Thank you for the links above.

Needs research. - Angel Negro
Location: Vic, Catalonia, Spain (neither of the ones listed on the site currently)
Genre: Heavy/Thrash Metal
Band members: Sergi, Quim, Ojé, Pedro
Discography: Demo 1987 (track listing, not in this order: Atrapado estoy/ Nunca más verás la luz/ Angel negro/ Mi libertad
They play metal that is rough around the edges, and uses a couple of parts from the first Malmsteen album, but musically is fine for the site. Just need to find out if the recording was released.
Full stream on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/PedroOcete/se ... el%20negro
Same info on another site that was probably sourced from the YouTube videos: https://translate.google.com/translate? ... ch&pto=aue

Location: Barcelona, Spain (not the other band on the site by this name that had a release in 2010)
Genre: Thrash/Heavy Metal
Discography: Demo 86-87 (track listing, not in this order: La ciudad, Cabaret, Falso romeo, Fuego sobre fuego, Vente a la curva, La madera) - looking for confirmation that these recordings were released

Needs research. - Bela Lugosi's Flower
Location: Rivoli, Turin, Piedmont, Italy
Style: A mix of Folk, Progressive Metal, Black Metal and Experimental Rock
The band was born in 1996 as Full Moon Rising
Here a review of the demo "Sounds Of Wish" on GrindZone 1/99 https://imgur.com/a/YgV5CvV

I need audio samples of "Sounds Of Wish" cause the style seems really unclear and borderline so i need to check if is acceptable as metal band.

Added. - Ultimatum
Spoiler: show
Location: Syracuse, Sicily, Italy
Style: Black Metal
Here a review of a 1998 demo tape on GrindZone 1/99 https://imgur.com/a/0csFeOc

I need audio samples because the reviewer talks about a very rough demo with a minimal black metal in the style of the old Mayhem so i don't know if is acceptable or not on Metal Archives.
It is important to check this demo because i remember clearly during 90's a lot of acceptable black metal bands (now on MA) reviewed as "noise" of "too rough" on GrindZone.

These bands come from a metal compilation called "Extrem Paranoid II" that contains a couple of bands from Sweden, and a lot of bands from Colombia. They very likely play(ed) metal, released at least one demo, and are from one of these 2 countries. Note: The band Shadows And Chaos is listed as Shadows Of Chaos, so slight misspellings are possible.

The band is misspelled on the compilation, but their name was Rebellion, which changed to Altars of Rebellion - already on the site. - Revelion
Spoiler: show
Song title: "Epitafo"

Needs research. - Nevirus
Song title: "Ave Satan"

The band is misspelled on the compilation - listed as Agressor on the site. - Agresor
Spoiler: show
Song title: "Traumatica Intervension"
- update: almost 100% sure that it is this band: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ag ... iscography. See note in discography section. Misspelled here.

Needs research. - Double Esion
Location: Caltagirone (Catania), Sicily, Italy
Genre: A mix of Cyber Black Metal, Techno, Grindnoise
I found a review of the demo "Assassination - Promo CD" on GrindZone 4/2000 https://imgur.com/a/nb8epbP

The mix of music styles is really borderline so i need samples.

Needs research. - Artificial Tears
Location: Motta Sant'Anastasia (Catania), Sicily, Italy
Genre: probably Industrial Metal with various influences ( here someone talks about "Industrial Metal" https://www.freeforumzone.com/mobile/d/ ... sione.aspx )
I found two reviews, one on GrindZone 1/1999 and one on GrindZone 3/2000 https://imgur.com/a/ydrrrje

Probably a really borderline mix of musical styles so i need samples.
(Spooky - Regarding Artificial Tears, their song "Bismillah" is on the "Into the Underground 3" compilation CD (Whiplash Productions), and here is the cover art and record label of their album "True" (2000):
https://www.discogs.com/release/1279511 ... Tears-True
You could try to contact Mariano Fontaine ( https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ine/129885 ), the person who compiled the "Into the Underground" series, and feel free to ask about or look into any of the other bands posted on page 77 of this thread that are from the same set of compilations, not yet on the site.)

Added. - Treason
Spoiler: show
Location: Australia
Band members: Unknown
Discography: EP (from around '82/'83) - reviewed in The Headbanger 'zine #5, alongside Bengal Tigers "Metal Fetish" and both are described as being from Australia, but can't find anything about the Treason EP that is reviewed online. The songs on it are "Way of the World," "Warriors," "Born to Ride" and "Burning." They're described as playing "some real heavy-duty metal with their own unique style," though they mention that the song "Burning" lacks originality compared to the other 3 tracks. In the same page, Persian Risk is spelled Persion Risk, so maybe a spelling error is what is keeping this supposed release from getting any results on a Google search.

Needs research. - On Edge
Location, Band members: Unknown
Described genre: Thrash
Discography: Demo 1989
- reviewed in The Rage of Violence #1 'zine, where they're described as a "typical lame thrash band, with especially lame vocals", and that the only credit the editor can give them is that "they play fast." No further info mentioned.

Demo had been planned, but not released. - Requiem
Spoiler: show
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Formed in: June 1985
Genre: Speed Metal
Band members: Anthony Sangiovanni, Pat Adams (ex-Iron Tyrants: guitar - joined and left in '85), Mike Catricola (ex-Iron Tyrants: vocals, bass - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 04917), Glen Crisera (guitars - replaced Pat Adams)
Discography: In the Terminal Rage #3 'zine ('85) it is mentioned that they were finishing up a demo named "Pray for Your Death," that was to include the songs "Smoldering Remains," "First You Die," "Forever Disappear," "Chalice of the Unholy Priest," "Chemically Created Clones of Destruction," among others. By the next issue, in '86 Mike C. had left and was playing in the band Stillborn (https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Stillborn/3540321593#band_tab_members). It's unclear whether or not the demo was released.

Seems to only be unofficial rehearsal recordings that exist. - Virus (Spain)
Spoiler: show
Genre: Heavy Metal
Location: Spain (likely Palma, Balearic Islands)
Band members: Jaime Triay (vocals), Juan Andres Ruiz (drums), Juan Gaya (guitars), Angel Rodriguez (guitars), and 3 members past/present in Shock Wave (https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Shock_Wave/3540479522#band_tab_members) - Sandro Vizcaino (bass - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 28245), Juan Carlos Eichborn Hanly (guitars), Xisco Bellver (bass, R.I.P. - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 80758).
Discography: Demo 1984 (?) - there is a song on YouTube that is heavy metal with horrible production, maybe more because of a problem with the tape than the way that it was recorded. The song is called "Pasa por encima". The description in the video, translated to English says: "Unique theme "rescued" from the original recording of the VIRUS demo." Unclear whether or not a demo was released.

I'm sure at 99.99% Nosferatu was not the band that is in the archives. Not only it seems chronologically inconsistent, Aranda de Duero is quite far from Barcelona, too.

I've been searching the Myspace page where that song was taken from (because that was the case) to see if I could recover it through archive.org. No luck, but it still must be there, somewhere.

Anyway, I've been digging in my personal files and found that I luckily copied the bio that was posted there by S. Vizcaíno:
Quote:

Nothing is said about a demo being recorded nor released. At the penultimate row he talks about the idea of re-recording some of the old songs he owns in rehearsal tapes. So maybe that recording was only an old rehearsal (which could explain the extermely poor quality of the recording) and the logo in the video was just that... a logo he rescued of an old folder. Reading further, the other recordings posted at MySpace were provisional in order to record the bass lines and Xisco doing the vocals (if possible, he says). It seems Xisco died not long after the bio was written, though.

Regarding Edge Of Mortality, here another confirmation that they were on "Dawn Of Gods III" by Metal Horse Production, this is the list of the bands from an old GrindZone (sadly i can't find the names of the tracks) https://imgur.com/a/4isG8UE
This confirms that the band has at least released a demo, but maybe I need to be able to find old magazines from the 90s (probably 1998) to be able to prove it definitively.
Other Italian bands on that compilation that I can't find on Metal Archives:

Needs research. - Blemish
Location: Italy?

Needs research. - Intortion
Location: Italy?

Needs research. - Smog

Needs research. - Semen Holokhaoz

Genre: Unknown
Country: Brazil
Members: Unknown

Obscure Nazi garbage that's shown up on a pair of samplers in recent years. I can't really find anything about them outside of mentions for these splits, including any samples to judge them with. They appeared on 2015's Imutável Beligerância 4-way split, and one of those tracks was later reused on 2017's Nuclear War at the Times of the Gods 6-way sampler.

While I lack samples, the Imutável Beligerância split actually divides the tape into "R.A.C." & "Black Metal" sides, with Semen Holokhaoz appearing on the later, so it's plausible they would make the cut with proper samples.

The band was submitted quite recently by the owner of the label, that one of the splits was released on, the band is defininetely from Brazil and was submitted as thrash metal, but the submission was rejected later on for reasons unknown to me. This is the user:

Just checked, and Semen Holokhaoz was rejected because there were no audio samples given with the submission.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Cranial Crusher): The band Gabryel (Poland) seems fine to submit. The 3 songs are downloadable, and there is nothing that mentions that more than 3 songs were part of the release (except for the mention of "album," but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's a full-length.
https://gabryelmetal.bandcamp.com/album ... czy-taniec

(Cranial Crusher): NewBand (who changed their name to NB in 2017) can also be added.

Added. - Thorns of Sephiroth
Spoiler: show
Location: Germany (Koblenz)
Genre: Thrash Metal?
Band members: Stefan Wilbert, Hendrik Weber, (also in Steelpreacher), Thomas Wilbert, Stefan Mockenhaupt

https://www.discogs.com/Thorns-of-Sephi ... e/18452467

This was recently submitted without samples, and since the user was by all appearances the single owner on Discogs I rejected and asked for a possible rip of the CD. No resubmission since, so I'm posting this here in case they never do so. That being said, I don't really doubt it's metal, so worst case scenario, even without samples this could eventually be restored based on the Discogs genre and general "look" of things. It would still be preferable to have some additional, independent musical description to go by.

Their old website was captured by WM a couple of times, but for some reason none of the snapshots show anything for me: https://web.archive.org/web/20020501000 ... hiroth.de/

From an eBay lot of metal cassettes (a lot of '90s death metal, some thrash), at least one isn't on the site yet:

Needs research. - Cybil
Location: Wilmington/Rockland, Massachusetts, US
Band members: Bass – Michelle O'Brien, Drums – Juliette Hajjar, Guitar – Danielle Laforce ( https://www.facebook.com/danielle.laforce.731 ), Vocals – Carolyn Kenny
Discography: "Ward D"

I've made changes to my post for Semen Holokhaoz based on everyone's replies.

A few new pieces from eBay:

Needs research. - Steadfast

Genre: "Thrash/Death/Hardcore"
Country: USA (Albuquerque, New Mexico)
Members: Unknown

Discography: Demo 1997, Live in Studio
1. Internal Interrogation
2. Degradation
3. Suicide
4. Channeled

Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324584676671?h ... Swd9tggPdm
The genre combo is a bit questionable but it's cheaper than the seller's usual fare.

Added. - Soterios

Spoiler: show
Genre: Death/Thrash
Country: USA (North Carolina)
Members: Chris, John, Andre
Discography:

*Three Song Demo (199?, exact year unknown)
*Demo (1996)
*The Blinding Pain of Unspoken Words (2001, Clenched Fist Records)

The 3-song demo is available on eBay. Info on the other two releases and member names comes from here and here. That last link does describe the genre of Demo #2 as "a mixture of death, thrash, hardcore, and maybe even a touch of nu-metal"; it also casts doubt on whether the 2001 full-length was the same band or not.

Already on the site. - Afterdeath

Spoiler: show
We have Afterdeath listed on the site already, with this demo listed in the notes as 'additional discography'. However, while our page, and the listing for the demo, label this as a Brazilian band, the actual inlay seen in the listing has a location listed as "Rua Costa Rica". It may just be nothing, but it's possible this is a separate band.

(Spooky): Rua Costa Rica is the street name; below it: Cariacica, ES (Espírito Santo) - located in Brazil.

Added. - Alien
Spoiler: show
(formerly known as Vamp)
Location: Brazil
Genre: Doom Metal
Discography: Demo 1986 (track listing: Cat People/ Into the Night/ Hope to Die/ Dark Knight
Band members: Junior Padilha - Vocals, Bubba Seven - guitars, Omar Padilha - bass, Sady DiCarmo - drums
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXpsu2g75IE
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ALIEN-BR-187780421375641/
- Just need to find out whether or not their demo was released. They might be able to answer the question on Facebook - if so, feel free to submit.

Regarding Soterios: All reviews suggest, that it is the same band as the one, that released the dmo cassettes. The Full lenlength album is described as metalcore, in one review even as death groove core.

Regarding Spasm, people near the band confirmed me that they recorded a demo tape.
I am trying to contact the guitarist on Facebook to ask him to digitalize the demo and to make some pics of the cassette.

Added. - Vidur
Spoiler: show
Location: Italy?
Genre: Black Metal

Here a review of the demo "Liberate Vos Ex Inferis" on GrindZone 1/2009 https://imgur.com/a/Kk2Xlex

Same as Ultimatum. Reading the review, the demo seems really rough from the point of the production and the music but i need samples because, as i said in the past, a lot of valid releases were judged too rough or simply noise by GrindZone.

Awesome, thanks! On that eBay lot of death/thrash metal tapes, a second photo with the backs of all of the cassettes has been added - might contain some more useful info while looking into the bands.

Here's another release by Holy Warrior, a self-titled demo - year of release unknown.
https://www.discogs.com/es/Holy-Warrior ... e/17423707

A Christian Metal band, same city and zip code. Jose Garrido (guitars), Martin Lieske (vocals), Matthias Balint (guitars), Matthias Petzel (keyboards), Florian Senger (drums). Unless the spelling of any of those names is slightly off (as it is kind of tough to read the small print) none of them are in the database yet. Axel Gregor is credited as technican and mixer.

The Corroseum's description of this band in the German metal section of the site says that they played Speed Metal, probably sourced from a zine.
