Coroner - Sudden Fall

I'm not that often in the mood for this album, but when I am just a few things sound as good. Thrash perfection right here.

Necrofrost - Wonders That on My Rotten Cabin Pounders

Quite good BM from Germany!
Almost a little folky feeling to it.

Chapel of Disease -Oblivious / Obnoxious / Defiant

Fine example of metal going places you don't expect it to go. The whole album is a fine listen.

Portrait - Hell

Like a mix of Motörhead and King Diamond/MF.
Really cool!

Iron Maiden - Caught Somewhere in Time

This is so good, ''Somewhere in Time'' have become one of my favorite maiden albums...!

Gaupa - Febersavan

Some pretty *decent* stoner/doom right here, I got a very Om vibe which really tickles my fancy.

Venom - Cursed

I ignored the non-Cronos venom album my entire heavy metal career. I listened to Temples of Ice for the first time about 5-6 weeks ago, and it's pretty good. Checking out The Waste Lands now.

Ad Infinitum - Demons

More well-done symphonic/power metal in the style of Kamelot? Sign me the fuck up. I'm a sucker for this stuff.

I stumbled across this band on YouTube and recently purchased this album, great stuff.

NP: Leviathan - Massive Conspiracy Against All Life

This is still one of my favorite Leviathan albums, which reminds me that I need to check out that new Lurker of Chalice.

Witchery - Dead, Hot and Ready (Remastered)

I've always been a fan of these guys since the beginning. Huge band in 1998. In magazine everywhere. Strong riffs in the vein of Mercyful Fate and Slayer. It's a shame they are not bigger or more well known.

Pungent Stench - Sick Bizarre Defaced Creation

I just love PS' death metal style. They tend to be a bit experimental with their groovy and rock-n-roll-ish style. Every song, the band adds something and this song is no exception. It's brutal in its own creative way.

Teitanblood - Sunken Stars

Malevolent as fuck blackened death metal. Wish these guys did live shows (not that anyone would be able to see them live right now anyway)

Dark Tranquillity - Projector

Again a question to the guys who might know: What other album to buy from them? This stuff is so therapeutic.

The Crown - Kill 'em All

It's almost certain I'm in the minority when it comes to this great band; Possessed 13 smokes from start to finish, and really establishes what I think of their super-cool swagger. Their latest album sounds to me as if modeled on this one, and of course it's a return to form and just loads of death-thrashin' fun.

It's been a while since I listened to Projector, but I think your safest bets are Haven and especially Damage Done (their best IMO). Their later albums are also good and somewhat reminiscent of Projector, at least in certain aspects.

Just got the 3 first albums, the vinyl re-releases.
I listened to this band a lot when I was younger.
Love the artwork aswell on that album.

Cheers!

Vinterriket - Durch die Weiten der Landschaft

Great atmosphere, perfect after roaming the woods and hills.
Been forever since I played this band.

Epica - The Second Stone

Definitely on the heavier end of the symphonic prog/power spectrum. I really dig the energy on "The Quantum Enigma".

Rolling Stones - Exile on Main St

This is such a fabulous piece of work. Rich and epic and soulful. I remember it took me a while to wrap my head around this because of the huge amount of songs, but it flows so damn well and the band sounds super confident.

King Diamond "Abigail"

Oh boy! What a great album it is. My absolute favorite KD album and one of my top 10 albums ever. This is how to play really good metal. Wait, i still don't believe that some deaf guy with no taste gave that album 19% score. Pathetic.

Body Count - Bum-Rush

I fuckin' love Body Count, I have for a long time. I think their newest album really hits the mark, and I love the fact that while Ice-T is in his early '60s, he's definitely not slowing down.

Styx - Come Sail Away: the Styx Anthology (yup, I love it!)
Damn the Machine - S/T (it's OK).
Alice In Chains - Black Gives Way to Blue (Still sounds like AIC, even with the new singer. Probably about half good, half filler, to me).
War - We Are War (RRRG WE'RE ANGRY! I like the SODOM cover and part of the original material).
Styx - Pieces of Eight

Mefitis - Emberdawn

I'm surprised that more people aren't talking about this album. Black/Death with a tasteful ear for melody and incredibly creative riff construction.

Testament - Curse of Osiris

I'm so-so with the new album, but this song is a monster. Everything works.

Slaughter Lord - Slaughtered Corpse

Some pretty great and insane old school Thrash... this is as intense as the stuff from Dark Angel or Morbid Saint. Great Album!!!

While Heaven Wept - The Furthest Shore

This is such a massive album for how short it is. I love the heavy, agile guitars - it's doomy and sad in its melodicism but the riffs don't sound like the usual slow, Sabbath/Candlemass type of stuff. With the forceful, clear vocals, it creates a very unique kind of tone and style.

The fact that that song never exploded in popularity and made the power/doom metal subgenre take off like a rocket is a fuckin' crime, if you ask me. Every second of it is glorious.

There should be more of it... some of the darker, heavier PM I like is sort of in that direction, but not near as delicate and sorrowful in the melodies as this is. Tom just has such a unique way of writing and playing that it'd be hard to replicate though.

Holy shit, this album is so much better than Brotherhood of the Snake.

Demoniac - Demons of the Night

Is this the band a couple of members of Dragonforce were in before the aforementioned band started? Yes. Is this kind of sucky? Yes. Does it have that much of a 'epic anthem' vibe that you can't help but headbang and smile like an idiot as it plays? Oh god yes. I love it without a shred of irony.

I am glad he took the time off to recover from burnout for this. "The Mansion" is tremendous.

Watching 'Atlanta' right now. This show is a shitload of fun and very strange.
