I can’t see it either so they either blocked us both or deleted the page.

I can still see it, having checked. I saw it get posted and unfollowed the page immediately, what an utter embarrassment. Who has time for this ridiculous shit in this day and age?

I was never into Disma besides knowing them because who didnt honestly, and I remember Craig being outed as a nazi fucker, but this new twist is legitimately surreal in that I don't think anybody saw this coming

The comparisons to Inquisition are apt. Because I wasnt into either before the controversy and now I'm never checking either band out, could Rot in hell for all I care.

Hahahaha! I didn’t even say anything on the post. I just clearly “liked” the wrong comments. Freaking babies.

Definitely ashamed to have ever liked that old album of theirs. But I had no clue about any of their proclivities then.

That FB thread seems to have been scrubbed of any dissent to them. What a bunch of whiny little babies.

The music was fine but I’m never buying anything again from them. Fox News metal can suck it.

It was 10 years ago now and all I had to go off was the music - don't recall ever reading about their politics back then. But everything in politics has become so agitated and everyone has to bring it up in every context now, no matter what. It's definitely a different atmosphere.

Same. This is pretty much the worst I’ve ever seen a band with some moderate success handle this though.

Damn. Never have I wished to have known a band before, just so that I could boycott them. Ignoring bands you didn't even know existed jsut doesn't have the same feeling. They deserve to be actively ignored, not just passively.

I have to point out my favorite reply, them telling a guy to go "watch CNN". These types are so attached to their propaganda rag that they can't even imagine that not everyone is like that. As if CNN was leftist, lol. But I geuss when you're an actual Nazi, anything left of hunting migrants for sports looks like communism.

Disma was my introduction to this style of death metal. Was bummed when I found out about them being pieces of shit, but there are now an infinite amount of bands that are just as good or better, all of whom have released more than one fucking album a decade ago. It's insane they've been able to amass such a following from an hour of music and a handful of shows.

Also, this reminds me of the time I got banned from Thy Darkened Shade's Facebook for commenting that "Satan isn't actually real. You're aware of that, right?"

Fuck that nazi scumbag and his band full of apologists. Hearing aging white men whine about "cancel culture" is about as cringy as it gets.

Hundreds of bands play this style of death metal anyway, plenty of other bands to choose from.

Further proof that Daryl was the heart and soul of Disma, and that Funebrarum's upcoming album should be getting everyone's attention instead.

Well, more often than not it's an edgy cop-out of a philopsophy that "allows" you to be a dickhead to everyone. But nazism, at least, should be pretty fucking far removed from nihilism, because, as Walter eloquently puts it:
"You can say what you want about the tenets of national socialism but at least it's an ethos."

If anything, I suppose a true nihilist could be a silent enabler of nazism, because they truly do not care.

Shawn too, his drumming on Towards the Megalith was a huge part of what made that album what it is. Then the rest of those jabronies tried to fire him behind his back rather than wait for him to sort out some serious health problems, and that basically set the stage for Disma from that point forward haha.

You know, I really liked Towards the Megalith, but not supporting Disma isn't that huge a loss for me.

What particularly sucks for me is that I absolutely loved Craig Pillard's solo project Methadrone. His Sterility album is some gorgeous post-rocky/droney/ambient stuff that I used to love to chill out to, but learning about his views put a pretty bad taste in my mouth and turned me off of it.
