Looking for triumphant/prideful sounding black metal. Something to pump me up in the mornings. Preferably whole albums but I’ll take individual songs too.

I'm gonna go with Spite Extreme Wing's Vltra on this one. Melodic, upbeat and full of vigor.

Emperor's Anthems is pretty triumphant but I'm sure that is something you're already familiar with. Enslaved's Ysa is probably also triumphant.

Dekadent's Venera: Trial and Tribulation comes to mind. Dekadent usually goes for this "triumphant" kind of sound, has a lot of songs in major keys.

Helheim - Jormundgand - Bashee screams, thundering drums, hyperfast Nordic riffs - hard to beat for getting fired up in the morning.

Whole album should be somewhere on YT as a playlist and I'm sure it's on Spotify & co.

Seconding this forgotten monster of an album, Kosmokrator is also close in quality

Always happy to introduce this band to more folks. I seldom ever hear them mentioned when it comes to killer black metal, triumphant or otherwise.

Great recommendation, such an excellent band! Like Devin Townsend started a black metal project.

Much of the recent Rotting Christ albums are triumphant, specifically Sanctus Diavolos, Theogonia, Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού, Rituals.

Also By the Blessing of Satan by Behexen.

Havukruunu's Kelle Surut Soi always sounded triumphant to me. And it's an excellent album, so give that one a spin or two.

Watain - Waters of Ain
Helheim - Blod & Ild, for example this track - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNK_Sruc-ec
Enslaved - Blodhemn
Samael - Hegemony
I also agree with Emperor & early Hades

Ahnengrab (particularly their sophomore, Omen) is upbeat-y pagan black metal that just lifts me up. At times it's like they took the energy and style of a power metal band and channeled it into black metal.

Latter-era Melechesh should fit this bill, as well. Super triumphant/colossal sounding songs.

Macabre Omen. Both albums are triumphant and majestic pagan black metal.

Check Astrofaes:

I think that their album Idea. Form. Essence... fits perfectly into what you are looking for.

I think I know how you feel, too often BM is a bit depressing, and you're in the mood for something uplifting and powerful... Which I usually am... check these out (melodic black):

Not straight black metal really but it has some touches of it for sure but Fester- Victory!!! Is real triumphant sounding. A lot of tracks from Fin- The Furrows of Tradition definitely fits the bill too. Megiddo- The Oath is another that gives me that vibe. Possibly my favorite black metal song

It's too late to merge this with the Black Metal Help Thread, because the posts would get lost there. But nevertheless, let's continue the discussion about triumphant/prideful black metal there: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=66086
