I bet Tom, the DRP guest drummer would be one of those people that wouldn't bother responding if given an email about this old project. There are several people on Discogs mentioned as owning the record. When I get more time I was thinking about trying to message a few of them to see if they'd mind sending a song or two from the album.

Monument (Netherlands) can be removed from the list - have been added. Through contacting someone on Facebook about the band, I was linked to a live set that they played on YouTube. They play thrash/crossover with some occasional touches of death metal. Also tried contacting some other people from bands on this thread today - listing them here so that they aren't contacted more than once: John Trytek (Gangland), Ronn Chick (French Kiss), Gillen (Iron Kross), Kenny Lee Ricker (Otovoid), Ernst Hörmannseder (Suicide), Philip van Steenbergen (Unusual), Garry Mielle (Rough Justice).

Hardcore with metal influences. - Brainwash
Spoiler: show
Country: Germany
Genre: Metalcore

Yet another one of these RAC type metalcore bands. I was able to find some of their releases and I didn't think they were metal enough, but there are a couple releases I am still trying to find to see if they were metal. The main release I want to find is their 2016 split with the thrash metal band Bound for Glory entitled "Day of Victory", because the song I was able to track down for it sounded somewhat metallic to me. I was also interested in trying to find their split with the crossover band No Alibi since I can't seem to find it anywhere and it was tagged as metal on discogs. The band is not blacklisted. I'll link all the information I have found below.

The song:

Discogs:

https://www.discogs.com/Bound-For-Glory ... er/1111760
https://www.discogs.com/No-Alibi-2-Brai ... se/2489274

Like with the moshpit band, this site claims to have these available, but it want's you to get an account on their downloading site.

Small tip: Before you post here, you can try to seach for these albums yourself on Uloz to (you can set it to ejngkish as your default language) or rac-forum.org, they now have renewed the links there. The album in Uloz to are often hidden under links with oly the band name or they are listed in related files to the bands other albums. Taht's how I find most links there.

Okay, so I listened to these, they probably aren't acceptable. It was metalcore, but not the kind where there are a lot of metal riffs. There was even some nu sounding stuff going on. This should probably be struck from the list now.

Regarding Rough Justice (uk): Just watching the video link below on YouTube, there is a mention that Southend-on-Sea, England NWOBHM band Redline's vocalist Garry Mielle (ex-The Edge) was in a band (presumably the same one) by this name.

(Feb. 5, 2023: Described by drummer Anders as cheesy, and like a mix of Metallica and White Lion. Thanks for getting that bit of information, mrmetalhead).

Spoiler: show
Location: USA, probably New York or New Jersey
Genre: (likely) Heavy Metal
I don't have any info on this band, besides that they released the 2 demo tapes shown in this picture, which were part of an eBay lot of '80s demos that sold (very quickly, probably with an accepted offer) earlier this year. This band's tapes look interesting to me, but I never heard of them and wasn't able to find anything out about them several months ago through Google search.

Update on The Room of Massacre: I found another video in which the "demo" was uploaded, and a self proclaimed member of the band commented a few times: https://youtu.be/-VQLjvP9-Fo

The user "toto del valle" claims to be a former member of the band, and he replied to someone's comment asking about the release of this "demo" saying (as translated from Spanish using Google translate):

"I think it's from the end of 2009, we never recorded an EP, some good samaritan found the songs and compiled it in this video"

Original comment in Spanish:

"creo que es de finales del 2009, nunca grabamos un EP, algun buen samaritano encontro las rolas y compilo en este video"

So it looks like this really is a random compilation of songs from MySpace. That means this very likely isn't acceptable, unless there's some kind of translation error and the comment says something different, but that's unlikely. The Room of Massacre can be removed from the list.

Also, regarding LegioNex, here is the guy's Mikseri profile. LegioNex isn't on there, nor is it on his YouTube or his Soundcloud (his Soundcloud is linked on the Mikseri page, and the YouTube page is on his Soundcloud). If someone wants to try to contact him, that would be great, especially since I don't speak Finnish, and I'm not sure if he speaks English.

I found a song from the demo on Youtube:

The uploader claims that it's his band too, so it could be worth contacting him for the rest of the songs. He hasn't uploaded in 5 years, however.

There is also someone who owns this on Discogs, so I (or someone else) can ask him to send a rip of the demo.

Thanks Ninten, good find. Looks like that logo was deceiving, as this is basically funk rock with a tiny bit of metal in the mix. We can cross this one off the list as far as I'm concerned. Definitely appreciate you looking into it, though.

Rock/AOR. - Red Bank
Spoiler: show
Location: Italy
Listed genre: Heavy Metal/Hard Rock
Band members: Nicola Coppola (drums), Fabrizio Pallaro (guitars, bass), Roberto Flores (keyboards), Sergio Moschetto (bass, vocals - had a project/band called Moses in the 2000s, has several websites online and contacting him seems like probably the best route to take if an audio clip can't be found)
Discography: "...Fuori di casa" Demo/EP (1991) - Recorded and mixed at Dracma Studio
Discogs link: https://www.discogs.com/Red-Bank-Fuori- ... se/6561781
- If you type in "Sergio Moschetto" "Red Bank" on Google, there are a lot of results, but I have yet to find audio samples. One copy for sale on Discogs, but for more than I want to spend on it.

Thanks. I mean I could try to find the rest of the demo just to make sure the whole thing sounds like that song but I guess it's safe to assume it does? Idk.

The song:

Discogs:
https://www.discogs.com/artist/1931643-Brainwash-11
https://www.discogs.com/Bound-For-Glory ... er/1111760
https://www.discogs.com/No-Alibi-2-Brai ...

Thanks for the tip Witcher! I didn't know about those sites, but they should come in handy if I run into any more of these kinds of bands. Thanks for linking the splits as well. I'll download these tomorrow and check them out to see if they are metal.

Okay, so I listened to these, they probably aren't acceptable. It was metalcore, but not the kind where there are a lot of metal riffs. There was even some nu sounding stuff going on. This should probably be struck from the list now.

Needs research. - The Ninth Gate

Genre: Melodic death metal
Location: Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
Members: Presumably same as Neaera (since Neaera never changed band members at all apart from having one live musician).
Discography: Demo 2004 (unsure if released publicly)

This is the original name of Neaera. Originally the track listing of their demo was unknown, but they re-released the whole demo as part of a limited edition version of the 2020 self titled album.

From what I have gathered from an archived version of Neaera's old site, there were multiple copies of the demo made, but it is unknown whether or not they were distributed publicly or just sent to record labels. I did notice that they mention that they were surprised by the fact that Metal Blade Records signed them, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they didn't send it to Metal Blade. I also noticed that the first song from the demo was played in multiple clubs, but I'm not sure if that means the clubs played the song as in they had a copy of the demo, or if that was just what the band played live in the club.

I don't think sound samples are necessary for now since all the songs, with the exception of the outro, were re-recorded as Neaera, most of them being on their debut album. I do plan on getting a copy of the limited edition of the self titled album though, since it wouldn't hurt to get the original songs. But it isn't super necessary. All I need is evidence to show that the demo was distributed publicly.

Archived 2004 Neaera site that mentions their history as The Ninth Gate and the demo: https://web.archive.org/web/20040619201 ... eaera.com/

Note: I think I may have tried contacting Neaera on Bandcamp, but they haven't replied. Perhaps there's a better way to contact them?
Note: I never found whether or not the demo was released publicly in 2004. The band was added due to the fact that the demo's inclusion on a limited edition of Neaera's 2020 album makes that said release a split.
Note PagI: That compilation is NOT a split as discussed in Discord.

This is some NS metalcore band that I stumbled across randomly. I noticed that they weren't blacklisted so I was trying to find their albums to see if they were metal. I was able to find their first and third album and they had some melodic death metal riffs scattered throughout, but I remember thinking they wouldn't make the cut. However, I am still trying to find their second album entitled "We Carry the Heart" because some of the songs I stumbled across sounded like they had potential. I'll link those below.

This site claims to have it, but it want's me to pay for an account to download it, which I refuse to do.

They also have this split that I haven't checked, but I'm having the same issue with the site:

Thanks Witcher! I haven't heard it yet, but I believe you. I listened to their first album and it wasn't very metal. Mostly hardcore. I went ahead and submitted the band based on the album ThStealthP linked. I think that is probably their best shot at getting on here.

The band has been added now so this can be removed from the list.

Added. - Angel Dust
Spoiler: show
Location: Sonthofen, Germany
Genre: Heavy Metal(?)
Line-up: Hannes Vachenauer (vocals, guitar), M. Mehlmann (guitar, bass), Michael Suusa (bass, drums)
Discography: Unknown

No relation to the other Angel Dust from Dortmund.

The band was featured on the 5 band split titled Rock Für Afrika (Astoria Records, 1985) with a song titled "Twilight Land". According to The Corroseum, the band sounds like a cross between Judas Priest and Angel Witch. Having not heard the song, I can only go by this description until someone finds the song from the split.

That compilation was actually a famine relief fund-raising campaign. There were quite a few like these in Germany around that time, most of em inspired by the British project Band Aid I guess. "Band für Afrika" for example. Looking at the info the Corroseum, those are all local bands from Sonthofen, Bavaria. So this is a German band.
