You need three other mods to tell you this doesn't sound metal enough? Look, I'm pretty forgiving on -core stuff - I was one of the yeses for the Signal the Firing Squad EP you brought up - and I don't think this makes the cut. Like many borderline cases in this genre, there are metal riffs, but the music seems built around metalcore choruses and chord-based hard rock riffs. Any other mod will tell you the same thing. Please accept a decision when it's given to you - we have a good sense of when more opinions might be helpful in evaluating a certain band, and this isn't one of those cases.

I listened to the album again and having read your second response to me, you're totally right, this metalcore is not predominantly metal and it still sounds very core and chuggy too on almost every track. Intelligently, I'll wait for them to release another album and I'll listen better before asking them to put them on the whitelisted, I hope my first answer, because it is the second, has not been misinterpreted in the form of bad vibes or force things.

So, in short, I accept your meticulous decision.

I actually remember when MMI were on the archives way back in the day. Like 2009 I remember seeing them on here

Best regards, I hope this has not been a bother, does these releases sounds good for a re-evaluation and whitelisted?

Postdata: I just put the debut album, in case the ep isn't enough.

It's possible that they evaluated that EP already. I've heard the mods say that before they removed a bunch of core bands in 2009 that they went through all of each core bands' material.

Sounded okay but tapered off at the exact middle song, so 3 out of 5 songs not metal. Sorry.

Sorry to revive this thread but I was curious, which record of theirs initially got them blacklisted? Their first album? I tried searching and I didn't find anything on the old threads.

No idea. No blacklist note, hence blacklisted before 2012

Okay, so I'm gonna assume it was based on the first album, because it was definitely more core than metal. However, I found that their second album, Monument, is significantly more metal than their first album. I believe it expands on the metal from the first album and thus, to me, it's more metal than core. Sure, there's still core moments, but there is also quite a bit more metal on this album, imo. I think it should be reevaluated based on this album (it was released in 2010 after the "core purge" and I didn't find anything in the search about it so I assume it wasn't reviewed).

So what's the verdict? It was pushed to the second page and it had the red mark removed.

Worth a closer look in the queue. Whitelisted.
