Punk-based. - Shishimaru (猿臂) (aka 獅風丸)
Spoiler: show
Country: Japan
Genre: Heavy Metal/Oi!

Another SSS band that is said to be a heavy metal/oi! hybrid. The band has two albums apparently, but I couldn't find a single song for either online. I'll link the albums below:

Not Metal. - Empi (猿臂)
Spoiler: show
Country: Japan
Genre: Heavy Metal/Oi!

Once again another one of these SSS bands. Apparently their EP entitled "風と土" is said to be heavy metal/oi!, but like a lot of these bands, there isn't really any way I could find to stream the album. I was able to track one song down. The band also did a split with a band called Billy Boy E La Sua Banda, but the material on the split just sounded like punk to me with little to no metal present.

The song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yk1VAb ... =emb_title

The EP: https://www.discogs.com/%E7%8C%BF%E8%87 ... se/2289346

Seems like there was a biography of the band posted somewhere on facebook (link is dead now) and the original submitter was asked to bring the band up in here (which he never did), so here I am.

Biography:
"Band from São Paulo formed at the beginning of 87 by Walmir (drummer) and Mário (guitars and vocals), and soon recruited Gordo for the bass. With this lineup the band didn't perform and six months later Gordo left the band, which undergoes radical changes with the entrance of Milton to the guitars, and Mário, despite continuing with vocals, takes over the bass.
One of the biggest problems faced by the band was sound equipment, although they rehearsed a lot.
The band's lyrics talk about the controversial ideology of the church and the problems of society (hunger, violence, etc.).
The main influences of the band are: Celtic Frost, Bathory, Death, Mutilator, Dorsal Atlântica, Genocídio.
The band has already recorded a good quality demo rehearsal* and get ready to record another demo (now in studio)."

Hello PaganiusI,

First of all, thank you for bringing Destroussus here. Only now that I saw your quote.
Well, I could name a number of things that made me give up on bringing bands that I tried to submit to these kinds of topics, but I just say that I may have expressed myself badly (please excuse my poor English) and maybe for that reason you asked about more information besides the release, and also for not knowing and having obtained more information about the band so far, except the release that I had posted here.
I don't know if that can help, but recently I was talking to some people here about the difficulties that Brazilian bands were going through in the 80's, and how difficult it was for you to have more professional material (so to speak), with covers and everything more (this was more common when the band got support from a label or some store for distribution), and for that reason many bands sent releases to fanzines in order to promote the band (even why, sending releases would be cheaper than send tapes), and many of these demos were distributed on dubbed tapes by the band itself through these contacts through the bands-releases, which makes it difficult to know the exact number of demos that were distributed. In fact, I was thinking about creating a topic about it, more detailed, with some very similar cases, and trying to bring a different panorama about the importance of releases and fanzines to demonstrate the veracity of a certain band (more than many think) , but I confess that I really got discouraged from bringing him here, in the face of a lot. But, returning to Destrossus ... This release was made by the band itself, with the type logo (unfortunately there were no photos of the band), and it had a lot of information (like the translation I did and you posted here), but unfortunately it is everything I got at the moment. And for this reason I believe that the band isn't fake and also not the same as Destroçus, because besides they are from different places and have slightly different proposals, I have seen the demo "Endless Misery" listed in some lists of tape traders years ago.
I apologize for going out of focus a little bit (as it somehow has to do with the "theme", so to speak) and thanks again for bringing the band here.

The probblem is, that it is not metal imo, but hard rock, exactly as The Corroseum review describes it. But the final judgement is up to you, since Thstealthp has reposted it on Mediafire, so you can download it witout a problem.

I agree with Witcher on this. However, I would still leave tag "needs research" on the band, as they have also released two demos. I asked on RockMemories, but never received an answer.

Added. - Chacina (pre-Mystical Vision?)
Spoiler: show
Country: Brazil
Location: Manaus, Amazonas

Known disocgraphy:

The Blind Man's Buff (demo, cassette, 1990):
A1 Dependence Of Cocaine
A2 Morbid Tales
A3 Monaster Of Falses
A4 To Be One's With?
A5 War Pig's

Line-up:
Artwork – Eduardo Correa
Bass – Marcelo
Drums, Vocals – Kico
Guitar – Alexandre
Guitar (lead) – Junior

Seems to be one of the first bands from Manaus and possibly the very first from that region to release a tape.

https://www.discogs.com/artist/7956962-Chacina-3

Needs music samples.

First of all, I would like to thank you for bringing this band here. For over 10 years I have been looking for more information from this band and I have never found anything.

Well, I "don't have samples coming straight from that tape", but here I propose some information that can help you submit this band as a Thrash Metal band.

The first is this quote:

"As compensation, a new generation of more structured groups emerged, such as thrash Chacina and Hipynose, Jack Daniel's Incorporation, which makes a well-done thrash, and following the trend of current Brazilian metal, the female band of death metal Jank Crude is already winning over local bangers."

Source: https://i.ibb.co/7bbzgnC/Chacina.png (in portuguese)
Rock Brigade Magazine #63, p.54 (September/October 1991)

However, I know that this information alone should not be enough, and for this reason here I bring some more information, but this information can seem confusing...

It seems that both Chacina and Mystical Vision, which are bands from the same region (both from Manaus, in the state of Amazonas) have released demos with the same name, same songs and same members (if in doubt, you can check it on the band's page here). Junior mentioned in the link discogs you posted is Silas Alves - his real name could be Silas Alves Junior, or even some more than has been omitted.

I went to the Mystical Vision page on FB looking (I sent them a private message last year for more information about the band and the Amazonas metal scene, but unfortunately I never got any response) and I found this passage in the band's bio interesting (I only translated it into English the 1987-1992 period that appears in the band's biography):

"Biography:
Formed in the middle of the dark and vast Amazon rainforest at the end of the decade of thrash metal worldwide, in March 1987 Mystical Vision begins its history bringing in its initial formation Marcelo Sanches (Bass / vocals), Kiko (Drums), Silas Alves (Guitar) and Fábio Andrey (ex. Insanity / The Mist - Guitar and Vocal).
With the departure of Fábio Andrey in 1989, Alexandre Rodrigues took over the guitar together with Silas Alves and the band precariously released its first demo tape in 1990 entitled "The Blind Man's Buff".
In 1991 with the departure of Alexandre Rodrigues, the band gained reinforcements with Fred Magno (Guitar) and Eduardo Correa taking over the vocals and stabilizing their formation, that's when in 1992 the band released their first official demo entitled "Take It Easy"."

Source: https://www.facebook.com/pg/mysticalvis ... e_internal

It's very likely that Chacina is the pre-Mystical Vision band, and they changed the band's name (even why, several Brazilian bands got their name) after releasing the demo "The Blind Man's Buff". What makes me think this is this passage that I highlighted in the Mystical Vision biography:

"In 1991 with the departure of Alexandre Rodrigues, the band gained reinforcements with Fred Magno (Guitar) and Eduardo Correa taking over the vocals and stabilizing their formation, that's when in 1992 the band released their first official demo entitled "Take It Easy". "

They probably changed the name of the band in 1991 with the entry of new members, but they see this whole pre-1991 phase as the same band for not having changed the sound proposal or something like that. I can't tell if they re-released this demo under the Mystical Vision (I only saw the demo "Take It Easy" on tradelists related to this name).

And finally... The discogs link you posted, the demo is described as from 1990, but in the last image, the one with the tape, the name Chacina and the year 1991 appear. Perhaps the demo was recorded in 1990 , but released in early 1991 (before some members left the band). And this information is in line with the only song I found "from this demo" (and that proves that this is a Thrash Metal band):

https://www.reverbnation.com/mysticalvi ... rtistMusic

I'm sorry for writing so much. I tried to summarize this in the best possible way, given the information you posted.

And just out of curiosity... This isn't the first tape released by a band from Manaus (like the discogs' link you posted says). Most likely, the first was the Anestesia's "Total Massacre" demo from 1988.

Needs research. - Angelique
Genre: Heavy Metal/Hard Rock?
Country: Germany?

https://www.musik-sammler.de/artist/angelique-4/

Samples needed.

(Spooky) - information seems to be really scarce, but I hadn't previously tried to find out if there's any way that the members could be contacted or if they had been involved in other bands. Musiksammler scans provided member info:
- (self-titled demo line-up) - Stefan Lehmann (vocals), Uwe Wolfrum (guitars, vocals), Dieter Ponath (bass, vocals), Roland Lodes (drums).
- (1995 line-up) - Stefan Lehmann, Uwe Wolfrum, Dieter Ponath, Rainer Drey ( https://www.facebook.com/rainer.drey?co ... NzY0Nzg%3D ) - have sent a message.

No members found on the site (there are a couple listings for Stefan Lehmann, but I doubt it is the same artist).

Alternate spelling: ATD
Lyrical themes: ?
Year of formation: 2008
Years active: 2008-?
Label: Independent

An interesting deathcore band from the sovereign country of kangaroos, which I found on YouTube. Well, all I need is physical or digital proofs regarding their "self-titled" EP from 2008. Since on their own Myspace they announced another EP on August 9th, 2009, which never came out since in October they were still writing it. Then, I made the decision to want to post them here.

Last known lineup:
Brodie - Vocals (2008-?)
Julian - Guitars (2008-?)
Matt - Guitars (2008-?)
Mikal - Bass (2008-?)
Luke - Drums (2008-?)

Past members:

Seems to be one of the first bands from Manaus and possibly the very first from that region to release a tape.

Genre: Heavy Metal(/Hard Rock)?
Country: Germany (Siegen, North Rhine-Westphalia)

Demo (1984, tape)
1. HM Noise

An earlier version of https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Breaker/2486 The release checks out, but we need samples from that demo specifically. The review mentioning the demo for sale is unfortunately not very specific when it comes to the music ("[part of] the German HM scene [..] the[ir] music is hard, fast, straightforward and without compromise"). Probably fine, but even so.

I think I already found the Beast you wanted, check and analyze these characteristics:
1 - This Beast is from Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg.
2 - They only released a single divided into Side A & Side B (according to what it seems, of course).
3 - The band fits perfectly into your doubt about whether it can be metal or not.
4 - A totally different lineup.
5 - This release it has never been listed here:

Seems to be one of the first bands from Manaus and possibly the very first from that region to release a tape.

https://www.discogs.com/artist/7956962-Chacina-3

Needs music samples.

Spoiler: show
First of all, I would like to thank you for bringing this band here.

Thanks for all the information! I'll go through it and refine my research based on what you provided.

EDIT: Bull's eye, dude! I have found this interview with Mystical Vision in which they do mention their early days as Chacina, their lineup back then, the Blind Man's Buff demo and so on (00:00 - 03:03 aprox.).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2dmzxngLNU

I do believe it's enough information to get them accepted as the first incarnation of Mystical Vision. Thanks for all the info, very helpful!

Needs research. - Prince of Wales
Genre: Heavy Metal(/Hard Rock)?
Country: Japan

Discography:
"Screaming of our Souls" demo tape (1989)
Cover here: https://i.imgur.com/10usmep.jpg
Side A
1. Hard Trap
2. Sky Will be My Grave
Side B
3. Toward the Top
4. Everybody Shouts

Compilation Appearances:
- "Soccer Song" on 'Heavy Metal Force V' (Explosion Records, 1988) https://soundcloud.com/user-135892453/s ... sLarz5sP1q
- Unknown song on GIV Vol. 1 (VHS, 1988, Rock Video House GIV)
- "Everybody Shouts" on '特集NOBS GIV Vol.2' (VHS, 1989, Rock Video House GIV)
'Everybody Shouts' from tape: https://dai.ly/x7sz2z9
Demo promo also on tape: https://dai.ly/x7vp2dp
- Unknown song on 'Heavy Metal Force Vol. 1' (VHS, 1989, Explosion Records)

So basically I have:
One unambiguously metal song ('Soccer Song') off the HMF comp which isn't on the demo
One live song ('Everybody Shouts') off GIV vol. 2 which is also on the demo, but fairly borderline
One promo clip (Song unknown) which sounds more rock-oriented

Need either more samples (from one of the other videos, or the demo itself) or a contemporary review of the tape to confirm its unambiguously metal.

EDIT: Never mind, the band seems to be in the queue already.

Historical context: You're about to listen to unreleased single by obscure metal band
estabolished around 1988 in Bratislava by musicians whose previously performed in Ružomberok-based-bands Omikron and Kix. They managed to release one short demo tape and also recorded this single at Opus studios in Bratislava. The band broke-up only in 1989 when Chodelka and Šándor joined legendary Citron. We are glad we were finally able to publish this presumably lost material for evybody to hear, so excuse please reduced sound quality.

The artwork used in the video does also look rather modern to me. So, I'd trust them if they say the single was never released.
On the other hand, they mention the release of a demo tape in 1988, so I'd focus on finding that.
This channel has songs from it, maybe all of the songs:
https://www.youtube.com/user/metlaband/videos
It's the youtube page of this band: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Metla/103549

Lacks proof of VR though.
