Needs research. - Tidal Wave
Location: Oise, Hauts-De-France, France (not to be confused with the Montigny-lès-Cormeilles, Île-de-France band on the site that formed in '93)
Genre: Heavy Metal (with some speed metal influences)
Band members: Djeep (vocals), Steev (bass), Ricky (guitars), Jimi (guitars), Disco (drums)
Notes: This band is featured in Initium 'zine #1 (1988) with a logo and (low quality) band photo. They formed in 1985. It is mentioned that they were planning to record a demo in September '88, but I wasn't able to find any followup to that statement through a few Google searches. If they have a release out, based on the article they are definitely a heavy metal band.

Thanks, Witcher. I updated the information from that link with the full track listing and band members - none of which are in the database currently. Discogs has one copy for sale in the Netherlands (unavailable in US).

Great, I sent that user a message to let them know that they can add the band with this information if they qualify as metal.

- Jasper92 said that they're definitely Death Metal, and a good band from what he remembered. He offered to upload it to YouTube. I told him to go ahead with the submission whenever he has a YouTube link to their music.

Regarding D.R.P. : I found a wedding party band called Harris Lane Band from New York area with the vocalist Harris lane. Different genre for sure, but it still could be the former D.R.P. member:

Thanks - I sent a message to that page about 2nd Subway. I was trying to follow up a little bit on the band DRP recently, and someone who was selling the record told me that they aren't very good. I'm interested to hear them anyway, if for nothing else to see if they'd qualify as a band that should be added to the site. There's a good chance I'll be getting that EP digitally in the next few weeks with a new promising lead.

- Also, Jasper92 uploaded the Baäl-Peor demo to YouTube and they're definitely metal and really good! They're reserved for him to add for the next week.

Another SSS band that is said to be a heavy metal/oi! hybrid. The band has two albums apparently, but I couldn't find a single song for either online. I'll link the albums below:

Hi again,

I'm going to resurrect the search on this band because back when I initially posted this there was another album by them that I was unable to find. I found a website that has it for download, but it wants you to get an account to download it. The band's debut was found to be not predominately metal. The album that I am searching for is entitled Born.

Here it is:

Regarding Boanerges, their cassette "Battle Mind" is on eBay right now for $34.95 USD (starting bid - and they look to be accepting offers).
https://www.ebay.com/itm/BOANERGES-BATT ... SwkztgIwUB

Here's a description from the auction listing:
"Female-fronted thrash metal is pretty rare in music in general, even more so back in the 80s. In the Christian realm you had a few examples like The Lead and Ordained Fate, but The Lead was more punk/crossover thrash, while Ordained Fate was power/gothic thrash. This is more straight up thrash, even with some speed metal influences. Also some crossover attitude to the delivery, more from the thrash side than the punk side."

Band members: Takayoshi Ito (Bass), Hirotake Hayashi (Battery), Shingo Kayukawa (Guitars), Hiroto Usui (Guitars), Kim Sonhaku (Vocals)
Past members: Kazushige Fujii (Bass), Daijyou Watanabe Guitars (lead)

Discography:
- "Promo Demo" (2013, CD-R)
Track listing unknown
See here: https://twitter.com/harumagedon/status/ ... 76416?s=20
and here: https://blog.goo.ne.jp/necroassassinnn/ ... 3f4618cf4c

- "3(Three)" & "Pray" on "The Storm of Damnation Vol. 2" (Slumber Records, 2013) (https://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Sto ... e/13599704)

There are two songs up on their Soundcloud here: https://soundcloud.com/versaak These may also be on the demo, but I have no evidence for such.

Need: Either confirmation that the promo demo has full tracks on and is not just a sampler (or proof of some other release, if there is one). I guess the demo would acceptable evidence if full tracks are included: it was given away free in music stores to promote the band (please advise).

Regarding InShadow (New York, US), they played a reunion show in 2019 for the 50th birthday of Fred Gonzalez, who I think was their drummer. He may have also played in the bands Double Standard and Shades of Burn. Here is the Facebook event page for it: https://www.facebook.com/events/2649630345071337/ - I sent a message to Coverblind NYC and Fred to see if more info was available.
- Follow up: In addition to the tape on Discogs (which was shortly before Fred joined as the drummer), they have 3 follow-up releases, in this order: "In the Frame of Mind" (1992), "Amyd the Noyze" and "4 into the Evening" (1995/96; got a digital copy but need to hear more of the discography as it has mostly a hard rock sound).

TheBurningOfSodom wrote:
On this artist page: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... dine/15882 we can find a note about a band not present on the site:
Quote:
Axiom released a demo tape in 1994 titled "Feel the Evil." The track listing is: Positive/ Feel the Evil/ Mass Suicide/ Only Sin/ Underworld/ Hellish Torment. Besides Fred on guitar, the other band members that play on the tape are: Kevin Brophy (bass), Scott "Kirby" Lynch (vocals), Jim Shafer (drums).

The actual cassette seems to be on sale on eBay: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/AXIOM-Feel-The- ... 4092301770 and there are pictures of it as well, which confirm what's said above.

The eBay seller classifies it as "thrash/speed" but obviously there's no way of listening to it, and of course there are some missing details like location (the artist comes from the US but there's no trace of the other members), formation year (even if the artist's page lists him as having been in the band since 1992, but I found no confirmation to this).

Tractor Driver have a crossover influence. Not sure if it's more hardcore or metal yet until hearing more. They have 2 songs on another compilation: https://www.discogs.com/Various-U-Snovi ... se/1291888

Here are 2 songs listed as "Demo 1989": https://www.youtube.com/user/FSMS74/sea ... r%20driver

Needs research. - Korrigan - End of Illusion
Either way, Korrigan isn't listed and is a potential addition.

Here's a sample from the demo, sounds good enough to go to the queue:

Needs research. - Quit Bitch'n (heavy metal/hard rock/NWoBHM, United Kingdom)
Basically, check this website. A lot of demos (and other incarnations) are detailed there. The band was submitted not too long ago, but I rejected it asking about demo distribution, and it hasn't been returned since. So I'm posting this here so they won't be forgotten. One of the bands, Widow, is already listed and from what I remember, Quit Bitchn'n qualifies as metal as well (some rock too, though, so it would be advisable to suss out which demos are actually valid). Can't remember the other band right now.

So mrmetalhead was able to contact the guy and verify that there were tapes sold at gigs. That being said, we had another look at the samples and it's really more rock than metal. So can be taken off the list.
