Thanks a ton, Zygmunt !! I think that the image shows the date of 1989, but please let me know if that is incorrect, as it's a little bit tough to read. The 2 YouTube songs sound great in my opinion. Cheers : )

Needs research. - Journey's End
Location: Unknown (possibly around the San Antonio, Texas, US area)
- not much info to go on here, but they are mentioned by the band Wyzard in a Snakepit magazine interview as an early favorite band of one of their members, alongside a few classic early-to-mid '80s metal bands. If they're anything like the others that are name-dropped, which were otherwise familiar, it would be great to hear them and find out if they've released anything. Since Wyzard were from San Antonio, it's possible that this was a local band to them since no information has been easily found so far. Have messaged the King Diamond tribute band that one of their members has been playing in more recently on Facebook several months ago, and got no response.

Needs research. - Koprophilia
Location: Bangladesh
Genre: Heavy Metal
Members: Shishir Ahmed

I've picked up this band from Baldadeath's searching list and started digging up some information. The band was formed in 1998 and released an album with an unknown title and some songs in V/A compilations:
https://thecorroseum.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5725

I was only able to trace one song by them, named "Ochena", in the "Agontuk" compilation, from 2003, which is available for listening here, at 50:06: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihUdc5tBKRE

According to the MusicBrainz site, they were also featured in another V/A compilation, from 2001, named "Chharpotro": https://musicbrainz.org/artist/8496149d ... 2fb26da65d

The only member I was able to trace is the Bengali musician Shishir Ahmed, who was their guitar player, between 1998-2001: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shishir_Ahmed
It seems like he's still active on the music industry, so, I guess we can contact him to gather some more information about this band and to find out their obscure full-length.

Additionally, there's this article in the Star Magazine that, along with the Corroseum's post, might be useful to acquire some historical glimpses of the band: http://archive.thedailystar.net/magazin ... rstory.htm

Finally, there are also some songs listed on a Last.fm page, but I'm really not familiar with it at all. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could check their profile on Last.fm and to see if their songs are still available for listening.
https://www.last.fm/pt/music/Koprophilia

(One final note: it's my first time posting in this thread and I hope I'm not doing anything wrong. If anything, please, let me know.)

Have just moved Koprophilia from the Baldadeath list to the main list - if enough info is found that they can be submitted, it would be nice to give Balda a chance to submit (usually the person who first brings them up here has a week to do so after enough information has been posted and their name is mentioned along with what has been found). If those lists are for everyone (?) or he is fine with you being the one to submit them when enough info is found, then feel free to do so. It seems like keeping the bands brought up in this thread open for anyone able to find enough info to submit would possibly get other people more motivated to research some of them, so if other people feel the same way and would like to have the band included on the site at the end of the day rather than being sure to be the one to take credit for having them added, it would be more a collaborative effort of working together. Anyone who doesn't mind and would like to work this way, you could mention it so that we know whose bands are open to research and add. Nice to have the post, MDL.

Hello. Yes, for sure, I don't mind anyone else to submit a band that I happen to dig some information about. It's surely better when it is a collaborative project we're all conceiving together. Also because I haven't been very active lately and I doubt I'll have some more free time in the few next months, but I do like to do some investigation. Thanks!

regarding the metal bands from Madascar, there is a publication in PDF format about the metal scene there. It is in French and contains info about several bands mentioned here, so who's fluent in french, shuld take a look:
http://biblio.univ-antananarivo.mg/pdfs ... AST_17.pdf
REgarding egraygore- I found one song andit's death metal, so it could make the basis for a posssble submission, together with the review of the album, which was posted earlier:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG4ZOC4KMD0
https://fr.allafrica.com/stories/201910240395.html
Update: More Egraygore songs:

Regarding the Lebanese bands in baldadeath list:
- Anonymous should be removed, the information posted regarding this band are actually related to the band Tenebra (post-Anonymous) who is already on MA.
- Cedra should be removed, not metal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ou3SxQC7N-Y | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-id97xrdwdE)
- Exceed should be removed, not metal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJZPvDNdOt8 | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXbhJqPL9zU)
- Opposites should be removed, this is pre-The Weeping Willow who is already on MA, no release
- Equation should be removed, not metal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFS1wPkCj6o | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ok2ld7s4fNk)
- Ghassan Rahbani Group / GRG should be removed, not metal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I037vdxdrDM | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5hJQiYtRXM | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK0qNQxtR2c) I am sure that all the other bands with Ghassan Rahbani can be also removed
- Fugitive Entity should be removed, not metal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnRSES_BXp4)

These songs come from a mostly metal local Kassel (Cassel), Germany compilation released this year, "Masters of Cassel, Vol. II" (98records). Some bands from it aren't on the site yet. Contains old and newly-recorded tracks. Not sure if these bands have valid releases or not.

Added. - Battlecry
Spoiler: show
Location: Nicholasville, Kentucky, United States of America
Listed genre: Heavy Metal
Band members: AJ Aubrey (vocals and bass), Ben Aubrey (lead guitar), Boone (rhythm guitar), Weinstock (harmony guitar), Dan Yoder (drums),
Years of activity: 1994-2011
Discography: Unexpected CD "single" (October 31, 2009)
Tracklist: "Unexpected", "Ready to Go", "The Device", "Everest", "Tower of Bone"
Official Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/watch/Battlecr ... e_internal

No relation to the White Nationalist Metal band from Kingston, New York.

Needs more samples. According to Wayback Machine captures of the band's official website, the Unexpected CD was self-released and sold at shows. Nothing has surfaced from this band online, but the few songs that appear on their Facebook page seem metallic enough. Might be worth adding if we can find the CD.

Rock/Pop - Airquick
Spoiler: show
Location: Belgium
Genre: Hard Rock / Heavy Metal (?)
Band members: Bert Maekelberghe, Dirk Vermeulen, Gino Kesteloot, Guido Grymonprez, Jan Delbeke, Pol Claeys, Stephan Logie
- this 1979 compilation track sounds fairly promising: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asDIsc5P6_I
They released 7" singles in 1981 and 1982: "Bottle / "You're Not Alone" and "Suzanne" / "No Substitute". Though I could see them likely being more rock than metal (and are listed as rock), it might be worth a listen to see if they could be added to the site.
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/artist/2750772-Airquick
(update - both records have been purchased)

Needs research. - Firststrike (a.k.a. Firststrike U.S.A. / First Strike)
Genre: Thrash Metal
Location: Santa Barbara, California (early); Arizona (later), United States
Band members (not sure which are still active, other than their new drummer) - Pauly Thomas, Scott Cummings, Nimar Silva, Christina Kelly, Steve Myers, Ruben Gonzales, Rick Mythiasin. New drummer: Matt Pimple. Some of these artists are in the database.
(while they have plenty of websites, I have yet to find a valid release. They mention re-recording and releasing music in the future, and have some really good-sounding recordings, new and old, in addition to a 1988 local Santa Barbara, California compilation appearance (w/ more than 6 bands). I tried sending a Facebook message and emailing today, to ask if they had a release).

- (update) - recorded a 5-song demo in 1989 that wasn't officially released. Have not made anything available for download, so they have no current release. Still an active band, so will keep this here as a reminder to occasionally check to see if they've released anything yet.

More from the NwoBHM lllist: Zygmunt has already listened to the band Stolen Thunder and describes them as not metal/hard rock earlier in this thread, so they can too be removed from the list.
Weeper/Heavy Pettin' member Gary Moat has a new hard rock band Burnt Out Wreck so can be recould be reached through their Facebook to provide more info about Weeper:
https://www.facebook.com/BurntOutWreck
Here's the Facebook of Alex Lohfink, so he culd be asked about the band CYron :
https://hi-in.facebook.com/alex.lohfink/about/
Hellden too can be removed from the NWOBHM list, sine they have already a separate listing in the thread with information about their demo.

Thanks. I sent a message to Alex. I'll keep Helden on there for now, because it has one L on the nwobhm list, and 2 L's (referenced this way at 2 sources) on the main list. Possible that it's two separate bands, but so far nothing has turned up for either with a few searches.

The following bands are from Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (unless noted - nearby), and were featured on the "Head Line" and "Head Line 2" compilation LPs (1992/'93). Based on audio and reviews of their songs there's a good chance that they could be added to the site if they have a release outside of these compilations. There's a good chance that the contact name given is a band member.

Thanks, will remove them from the list. Too bad, those original tracks are really good.

Needs research. - Incultor
Genre: Thrash Metal
Location: Colombia

Seems to have released a demo called "Existencia En Decadencia" in 2012.
It's listed on Metalarea with a photo of the CD-R:
http://metalarea.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=197522

Tracklist:
Spoiler: show
01. Intro 01:52
02. Existencia En Decadencia 04:24
03. Esquizofrenia 03:24
04. N.N. 04:40
05. N.N. (Live Bonus Track) 04:57
06. Aniquilacion (Live Bonus Track) 04:22

Here's some songs:
https://www.youtube.com/user/hellcob666/videos

Some useless links that belong to the band:
http://incultor.blogspot.com/
https://myspace.com/incultor
https://www.metal-archives.com/band/pre ... 3540362176

All it takes to get this accepted is proof this was a public release. It certainly looks like something that would be given out at gigs, but there's no proof it actually happened.

Koprophilia released at least 6-7 songs on various compilation. So far, the supposed album has been shelved or remains unreleased (at least, that's what I could understand from a physical cd collectors group on FB)

Band members: Paul - Vocals, Eric - Lead and Rhythm Guitars, Sutty - Bass, Keith. D.C. - Drums
- were originally a punk band called Panik Stricken. Their style and name changed by 1987. Not sure if they have any releases outside of the 2 compilations that they were on, "Rock Meets Metal Volume 1" and "A Vile Peace".
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ix75sJOuq9M "Lady in Black" song
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9WAZIcC2j0 ("All Is So Still", "Silent Attack" songs begin at 30:07)

Added. - Bedlam Choir

Activity period: late '80s/early '90s
- They were featured on 2 compilation LPs in 1990: the song "Find My Way" is on "Monochrome" (Mighty Sheffield Records). Corroseum write-up: "This is late 80's/early 90's Underground UK Steel at its absolute finest! Pure Power with killer harmonies and great hooks, reminding of Wild Pussy, Masque and even ShockSplit at times." The song "Eternal Battle" is on "Rubberoid" (Mighty Sheffield Records). Corroseum write-up: "A nice, epic stomp almost qualifying as Doom, but the thrash bit in the middle leaves a slightly disjointed impression. Good Underground Metal but not quite as great as their previous effort.") Known gigs were with Xentrix, Screaming Marionettes, Diva (Sheffield), Saxon.

Needs research. - Arkange
Location: France (not to be confused with the heavy metal band from Pau, Nouvelle-Aquitaine that is on the site)
Listed genre: Progressive Metal/Rock
Band members: Erick Ripoll, Gérard Ronvel, Serge Le Bihan, Viviane Le Bihan
Discography: 6-song demo tape, recorded in Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany, France (over a 7-hour driving distance from Pau, the band on the site - though their logos are somewhat similar, and a few of their members went by nicknames. Shouldn't be the same band.)

Needs research. - While the City Burns
Location: Japan
Listed genre: Grindcore

Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/artist/6484127- ... City-Burns
Live footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Gi0L_zp8nM
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Whilethecityburns

Hi again,

I stumbled across this Japanese band and noticed that they were not blacklisted, but I can't find their album or split. Based on the live footage I've seen I think they might be acceptable. Sounded kind of like Wormrot or something.

This is a trade/reference list of a lot of metal and some hard rock, 1979-1986 that's been online for a long time:
http://jayrobot.50megs.com/DEMOSOLD.HTM

Spoiler: show
I sent the person a message on FB to ask about tape trading. From that list, here are some titles that sound interesting and belong to bands that aren't on the site yet (I didn't check the blacklist for these bands yet, but will eventually). I'll just add these titles to the AMETHYST list, and retitle it AMETHYST & JAYROB LIST. Posting here as well, in case someone wants to look into any of these and submit if enough information can be found.

Deep Joy (UK) - demo #1/1983/25 mins
Dying Cult (USA) - demo #1/1983/5 mins
F.O.B. (FIN) - demo #1/1985/6 mins
Hackett (HOL) - demo/1983/5 mins
Kinarsey (USA) - demo #1 weak FM/1985/5 mins
Loch Ness (HOL) - Eat Ya Down/1983/12 mins
Mzale (USA) - demo #1/1985/5 mins
Rabbii Steele (USA) - demo #1/1983/11 mins
Shaft (AUS) - demo #1/1983/36 mins
Shakespear (SWE) - demo #1/1983/7 mins
The Rampage (USA) - demo #1/1985/5 mins
WSB (SWE) - demo #1/1984/40 mins
Wicked Impact (USA) - demo #1/1985/5 mins

From the website, if there are other titles that sound interesting that aren't on M.A., I can add them to the research list as well.

Mystery band/song that everyone seems to be stumped on. It has to be either a rare compilation track, or some really obscure demo like from the list above, 1988 or earlier.
