Added. - Mardrom
Spoiler: show
Location: Sweden (different band than is listed on the site)
Listed genre: Heavy Metal
Band members: Venomena (vocals), Nick N. (guitars), Erik Klinga (guitars), Eddie Engine (bass), T. Yliniemi (drums)
Discography: at least 2 demos released the year that they formed, 2001. The second one is listed on Discogs (3 songs, CD-R; track listing: Torture Chamber/ Dance of the Dead/ Burn the Church)
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/1650438 ... B6m-Demo-2
- there is a bio in Swedish that can be read in the images here. Their contact email address 21 years ago was: [email protected]

Needs research - Skill
Location: Stockach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Listed genre: Heavy Metal
Band member: Oswin Lattner (most recently or currently playing with The Clunkers: https://theclunkers.de/band . They have contact information on the site. Also played in Wolfsbrut and DOH.)
Discography: Demo 1984 (cassette, 4 songs)
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/11380175-Skill-Same
- I sent a message through The Clunkers homepage. Didn't provide any audio from this old tape, but said that they're called The Clunkers now. Maybe one or more of the other members were part of Skill.
https://www.facebook.com/theclunkers/

Not officially released - Thunderbolt
Spoiler: show
Location: Belgium
Genre: Heavy Metal
Band members: 2 current members of FireForce ( https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Fi ... 3540310937 ), among others (see Facebook bio)
Discography: undated cassette on Discogs - though not sure about the validity of it. The uploader is a solid contributor who is also from Belgium, but it could use some further verification of authenticity.
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/1672329 ... rbolt-Demo
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Thunderboltbelgium/
Den of Iniquity: http://users.telenet.be/denofiniquitybe/thunderbolt.htm ("never recorded a proper demo, let alone any vinyl. Although several songs have been recorded on an ordinary tape recorder during rehearsals").
- I've sent a message to FireForce's facebook page to inquire. Note: some incorrect information out there lists this as being a German band.

Needs research - S.P.Q.R.
Location: Munich, Bavaria, Germany
Listed genre: Heavy Metal/Hard Rock
Band members: see StormHammer M.A. page - past bands
Discography: "Metal Rendezvouz" demo (cassette, year unknown)
- pre-Stormhammer ( https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/StormHammer/2923 ). The 3 songs on this tape were re-recorded on "Fireball". They're not terribly metal, though. It's possible that these earlier versions are different.
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/8242359 ... zvouz-Demo
Re-recorded songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQfkj93zu04
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip_3UESoWi8

pre-Necrite band ( https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ne ... iscography ). It was in their discography. While the band name isn't listed on the artwork, according to their listed timeline and biography on their page, this was released when they were called "Frozen Shade".

Francisco Galvan (bass) https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... van/712625
Vale Calzada (drums, vocals) https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ada/712623
José Pacheco (lead guitars) https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... eco/712624

Discography: "Demo", from 2017 or earlier. All entries above, apart from Lucia, are attached to that release.

That demo only contains one song, I'd say this was just a random demo track they recorded, nothing rock-solid.

Franco Hammett (rhythm guitars) https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ett/507652
Rulo Mendez (drums) https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... dez/507651

Discography: "Resistencia", from 2013 or earlier. All entries were attached to that release. Alejandro is the only traceable member from this band, as his fb account is the only one which is still active. See his page on MA to confer it.

Looks like they renamed that one to "DEMO1", it also uses their logo as artwork and contains two songs... eh. Not sure. All other links are dead.

Carlos Ville (keyboard, accordion) https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... lle/836222

Discography: "Nuestro Solemne Sueño", from 2020 or earlier.

That release is listed with its only song named "-" and a note that says "adding songs in progress", so that's not a finished release at all, it seems.

Should the 3 of these be deleted, then? We don't want to add bands to this massive list unless there is something fairly solid to go on.

If that's their destiny, then, I'd kindly suggest only to delete Torque and Animas. Our Solemn Dream's stuff appears to be quite recent and still under development and I could swear I've read that name somewhere, not too long ago. Maybe on a fb group or something, I'll ask there and see if there's anything new worth pursuing. I'll say something, then.
Thanks for checking out these bands!

Released a 7'' single in 1981, which is hard rock. They also recorded a heavier demo in 1982, but it is unknown if it was ever released: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPHc0A8guew If there is proof that the 1982 demo saw some sort of public distribution, then the band could be added.

Oh, sorry, I didn't notice that, I confess that I've only reminded about the list again now :oh shit:
But I'll be looking into some of them later on, there's probably something new that could've risen up about them more recently.

Regarding Disaster (CZE), the contributor on Discogs is an active user on this site, and runs the awesome Heavy Metal of Eastern Bloc channel on YouTube:
https://www.metal-archives.com/users/cermi%20cermak
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZD-C7 ... oN8K2c_B4w
https://heavymetalrarities.com/forum/vi ... 75&t=37436 (alternate way to contact, on HMR forum - see first post)

There are a lot of other bands featured on his YouTube channel that I posted about in this thread from December 15-27 - just needing proof of release, as the music is definitely metal.
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=104654&start=3080
(+ 1 last here) - viewtopic.php?p=3013539#p3013539
- if he can provide enough info or it's found elsewhere, feel free to submit any of them.

Haha. It was listed on eBay as Cubed - I didn't have a close look at the logo. Will cross off the list, thanks.

Ninten: Azmodes found the 2 songs by String Eyes, and they played rock. Crossing them off as well.

Some newly-reviewed compilations at The Corroseum that feature 6 bands or less in physical format (so could therefore be added based on their appearances here, pending metalness). The few song titles that I typed in were easy to find on YouTube. It looks like a lot of the bands have one heavy metal track and one ballad. Taking these songs and whatever other discography they have into consideration, some could possibly be added:

- haven't really looked through or listened, but noticed that they're not on the site, and at a glance looks like it could have potential to be added if there is a release.

80s band, this is the only info I can find:

The reverse of the 2nd photo says "Rehearsals" so there could be some rehearsal tape at least?

Each of these bands from Japan had a song featured on the 1994 "Kill 'em All Fakin' Metals" compilation CD (1994), which was later released digitally. Other than the band Zero Gravity (which Billm99uk has posted about here), these are the only two from volumes 1 and 2 of this compilation series that aren't on the site yet. Samples of both bands available here in a digital version of the compilation:
https://music.apple.com/jp/album/1506591893?app=itunes

Needs research. - Power Slam
Location: Japan
Genre: Thrash/Heavy Metal
Song: "Down Into the Hell"

Needs research. - Royal Black
Location: Japan
Genre: Heavy/Thrash Metal
Song: "Grief"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Needs research. - SNM
Location: New York, US (very likely from the Buffalo area)
Genre: Thrash Metal (?)
Band members: Bill Kos ( https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Bill_Kos/859337 ), Dennis John Glinski ( https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... nski/43185 )
- Discography: Unknown. 2 known band members played in some high-quality metal bands. This was likely a band from the late '80s/early '90s, but not certain of that. Seems not to be the band SNM (Show No Mercy) on the site, from Long Island, NY.

Rock. - Teazer
Spoiler: show
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Genre: Rock (?), Melodic Heavy Metal (?)
Band members: Danny Zellars - Bass, Vocals (backing), Michael Wallis - Drums, Percussion, Vocals (backing), Matthew Mayle - Guitars, Vocals (backing), Walter Smith -Vocals, Steve Howell - Unknown (ex-Cartunes, ex-Hokum, ex-Southern National)
Discography: Demo 1992 (cassette, 4 songs)
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/18179962-Teazer-Teazer
Included on this glam/sleaze rock Facebook page - looks like they have an original copy, if anyone wants to ask them for samples: https://www.facebook.com/BubblegumGlamP ... eRarities/
- Just deleted this one from the site. Willing to bet that it is glam rock based on all available information. Was added by a banned user who has added a ton of rock to M.A. Band was accepted to the site in '08 back when a lot of non-metal was getting passed through, unchecked. The old scan of this tape that had been available had a song title covered up, so user just put the band's name in as the other track title. Songs listed out of order. Year was listed as 1988 (guesswork), and it is actually from 1992.
- (update Feb. 26, '22) - 1 song on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn9lNskG0-A&t=97s . To me it sounds more rock than metal. Will leave this active for now just in case, though.

Released a demo-tape Keys of Steel in 1986. Ex-guitarist Bruno Levesque submitted this to the queue, but he didn't provide any samples or descriptions. I've asked him for actual music, but posting this here in case he never responds.

Tracklist:
Side A
1. Prélude
2. Echoes of Nightmare
3. Keys of Steel
Side B
4. On Through Your Lies
5. Screaming in the Night

There is a list of bands thanked in the Blackened "So Real..." 1992 demo tape, which are mostly on the site already. There are a few interesting-sounding names that aren't, which may be worth looking into. These bands are mostly from or nearby Turin, Piedmont, Italy, active in the early '90s.

@Sacroculto: The issue here seems to always have been releases; no proof for anything physical nor any valid download options. Even BlackFlag had a draft for them, but recently deleted it. Bad sign if not even he could find anything.

There is a total of four deleted pages in the deletion history, but none go that far back. It's entirely possible that the band was submitted before that and they just over-eagerly linked the pending draft on their FB. I've often seen bands do that.

Added. - Holy War
Spoiler: show
Location: France (Paris, Île-de-France)
Genre: Speed/Thrash Metal
Discography: "Captured by Hellish Storm" single (2021, digital)

https://holywar1.bandcamp.com/
https://www.facebook.com/MayhemicSpeedMetal/

The single does not suffice according to our guidelines. The bio does mention "[r]ecording rehearsal tapes", so that's worth looking into for distribution.

Spoiler: show
Holy War is initially hailing from Rennes, Brittany, France in late 1985, and early 1986. Recording rehearsal tapes and playing few gigs in his hometown, they split up around 1988 before they could make any official recording. Necrovorator (bassist and former singer of the band) now located in Paris is still there to pay tribute and complete the band’s history.

Holy War plays evil fast metal like the first Sodom, Slayer, Destruction, Bathory & the Almighty Venom. A new line up and recordings are soon to be announced.
