Another day, another project from Max Cavalera. I was lookin' for a thread about this band but couldn't find one. Go Ahead And Die features Max's son Igor Amadeus Cavalera and Zach Coleman from Khemmis and Black Curse on drums.

Their debut album is out now and it's pretty good stuff. Kind of punky and raw with awesome production from Arthur Rizk. I really liked the last two albums from Cavalera Conspiracy. This one is slower but it sounds pretty bangin' to me.

What do you guys think?

Not blown away by the song itself, but it's pretty good still, and will check out the full record. :D

EDIT: Listened through the album, and I quite enjoy it.

If this is what's passing for good metal these days, maybe the genre does need to die… :ugh:

Keen on this band, do they live up to early Sepultura or CC though would anyone say?

Not a fan of the music myself, but man is it wholesome as fuck and rad that Max jams out with his kids.

^pretty much agree with this. At times it sounds like early Sepultura, which is good- but it certainly wouldn't pass for one of the better early Sepultura tracks (especialy with that annoying "We interrupt this broadcast..." part in the video) But it's cool to see his son jamming with him on this. The music is overall decent but, mind definitely not blown.

I'm not thrilled, but at least it's better tha Roots era Sepultura and everything Soulfly. Still the name of the band and the bit where they yell "Gooooo! Go ahead and die!" is pretty fucking cringe.

That was pretty good. Wasn't going to pay attention to this band once I saw the silly name, didn't even know Cavalera was involved.

The vocals are so loud I can hear the piece of spinach stuck between Max's teeth.
