Not sure how I missed that post, but I'll send them in on my lunch hour

Edit: Submitted. I wasn't 100% how to word the genre, cause while I think it definitely meets the metal criteria, it's also a mix of a few different genres throughout there. Spooky, if you happen to look at it in the queue, feel free to update it.

Just to mention what might be a little-known fact for submitting very obscure bands - if audio has been found and the music is deemed to be metal, but it is proof of release that is what holds us back from being able to add them, if a band member is able to be contacted through Facebook or email and gives detail of a release, such as that it came out on cassette, the band can be submitted/added (with screenshots of the important parts of the conversation) even if photo evidence or a full track listing isn't available. Just add into the submission what you do know, like titles of some songs. For bands that we know had a release, which there are photos of on Discogs or another site, if audio can't be found then reviews in reputable zines would also suffice for proof of metalness, if they go into what mods consider to be enough detail regarding the way that the band sounds.

For the last while I haven't been moving all of the findings on bands posted here into a spoiler section beneath their main entry, as it is quite time-consuming to do, but when looking into a particular band, a search for their name can easily be run through the whole thread, which might bring up Facebook pages of its members, etc.

Regarding Kingspooky's second list: I would recommend going through the bands on the Heavyharmones page, since I recognize among them many hard rock and aor bands, that are familiar to me or I evenown their CDS. A lot of those bands have released a CD later on or their demos were releaed on CD as a compilation of rare material, especially in tha last fifteeen years.

Thanks, have updated those. Once we get all of the glam and bands that are already on the site weeded off of it, I'll add it onto the main list. Just leaving it here for now, as there is still a lot of obvious stuff to get rid of from it. Definitely has been some good metal on it, though, so worth digging into in my opinion. Will just keep updating, feel free to list off what shouldn't be on here. ASAP I'll check the blacklist as well, because a lot of the rock stuff is likely on there.

Needs research. - Rotting
Country: Poland
Genre: Black Metal?
Original incarnation of what would become Lord of Evil & WAR 88. Per our additional notes on the Lord of Evil entry, the band started under the name Rotting, and recorded a rehearsal demo named I Fuck the Mother of Christ in 1991, but nothing explicitly saying it was released then. Based on our timelines here, they were possibly only active by this name in 1991. The only other online references are just quoting our page.

Needs research. - Black Fire

Genre: Unknown
Country: Italy
Timeline: 1990-1992
Discography: Black Fire (demo, 199?)

Added. - Cerebral Distortion
Spoiler: show
Genre: Death Metal?
Country: Italy
Timeline: 1992-1994
Discography: Ossessione (demo, 1993)
Samples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyZ60GE6thc

Both of these are former incarnations of In Human Memories, and come from the additional notes on our entry. I found the above YouTube link for Cerebral Distortion just from cursory Googling, but I'm not sure there's enough proof of release just in that.

By the way, I tried sticking it out for this one, but the snipers really went all in on that one. Closing bid was $590 US.

Cerebral Distortion can be submitted - definitely metal, and there is a picture of the tape in the YouTube video - good find!
Yeah, that's really high for the lot of tapes. Some were very rare, but a lot of them are downloadable or on YouTube. More of an auction for people that really want the original copies, I guess. I'll try to find out more about the Massachusetts band Cybil - something will probably turn up about them eventually.

Needs research. - Mortifer
Location: Switzerland
Songs on a compilation: "Trapped in Silence" and "The Eternal Dark"
Contact name: Daniel Farg (? - hard to read small print)
https://www.discogs.com/Various-Headach ... se/3919032

Needs research. - Sakrament / Sacrament (spelled both ways in liner notes)
Location: Switzerland
Songs on a compilation: "I Am Afraid" and "Ecstasy"
Contact name/band member: Ronny Gerber (https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... %22/198356) - was playing in the band Absurd at the same time)

Both of these bands were on a Swiss metal compilation, "Headache Vol. 1" (1996). Aside from these 2 bands, only Apocalyptic Vision from this compilation isn't on the site (black listed - alternative metal). Not sure if they have releases, but most of the bands that are on this series of compilations have demos and/or albums out. There are small photos of each band on Discogs if you look in additional photos, and they both look like metal bands. Searching for audio samples and releases outside of this compilation, as it has more than 6 bands on it.
https://www.discogs.com/Various-Headach ... se/3919032

Needs research. - Moonfog
Location: Switzerland
Genre: Black Metal
Songs "Headache Vol. 3" compilation CD (1998): "Equinox" and "Auf Zum Kampf"
Known band member: Michael "Michi" Kuster, who joined the Death Metal band Requiem shortly after playing in Moonfog, and is still in the band today.

Interesting find form King Spooky's list. The band apparently toured with the NWOBHM band Chase, so their is a high potential, tthat they will sound similarly. The band released a demo cassette in 1983, need samples and more info about the release.

Roughly, it was a mixture of "Rock urbano", new wave of metal like Sôber and classic metal. Those were changing times in music and we decided to absorb it all, we even played to mix epic metal with gothic metal. We never stopped to think in a direction to follow and that was why we buried Jadde.
I guess a closer look is required.

Here...
https://muchoconcierto.es/artista/kilmara/biografia
... it is said they sold 300 copies, so that must be a physical release for sure (most likely a CD given pic dimensions)

Given the label and their "looks", I'd say grindcore; however, they could be hardcore or crossover for all I know. I still can't get myspace music to play, so this one's for those who can.

Really appreciate all the help in getting this list cleaned up and narrowing it down to what might be legitimate metal.

MetalCuresHeadaches: the band From Nothing that Witcher posted above is one that you had posted here a while ago.
Antioch: if Every Body Dies is metal, feel free to submit over the next week, or I can cross off the list if it's not.
Paganius: when you decide, Moondaze can either be added or black listed.

I believe it's metal enough, yes. I'd say: "Death Metal/Grindcore/Crust" or something. If ThStealth wants to submit the band, he can. If not, I will.

Needs research. - Requiem
Location: Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque Country, Spain
Genre: Heavy Metal

At some point had these members:
Javier Rojo
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ojo/313209
Iñaki Bengoa
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ngoa/57776
Manolo González
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 1lez/97035

The band included two songs (“Carne de cañón” and “Ley de Guerra”) at “Rock & Metal Gasteiz” tape (1986). Some of the recordings in that tape came from previous demos by those bands, so it’s likely that’s the case for this one, too. The style is pretty standard heavy metal with some hard rock leanings, based on these two tracks. In case anyone finds a proof of existence of that sole demo, I have those two .mp3 files.

Added. - Lapiedra
Spoiler: show
Location: Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque Country, Spain
Genre: Heavy Metal

"Missing link” band between Piruleta de Hormigón and BO2. The band lasted from 1984 to 1986. Known members:
Pedro Fernández - Drums
Mariano Romero - Guitars
Jesús María Domínguez - Vocals

Quite good heavy metal much akin BO2. They recorded a demo (1985) with, at least these 3 tracks:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dQ7RnKwSLY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytmgSj28-9E
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxP5Jct23_U

A proof of valid release is required.
