Agreed - thanks for finding the sample.

Everything from that list that was blacklisted (which wasn't much) has now been removed.

Witcher, you could submit Bramstocker / changed name to Brainstocker if you want to:
https://memoireneuve.bandcamp.com/album/bramstocker
https://myspace.com/brainstocker/photos

Arc En Ciel is rock. Condemned to Death - punk.

I remember clearly that the band during 90s released a demo tape but i need some proof because i don't own a copy of it.
In this italian review https://metalitalia.com/album/thyedge-promo-y2k/ you can read the name of the band and the reviewer said that the band was included on the compilation "Dawn of Gods III" (look at additional notes here https://www.metal-archives.com/labels/M ... tions/5674 ).

Needs research. - ThyEdge
Genre: Cyber Extreme Metal/Industrial Metal
Location: Messina, Sicily, Italy
Lineup: AsTh and DarkM
This is an evolution of the band Edge Of Mortality.
As you can read here https://metalitalia.com/album/thyedge-promo-y2k/ a demo was released but i need some sample to listen effectively if is it metal or not.

Regarding Edge Of Mortality, a guy into the metal scene of Messina told me that Claudio La Rosa https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... Rosa/72139 was the drummer.
If someone is interested can ask him (here the Facebook account https://www.facebook.com/claudio.larosa.188 , the mail of his studio [email protected] and the current band, La Stanza Della Nonna https://trovarobato.bandcamp.com/track/bruciare ) the demo and add the band. Sadly actually i am really busy so feel free to manage it.

The latest volume in the "Condenados al olvido" compilation series, part VIII includes full demos from 7 bands that aren't on the site yet, and 4 that are (also checked the blacklist, and none of them are on it). These releases contain bio/member information, photos, etc. and about half of them are obscure or "forgotten" Spanish metal bands, the others being hard rock.

Hi again,

This band features members from a couple of listed bands on here and it sounded pretty metal based on the samples I could find. I haven't been able to find a download or a stream for their EP, so I figured I'd just post it here. Thanks!

Needs research. - Lejion
Genre: Death Metal?
Location: Houston, Texas (USA)

The band was active between 1996 and 2000 and contained Tim Hayes and Mark Clausen among others.

Shortly before they split up (or shortly after they split up?) they released a CD that contains their live recording of a gig they did at Cardi's (former club in Houston) in 2000.

CD was for sale on their homepage:
https://web.archive.org/web/20030320230 ... merch.html

Need samples.

Update: Contacted Mark.

Restored. - Inpropagation
Spoiler: show
At 2008 an angry finnish tried to add a band but was rejected 'cause he didn't add no shit to prove the existence of the band.

viewtopic.php?f=27&t=39064&start=2520

Here is the only proof I got from 'em:

http://www.mikseri.net/artists/inpropagation.100163.php

From a demo they made called "Perverted Poetry Concerning the Flesh" I may suppose.

I saw D'Gruve several times. They were a Christian Metal band. Clearly metal complete with Drop D guitar riffs. I have the CD they were working on when they broke up. Not sure if ok to share an MP3 cut from it. They broke up and the CD never got finished/released.

I edited this post with a link of an upload I just did to YouTube with a song from the cassette and CD,

"Mr. Plum's Love Tribe" https://youtu.be/BESMziKdINI
"Strength To Rise" https://youtu.be/jg7woUK7bXU

Thanks for the post, BLKnight. Yes, if you'd like to send a personal message to the user Witcher (see the post above yours) with a link to D'Gruve's music, he could listen and submit this band. It looks like there was a demo release that had been for sale on eBay. By hearing their music, it could be determined what they sound like despite not finishing that particular recrording. Appreciate you helping out with information about them!

Thanks for clarifying that, BlackFlag. A local friend of mine usually stocks that compilation series in his distro - should be able to grab a copy of the CD pretty soon, which hopefully would mention the tape being released or show a photo of it in the bio section.

Needs research. - Xavier
Location: United States
Genre: Heavy/Speed Metal
Band members: Unknown
- pretty good instrumental demo from 1985 that someone sent me mp3s of, titled "Total Damnation". Would like to find out more about the band. This sounds like a rehearsal tape that is a work-in-progress, since the vocals are very quiet or absent in a lot of places - would be surprised to learn that it was an official release. Track listing: Intro/ Night Rider/ Knightwatch/ Running from Night/ Get Crazy.

(update May 31, 2022 - found this on YouTube, and have confirmed with the bassist that it isn't the same band, or related in any way) -

I recently got a copy of the 1993 Japanese compilation CD ‘From Zero’ from Explosion Works (see https://www.discogs.com/Various-From-Ze ... e/17041938) and the bands on it (all Japanese) appear to be mostly metal (they’re listed as such at Discogs, for what that is worth!). Two are already listed here (Red House: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Re ... 3540294272 and Jack Hammer: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ja ... 3540476534) but the remaining five are not. None of them appear to be black-listed. Need evidence of some kind of valid release though, as there’s only invalid compilations at Discogs. Obviously this is the (mostly) pre-internet era, so probably no websites, but perhaps someone has something they put out or seen it on sale somewhere etc.:

Needs research. - Dog Eat Dog
Genre: Heavy Metal/Hard Rock (?)
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/artist/8628819-Dog-Eat-Dog-8

Added. - Quarterpass
Spoiler: show

Needs research. - The Seekers After Truth
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/artist/8628813- ... fter-Truth
Genre: Heavy Metal/Hard Rock (?)
A bit doubtful about this one as they may be more Rock. Logo says ‘Seekers’ not ‘Seeker’ BTW.

Needs research. - Zero Gravity
Genre: Heavy Metal (?)
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/artist/4560851-Zero-Gravity-10
Note there are at least a couple of (later) metal or rock bands also called Zero Gravity in Japan.

Regarding Harbinger (Australia), the only song they recorded was featured on 2 compilation CDs with more than 6 bands. I will cross them off of the list.
https://sinkillerreviews.blogspot.com/2 ... istic.html
(translated to English: Harbinger was a great classic Heavy Metal band. I really enjoyed the time they were here in 1994 recording The End Is Near. I really wanted to sign them. But it turns out The End Is Near is the only song they had recorded before they split up. When I returned from the US in 1995 after recording Primitive Rhythm Machine, I was looking for a new guitarist for Mortification. I contacted the Harbinger guitarist to see if he wanted to join Mort, before talking to anyone else. He is a great guitarist.! But he didn't want to move to Melbourne, leave his home and work in Sydney. Soon after, at age 18, Lincoln Bowen joined Keith Bannister and me on guitar.)

Needs research. - Project
Genre: Melodic Metal?
Location: Oulu, Finland

According to Isten's Finnish Metal guide, this was a "melodic scandinavian metal band" that released a self-titled MCD in 1993 and later evolved into Myon:
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Myon/10745

Source:
http://www.isten.net/guide/g_p.html

Absolutely horribly to google this band...
Needs samples and maybe some more solid proof it was released.

Needs research. - Mortifer
Genre: Thrash?
Location: Kokkola, Keski-Pohjanmaa (Finland)

According to Isten's Guide on Finnish Metal they released a 7'' split EP with Sarcastic in the 90s
http://www.isten.net/guide/g_s.html

Here's the discogs entry:
https://www.discogs.com/Sarcastic-15-Mo ... e/12329070

Mortifer's logo doesn't match with any entry on MA, so they need research.

[Edit: found a link with lineup info on Mortifer anno 1992:
http://www.keikalla.net/1990-luku/
Hannu Hollström – kitara
Teemu Kotila – basso ja laulu
Tero Moilanen – rummut
Tapani Ahonen – kitara ]

Sarcastic was formerly known as Masacre:
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Masacre/39516
- (YouTube clip found. Will be added asap) -Spooky

Lacks more info on the release and samples.

BTW, I finished going through Isten's guide, got a few more bands in personal research which will be posted here if I can't find things myself.
Just telling you so you don't feel the need to search for bands in the guide yourself.

Needs research. - The End
Listed genre: Christian Thrash Metal
Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, US
Release: "Absentia" cassette (1995)
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/The-End-Absentia/master/2293534
- note: a band called The End from the US is blacklisted (core). Not sure if it could be this one.

If anyone feels like it, all of the bands in this thread could be checked against the blacklist, the bands on the site, and if you are a mod, in deleted bands/drafts (possible that there could be some additional info if they've been submitted but not accepted before, or been already determined not to be a metal band).
