They're an earlier band of guitarist Kiyoshi (https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Kiyoshi/791913), whose current band 'SxxRxxS' I've added to the site. He mentions it in their bio here: https://sxxrxxs.wixsite.com/metal/biography.

They also turn up in the Rockin'f Metal 'Metal Indies All Band Guide' from 1987. No details unfortunately, but it does say they were Tokyo-based.

(Antioch): Regarding Impalor (California, US) - Their guitarist's name was Alex and he played in Holy Tyrant briefly. According to information in the 'about' section of Holy Tyrant's Facebook page, he passed away. Maybe ex-members of that band or related bands would know more about whether or not there was an official release of those tracks from 2008, and who the other band members were. Impalor used to gig with Mortuary and Lazarus (pre-Holy Tyrant) at The Jumping Turtle venue.
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ho ... ab_members
https://www.facebook.com/holy.tyrant (no activity since 2012).
Holy Tyrant bassist Andrew Rodriguez was part of the lineup when Alex was playing with them. He was more recently in a band called Slums of the Future, whose Facebook page had last activity in 2017.

(Antioch): Regarding Lazarus (California, US), the known band members were Reed Olson (drums - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... son/847236, R.I.P.), Lee Mendez (guitars, vocals? - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... dez/898651), Jeremy (bass?). Before Holy Tyrant went back to their old name in 2010 they were going by the name Lazarus for a little while.
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ho ... 3540468286

Regarding Aventale, another band from the Oceanside, California area that you posted about, the band members were Clayton Tremmel (later played/plays electronic music - artist or band name Dimrain47), Molly Lindquist, Danny Colwell (https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ell/495336), Clayton Judd (Keyboards - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... #ui-tabs-1).
Latvia artist Liiga Smilshkalne made the album cover for what has yet to be a verified CD release, "Catalyst". https://www.deviantart.com/liiga/art/Ca ... -186140002

Valinor seems to be a related band, but I haven't been able to find anything besides an old MySpace page: https://myspace.com/valinor777

Didn't have any releases. - Dannazione
Location: Messina, Sicily, Italy

Added. - Spasm
Spoiler: show
Location: Messina, Sicily, Italy

Didn't have any releases. - Dies Irae
Location: Messina, Sicily, Italy

I found a post in this FB page https://www.facebook.com/14964583186690 ... 670849891/ where they are talking about interviews on an old italian zine to three metal bands of the early 90s from Messina (Dannazione, Spasm and Dies Irae).
Sadly, the link to the pics of the interviews on Imageshack is dead.
I contacted the page and they told me the name of the guy that done the post but actually no answers.
Can you help me to find some info about the bands? especially if they published something.

Same with the other two bands from Messina named by me some post ago: Edge of Mortality and ThyEdge.
I contacted an ex member (i found him on SoundCloud searching on Google) but the profile seems not active (actually no answers and the latest posted stuff is 9 years old).
Can you help me to find the demos released by both bands and all the infos that we need?

Thanks!

These may be unrelated to the bands listed above, but worth noting: according to the want list of someone very knowledgeable about older metal from the area, an epic metal band called Dies Irae from Piombino, Tuscany released a self-titled demo in 1990.
A crossover band from Liguria (probably unrelated to above) called Spasmo released "Il destino è..." and a live demo in 1987.

Thanks for the infos but i think that these are not the bands listed by me.
The post on FB talks clearly about "3 gruppi messinesi formatisi nei primi anni '90" translated -> "3 bands from Messina formed in the early 90s" so i think that there is not possibility that they are talking about a band from Tuscany or from Liguria.

OK I think I've found a valid release for Deserver. They apparently reformed in 2003 and released a Hardcore/Metal crossover split CD with Hardcore Punk band 'Overthrow' here:
https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/OVER-THROW-DESERVER/dp/B000STCAGU/
I guess that's OK if the metal 'side' is actually metal?

It's definitely the same band as there's a track list at the label's site below and 'Final Pollution' from the Skull Smash LP is also on the split:
http://www.wing-gr.com/music/artist/deserver.html
Kiyoshi gets a song-writing credit, though he didn't join the reunion.

If that's likely to be acceptable, do you want me to do the sub?

From the same series as above, the bands of interest on part 4, "Condenados Al Olvido IV: Ladies Of Metal" are:
Added. - Mole
Not convincingly metal enough to add based on their one fairly short song. - Huracán

Spoiler: show
The band Lazy has been black listed (rock), Yin Yang are not metal, based on some streams that I came across. Not sure about the band or project Mari Luz/Carlos Creator that's on here. One Mole song sounds promising, but it wouldn't hurt to hear the others before adding them based on a single song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMSgd8ap6DY
Their band members include:
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... Dnez/11813
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... gura/11893

Huracán featured vocalist Azuzina (https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Azuzena/12126), the recording being from just prior to joining the band Santa (https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Santa/6426#band_tab_members). They recruited her as a vocalist after being impressed with one of their gigs.
Early Santa footage with Azuzena on vocals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJNNFEwqTt0

https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/P ... tal/651003 (6 bands)
https://www.discogs.com/Various-Condena ... se/9853081
Both bands also have a song on this vinyl compilation: https://www.discogs.com/Various-Ellas-S ... e/15598818

Huracán was the band of guitar player Manuel de Dios Ponce (better known as Dios Ponce; he released a solo EP in 1986, hard rock I believe); Azuzena joined in 1982. It also featured Rafael Insúa (bass) and, according to some sources, José Segura (later in Mole, Panzer, etc.). Dios Ponce passed away, but I don't know when. BTW, Huracán was one of the bands founded in 1981 after the split of Prog./Psych. Rock band Magerit (which, at the same time, was the continuation of another one called Colores, active since the late 60s). Other band members of Magerit went to form Panzer (in the archives).

Thank you for that information about Huracán.
There's a little bit more about Mole that I just came across at this site:
https://picarock-saintssinnersrock.blog ... adies.html
- Translated to English: " Madrid's MOLE formerly known as HÚRACAN where AZUCENA DORADO was,With the voice of MARA they recorded these three songs in 1984 of a very hard Heavy Rock with many Purplelian influences with the use of the keyboard, which could remind us of the style of the first PANZER albums, how we can verify in the very hard "YA NO PUEDO TRFIAR" , or in the great "NO CAMBIARÁS" that continue to mix the sound of 70s Hard Rock with the hardest HEAVY METAL of the time, as we see in the spicy "ALTA SOCIEDAD".

Needs research. - Arlequin (a.k.a. Arlekin after a slight name change?)

This band was from Basauri (Basque Country).
- 1983 lineup:
Iñaki Urkizu (later in Éxodo)
Chema Olabarri "Zirito" (guitars)
Manolo (guitars, R.I.P. late 80s)
Manu Gámez (bass, 1962-R.I.P. June 4th, 2018)
Miguel Ángel (drums)

They recorded a 4-tracks demo around late 1982 (briefly reviewed at Muskaria #16, January 1983):
https://ibb.co/K5nQ0k1
It included the songs Gernika; Heroína; Esa chica and Algo falla and was described this way: "pluckings often give the impression of offering unnecessary complexity detrimental to the overall devastating effect..."

The band may have recorded another demo including this song (which is quite motorhead-ish):

I'm convinced it's not another band because the voice is that of Iñaki Urkizu, compare it to Éxodo...

... and because of this press clip about the singer (1989):
https://www.bilbao.eus/bld/bitstream/ha ... 2923981417
"His definitive lean towards heavy-rock coincides with the beginning of this decade and the band "Arlekin".
Talking about his old, recently deceased, mate Manolo, he says:
"I was a friend of Manolo, the guitarist who passed away, a scorpion like me" (which is what the song title means, "I'm a scorpion")

Urkizu left the band that year and entered in Éxodo. As Arlekin the band later released a Punk/Rock? album entitled Derrame cerebral in 1988:

Lineup:
Chema Olabarri "Zirito" (guitars, vocals)
Manu Gámez (bass, 1962-R.I.P. June 4th, 2018)
Iñaki (drums)
Pepe (saxophone)

Regarding Dannazione and Dies Irae from Messina, i talked with the ex drummer Francesco Caliri and they never published anything.
I opened also a report because the artist profile of Francesco was duplicated (he was also the drummer of Journey Through The Dark and Art Inferno) and you can also add anyway Dannazione and Dies Irae in the past bands.
I am waiting an answer regarding Spasm, i asked if they published something or not.

Thanks for the updates on those 2 bands. Took care of the report on Francesco Caliri, and added Arlequin to the main list.

Thank you very much KingSpooky.
Regarding Dies Irae, can i ask you to fix the voice on this artist profile https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... meo/369425 from "Unknown" to "Guitar"? (Francesco Caliri gave me all the infos about the Dies Irae, Dannazione and Spasm lineup)

No problem, G One. Also, feel free to research and submit any of the bands that I post about in here if you feel like it and are able to come across enough information to do so. Usually if enough info is found on a band in this thread, the person who originally posted about them has a week reserved to submit. I'd be happy just to have them turn up on the site. Nice to have you active in here lately.

Added. - Warlord
Spoiler: show
Location: Unknown (possibly Sweden, most likely somewhere in Europe)
Band members: Unknown
Discography: Demo 1984 (track listing: Burning in the Night/ Spirit of the Wild/ Stormy Gates of Hell/ You Lose)
- Traditional heavy metal that no other info about is known. The bass playing stands out.

Sure KingSpooky! in reality i am more interested in old obscure bands than in new ones, so probably this will be my main activity on MA.
Just a little note: here https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... meo/369425 you talk about Francesco Caliri as vocalist but he was the drummer.

Songs were recorded, but not released - Knightskull
Spoiler: show
Location: Trikala, Thessaly, Central Macedonia, Greece
Genre: Epic Heavy/Power Metal
Band members: Sapios Papachristos (aka Necro - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 04344) is the only known member. According to the description of a YouTube video, the band contained members of Dragon's Lair and Witchcurse. These 2 bands should have more information, maybe even on whether or not they released anything. Necro joined Witchcurse during or after he played in this band. Considering they had a MySpace page and when Dragon's Lair was active, Knightskull was probably active around the 2004-2008 range.

https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Dr ... Lair/93768
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Witchcurse/96352

Discography: Unknown (their Myspace page lists release title as "Time for Revenge," and has the two songs "Time for Revenge" and "Better Things to Do" (Dealer cover) listed under that title. A song on YouTube entitled "Midnight Lady" (not an Eyespell cover) mentions in the notes that it was recorded for rehearsal only, but is an excellent song.
YouTube - rehearsal song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqNVyxA ... rt_radio=1
Myspace - https://myspace.com/knightskull

Update: 6-11: Got this email from someone in Witchcurse, who one of Knightskull's members played in: "Our guitarist Necro formed the band back in 2008 or 2009. I am not really sure.
Necro was the only Witchcurse member and there weren't any Dragons Lair members in the band, as mentioned in the YouTube video. Even the video itself it's not a real full Knightskull recording. Necro sent the track to this guy from Dragons Lair to have a try on the vocals. Necro wasn't 100% satisfied with the vocals and the guy uploaded the video later on YouTube without even ask him.
The band recorded two more tracks plus a Dealer-Better Things to do cover with a full line up and DIFFERENT THAN THE YOUTUBE VIDEO singer. But the demo never came out."
