Has anyone checked out, or gotten into Twin Temple? They call their style of music "Satanic Doo Wop." They have a woman on vocals and a guy on guitar. I believe they have a full band for live shows. Reminds me very much of bands like The Diamonds, Danny and the Juniors or The Crests. Has the vibe that is was recorded live in the stuido. Heavy reverb on the guitar and mic. Very in the vein of classic doo wop/rock from the 1950's. I just started listening to them within the past year.

They're one of my wife's favorite bands. We're going to see them in Boston with Uncle Acid in May. I dig them. Very retro and throwbacky, but still unique in the scheme of today's music.

Super cool band! I saw them live once by chance and was really impressed. Didn't realize they were about to tour again, so thanks for the heads up on that!

Also, great suggestion for the people on this board... If anyone has recs of other projects like this, I would love to check out more. Twin Temple is excellent.

My fiancé and I just found out about this band last week due to the upcoming tour with Uncle Acid. She fell in love instantly and I admit that they are really catchy and fun.

This is a nice coincidence because I searched the forum the other day to see if anyone else knew about them and didn’t see anything. We’ll see how they sound live in May...

I've only listened to their album a couple times but I'm into them. Great band to recommend to girlfriends and I imagine they're a lot of fun live.

They are doing two shows here in New Jersey in May. I am SO hoping to see one of those shows. From what I have seen, they have an amazing live show.

I found out about these guys a year ago when I saw an article about them on Loudwire. In the video, they "sacrifice" Graham (one of the journalists) to the devil onstage. They seem like they would be really fun to catch live!

Yeah, I think it's exactly that without seeing them live.

Would you compare their sound to the Cramps?

It's good music, I grew up listening to doo-wop growing up and I always wondered what it would sound like with darker lyrical themes. I can see how it can be gimmicky as it's really pushing the doo-wop sound versus just hearing it as an influence in their sound but I am cool with it.
