Hi to everyone

Due COVID-19 confinement I have been helping last months the site with the reports in my free time.
The amount of things you find out about is incredible. But one persistent thing it's: Proof = "I am in the band".
I don't know if this kind of "source/proof" it's valid (that is why I avoid solving these kind reports), but if there are not valid could be a good idea to put a reminder when opening a new report like «"I am in the band, write me an email..." or "I am the front man/manager/bassist/etc. band" is not a valid proof you should to provide a link/screenshot/photo where that information be declared by the band/member/label or your report/request will be discarded and ignored».
I don't know, something like that could be, maybe, useful to reduce the amount of non-proved reports.

Good idea. But I've seen a couple of mods just update/fix anything as indicated in those type of reports, whether it was filed by site's user or visitor, if there is no history about false claim or whitewashing attempt. I'd say if it doesn't smell fishy we can take that as a source/evidence, especially when they're kind enough to also providing email address or social media link for us to request some sort of confirmation. If it's just simply words, I'd reach out to the band's social media (Facebook most of the time) to get some clarification.
