What are some chords I can use in my black metal project that will sound good?

Also, what are some sad chords that are still heavy sounding? (For DSBM)

Em11-aug7 and Cmaj7add9.

Just pick an instrument, and start figuring things on your own. Why would you want to write music that someone else told you would sound good?

Well there's not a recipe, but try using lots of unmelodic chords, like, try putting lots of power chords at high speed that are inharmonic/melancholic between each other. Power chords will always sound heavy and perfect for black metal, most if you know how to tremolo pick or simply "crush" the strings at a high speed. You can do lots of melodies simply using power chords like. (follow the next notes)
3---6---1---0
5---8---3---2

Or you can use more chords, simply but obscures.
5---3---0
7---5---2
8---7---3
---------1

You can play with disharmonic chords and rhythms or you can just go like Ancient Rites or Rotting Christ and do simply power chords but catchy.

Even can use folks chords but absurdly distorted and played doing lots of tremolos or what you prefer, the black metal essence is in the darkness you put into into, if you want just use one string and proceed to make another note really murky and so it goes on. Hope I had help you little...
