Hello, I wanted to make a case that Sonata Arctica just being listed as power metal should be changed. The early material is totally power metal, however a lot of the newer stuff has very different sound. I think it would be much more fitting if it were to switch to something like "power metal (early), melodic/progressive metal/rock (now)" for example. There are many fans of the early material who feel similarly about the band in its current state. Also in a 2019 interview with Tony Kakko, he claimed that "the music style has changed from the early days because that was just a phase that we happen to land our recording contract with"

I would suggest listening to all of Ecliptica and Silence, then listen to Stones grow her name, the ninth hour and Talviyo and you can hear the difference.
