with it

Yeah, Ahab is the most obvious one to me.

The Call of the Wretched Sea is just a funeral doom epic of sailing the high seas.

you could also try Velvet Cacoon's Genevieve. Gives me the feeling of a blizzard or a storm at sea. There was a ton of hype and controversy surrounding this band in the metal community when this album was released. Just another band trying to promote themselves by being very cryptic and full of rumors.

Eintritt is another one that should be very fitting. Blackened funeral doom about being lost at sea essentially.

Tiamat - Atlantis As A Lover

That whole album has this aquatic feeling, but this song particularly.

This song has this feel for me.

Folk metal/rock in general often creates this atmosphere.

If I were a pirate, I'd probably listen to this.
