Spectral Wound will release their third album, A Diabolic Thirst, through Profound Lore Records on April 16.

Tracklisting:
1. Imperial Saison Noire
2. Frigid and Spellbound
3. Soul Destroying Black Debauchery
4. Mausoleal Drift
5. Fair Lucifer, Sad Relic
6. Diabolic Immanence

Frigid and Spellbound has been released as the first single:

Spoiler: show

I know this album (and its goofy cover art) has already been discussed in the most anticipated albums of 2021 thread, but I thought I'd make a separate thread for it. Infernal Decadence was and still is one of my most listened to melodic BM releases of recent years so to say I'm stoked for this album is an understatement. The first single is killer and the band continues to maintain that balance between melody and rawness that has made their work so engaging.

The debut track from this LP sounds amazing as expected. All the instruments are clear and energetic. Truly headbanging BM. These fellas have a real knack for melody and balancing ferocity along with it.
What a treat these guys would be live, I am sure.

I can't wait for this one, will pre-order as soon as it's up.
That first track is stunning.

Their last album was, in my opinion, the best black metal album of it's year and an album that I still play regularly. So needless to say I'm hyped as fuck for this.

Oh shit, had no idea these guys existed. A QCBM-styled Sargeist ripoff? Sign me the fuck up. These tracks are sweet.

I love that Profound Lore is located an hour's drive from my house cause I know I'll be able to spend less than 20 bucks on this and it will get to my house in less than a week

Ridiculous CD shipping charges from Germany to Spain, nearly 14 euros?! That's more than the CD, fuck that.

So the album is a straight up ripper, and a step up from Infernal Decadence. They've really gotten a handle on how to write catchy, aggressive melodic black metal.

They basically did everything I enjoy in a BM band with this. Very cool.

I'm not normally a black metal guy but I've gotta say the riffs on this thing are quite tasty.

If you like the first two albums this one is just as good, if not better.

Full digital album on Bandcamp for a few days, but I'm trying to wait until the CD arrives. Even more excited now after reading these positive comments!

Just bought the vinyl from the local metal shop in Quebec, where they're from. Outstanding. Definitely on my end year list
