Needs research. - Quit Bitch'n (heavy metal/hard rock/NWoBHM, United Kingdom)
Basically, check this website. A lot of demos (and other incarnations) are detailed there. The band was submitted not too long ago, but I rejected it asking about demo distribution, and it hasn't been returned since. So I'm posting this here so they won't be forgotten. One of the bands, Widow, is already listed and from what I remember, Quit Bitchn'n qualifies as metal as well (some rock too, though, so it would be advisable to suss out which demos are actually valid). Can't remember the other band right now.

So mrmetalhead was able to contact the guy and verify that there were tapes sold at gigs. That being said, we had another look at the samples and it's really more rock than metal. So can be taken off the list.

Regarding Black Talon (US), trying to research the band a little bit and came across information that there was a band from Chicago, Illinois that existed from 1994-2000 under this name, formed by Rick Murawski and Bob Bielarz (R.I.P.). In 2000 the name changed to No One, which was a nu metal band. The tape found on Discogs is from '94. Not sure if it's this same Black Talon, but it's possible that in the mid '90s they were playing metal and changed their sound later.

Regarding Tespia (Italy), I found out that Pietro Baldan was a band member.

He's playing in 2 or 3 metal bands nowadays, which I will try to contact.

Needs research. - Thaumaturge
Location: Lithuania
Listed genre: Thrash Metal/Industrial (?)
Band members: Unknown
Discography: "On the Seventh Day God Created Guitar" (1994, tape - looks like it could be metal), "Eurovyzha" (2006, cd-r: listed as industrial. This release might not be metal)
- the song "Hell Alone: Lost in Paradise" was also on the 1996 compilation "Some in the Endlessness Vol. 2", which is mostly metal bands and some hardcore bands.

Regarding Rough Justice - I came across a UK band by this name (from Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne, England), but am pretty sure it's not the same one listed in this thread that had a 4-song demo that was reportedly released in 1981. Still, there's a chance it could be the same band, since so little is known about them. Information from a review states that Rough Justice (the one from the YouTube videos below) formed in 1981, and their first demo, "I Can't Help It" was released in '82 or '83. They played Hard Rock, heavily influenced by Deep Purple: https://www.youtube.com/user/cymondo/videos (none of these songs match up to a title on the Rough Justice '81 demo that is supposedly NWOBHM and not yet listed on the site).

Location: Portugal
Genre: Heavy Metal
Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/battalionportugalband/
More info: http://portugal80smetal.blogspot.com/20 ... alion.html (mentions a lineup change during the recording of a demo, but not if it was ever completed or released)
Interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol1QxhsOoG4
They're a metal band, formed in 1988. Were playing shows as recently as last year. Not sure that they have a release, though - maybe it mentions this detail at the YouTube interview link above, if anyone knows Portuguese and wants to give it a viewing.

Needs research. - Agnus Dei
Location: Brazil
Formed in: 1985
Listed genre: Hard Rock/Heavy Metal
Band members: Peco (drums), Adailson (bass), Toni Romano (vocals), Rodrigo Cotia (guitars)
Known discography: Demo '86/'87 (track list: Imigrante/ Advento)
Reviewed in Rock Brigade #26 'zine - described as pure hard rock with hints of British metal. Influences are Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen and Manowar. Based on the review, they might be more of a hard rock band than metal, but there's a chance they'd be acceptable if audio samples can be found.

Hey all,

Got a band that needs further research per advisement from Azmodes, for anyone who may have been in the Milwaukee, WI Black Metal community or obtained the release:

Needs research. - Nihil Rising
Genre- Black Metal (Nihilist/Atavistic)
Years active- 2005/2006 to 2009

- There was a demo made and put on CD-R (roughly 10 were made) that was passed out to friends and those interested after attending one of the multiple underground shows they performed, wondering if there is a fully copy out there somewhere, the only info i've been able to get from a fan/ friend of one of the band members on the release is a single image of the demo CD, and digital files for the first 4 of the 8 tracks that were on it-- due to the CD being damaged in some way I was not able to receive the rest.

If anyone has further info or a copy of the actual CD please reply to this or send me a message, I have a draft of the band and details for submission, just trying to get the rest of the appropriate context/details.

For Azmodes or those working at MA- if there is not result in finding the additional tracks and a segue for checking them out (per discussion on the other thread of original reference), is there a way to appropriately email or dropbox the tracks that are available to you that you would accept?

The band can now be removed from the list, since it has been accepted:

Regarding Entourage, there is a review in Gray Matter #5 zine that states that musically there are many styles involved: progressive metal, along with End Over End/U2, Middle East and Irish tones, with vocals comparable to "an underdeveloped John Denver." It is the project of Vince Palamara: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ara/886976 , m.a. username vincebethel. There are several Entourage rehearsal songs here: https://www.youtube.com/c/VincePalamara ... =entourage. Haven't listened to many, but so far sounds like they probably shouldn't be added.

Needs research. - 646 / Sex for Sex
Location: Paris, France
Possible genre: Crossover Thrash / Metalcore?
Band members: Emeric (vocals, guitar), La Pieuvre (drums)
Discography: "Sex for Sex" demotape (1995)
Discogs link: https://www.discogs.com/artist/6348203-646

The band describes their music as "Metal Hardcore", so this could be another metallic Hardcore band. The band's previous incarnation as Force de Frappe played music that was purely a mix of Oi! and Hardcore with one token Metal track, so it's possible they went more Metal on this 4 song demo cassette.

Having never heard it, I would have to wait before adding it.

Needs research. - Streams
Location: Lille, France
Listed genre: Metal
Band members: Hervé Coquerel (drums, https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... erel/55659), Stéphane Buriez (guitar/vocals, https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... riez/55645), Xavier Sicot (bass, https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... cot/453493)
Discography: Contributed a song called "The Bank of Pain" to the 1995 compilation "Brutale Generation". Most of the bands on this comp have demos or other releases out. Not sure about this band, and haven't heard the track yet, but it's listed as metal and considering that it involved Loudblast members and the bassist of Nocturnal Fears in the mid '90s it could be good metal.

From what I've heard, it mostly sounds like a bunch of disconnected solos and noodling. I'm holding off until I actually hear output from those aforementioned demos. If the music sounds anything like the content on his YouTube channel, then Entourage is unfit for Metal-Archives.

Added. - Blind Side

Spoiler: show
Location: Greece
Genre: Heavy/Power Metal
Years active: late 80s-early 90s
Band members/discography:
two cassette demos and some compilation appearances

I have brought them up in the past, but I couldn't find it... basically I had the one demo but I don't have it anymore. the situation has since imporved in the sense that I can provide (just) one of their songs as it appeared in a compilation.

would that be enough for acceptance?

*sorries, I know the first post says not to ask here if a band can be accepted, but I could not find a more appropriate thread and I refrained from starting one of its own...

About Blindside: yes, that could be enough if it seems to be very obviously metal. Depending on how it sounds there might be a need for more samples, but it would be worth trying to submit, since their music seems hard to come by.

Another SSS band that is said to be a heavy metal/oi! hybrid. The band has two albums apparently, but I couldn't find a single song for either online. I'll link the albums below:

Hi again,

I'm going to resurrect the search on this band because back when I initially posted this there was another album by them that I was unable to find. I found a website that has it for download, but it wants you to get an account to download it. The band's debut was found to be not predominately metal. The album that I am searching for is entitled Born.

https://www.discogs.com/Shishimaru-Born ... e/12853484

Here it is:
https://xclusivemp3.com/119010/shishima ... -flac.html

More info on this:

The band has a 3 track ep thing that I was able to find a teaser for. Sounded pretty metal to me, but I can't find the whole thing anywhere.

https://www.discogs.com/Shishimaru-%E7% ... e/13079660

teaser: https://vimeo.com/143022946

Edit: Also, I found some teasers from the born ep/album thing. Sounded like a mix of punk and heavy metal.

Needs research. - Deathrider
Location: California
Genre: Thrash Metal
Band members: Unknown
Discography: Demo '05 (if an official release)
- Another band that comes from burned CDs of downloadable MySpace bands. There are 4 songs here, labeled as "Demo '05" - rehearsal sound quality, unknown if it was an official release or if they had other recordings, but they had a MySpace page at one point, and the music here is metal. Not Deathriders with Neil Turbin, or either of the 2 US Deathrider bands on M.A. Sounds like a young band, playing fairly loose old school thrash.

Demos were recorded but not released officially. - Major Briggs
Spoiler: show
Location: Illinois
Band members: Brian Jugle, a.k.a. Von Jugle (https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Von_Jugel/608076)
Genre: Thrash Metal/Crossover
Discography: "Demos '05/'04" - I received this from a band member around '05/'06. Going through CD collection, and have the CD-R in a booklet of discs only, but if memory serves it came with artwork in a slim case. Musically belongs on the site, but need track listings, and to find out whether the demos, or this CD that compiled 2 demos were considered official releases. 13 tracks on the CD.
- Have sent Brian an email at the address listed on Metal Archives profile. He mentioned this band in the forum a couple of times but doesn't appear to have been on here in a while.
- March 8: Got an email back from Brian - he said that the band's recordings weren't released officially.
Since the info isn't anywhere else, I'll include this here - Brian doesn't think that he played on the CD demos. The other band members were: Steve Hain (guitar), Dom Ramundo (vocals), Mike Rataj (drums - has a M.A. page)

Needs research. - Craze
Location: Oldenburg, Lower Saxony
Genre: Heavy Metal (?)
Band members: C. Stolz, A. Krusmann (guitarists)
Discography: "There Was a Time" demo (1986 - songs include "In the Night" and "Ready to Kill")
Info: Reviewed in Streetfighter #5 'zine, although the music itself isn't described much. There is a complaint about the vocals, and mention that there are electronic drums. Mentions that the band is a change from the "speed violence" that was dominating the scene at the time. Assumed to be heavy metal, but it would be better to get samples or more information before adding them to the site.

Not predominantly metal. - A Ghost of Flare
Spoiler: show
Country: Japan
Genre: Metalcore/Deathcore

Hi again guys. I've been trying to find the full length from this band entitled Soulburner from 2019. It doesn't seem to be available anywhere and I couldn't find a download. There is a music video for one of the songs on the album and it sounded promising. I've listened to some of the band's other material on spotify and, while there are metal moments, a lot of them are mostly -core type chugging. This song made it seem more riff focused than the other stuff.

I know about that one. It is also listed on the Discogs link I provided, but I forgot to mention it. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any downloads of the two demos, so we're still short on samples.
