Sounded like it had enough melodeath type riffs to me, but I can't find much info on the band or anything about this EP having a valid release.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WitVemEqo_M

This was all I could find:
https://web.archive.org/web/20110708080 ... edbyangels
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ung/208584
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ans/208587
https://instagram.com/mark_evansdrummer ... MyMTA2M2Y=
https://www.facebook.com/SamarrabandOH

Contact Mark Evans through his personal IG or finally through the FB of his most recent band, if you want. I hope all this helps you ☺️❤️

Thanks! Yeah that would probably be the best thing to do. I'll see if I can contact him.

Released a demo in 2013 as announced here:

One video description claims it was a "cd demo".

Added. - Thristana
Spoiler: show
Genre: Symphonic Metal
Location: Hungary

First of all, I think this might be ready to submit, due to this band being relatively known and commented about on certain underground circles and I would like to get the mod's feedback on this.

They're the first incarnation of this band: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/So ... 3540372038

[spoiler]They've released an EP called "Devil's Destiny" in 2012 and it was available for purchasing and downloading through their now deceased Soundcloud and Reverbnation page (the latter doesn't appear on archives.org, but SC does and the download button is still there, even though it doesn't work anymore):
https://awesomemetalbands.com/forum/sho ... ny-EP-2012

^ Also offers a brief description of their music:

"Symphonic metal with classical female vocals and progressive elements. The base fo the genre is made up by the symphony which is sounded by the keyboards, the choirs and the orchestral elements. This is accompanied by the guitars and the drums. The female tones sometimes are mixed with male vocals which is giving harder sounding for the melodic and classical female phrases."

A similar description of the above in here, in Hungarian:
https://www.rockbook.hu/zenekar/thristana

A review in English:
http://www.twoguysmetalreviews.com/2012 ... stana.html

"Thristana is a really cool symphonic prog band who know how to rock. Their music is very similar to that of bands like Nightwish and Amberian Dawn, yet they give it their own twist. They have a sound that is very professional and quite beautiful. The guitar work is filled with cool rhythms and heavy arrangements. You sense a major Nightwish influence in a lot of the riffs. They have the same 5/4 symph power metal magic. Yet the proggy edge of the song makes them a bit more unique. The bass playing is very heavy and adds a surprising amount of meat to the music. In particular I like the bass playing on Devils Destiny which somehow really gets to me. The drumming is pretty well executed and does a great job of capturing the atmosphere on the more symphonic bits. The piano is a crucial part of this group. It just adds so much power and magic that this band would be almost nowhere without it. It creates some beautiful bridges and has quite a few stellar lead lines. Finally, this bands' singer is brilliant. She has a beautiful classical voice that fits in perfectly with the music. I really like the overall mix too and it really makes everything come across crystal clear. In conclusion, Thristana is a lot of fun and a true symph metal experience. Check them out!"
What do you think?

https://www.truemetal.org/wargods/122000.htm#creanna

90% sure it was released as CD, but needing the definite evidence.

(Paganius1) - I found their old homepage with lineup info + bio:
https://web.archive.org/web/20020602002 ... ontakt.htm
https://web.archive.org/web/20020611093 ... e/band.htm

In the bio under "August-Dezember 2000" it says:
"After many problems we finally released our Demo-CD."

It's not much, but it's all I can get from their website. Apparently their songs used to be on mp3.de, but good luck finding that.

MDL, I'd say go ahead and submit Thristana with all of the info that you have, and a couple of mods could weigh in to decide if it's enough. I'll add them to the main list just in case, which is now updated up to this point ----------------------------
Thanks.

Great, PaganiusI. Thank you! I'll take a look.

Another "almost" case:

Needs research. - Kaiten
Location: Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia
Genre: Groove/Thrash Metal
Active 1995-1998
Bio & audio files:
https://soundcloud.com/kaitenaus
https://myspace.com/kaitenoz

A video with some footage (includes a studio photo and a logo at the end of the video):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FThlAGPM7f0

And a full channel with old rehearsal videos:
https://www.youtube.com/user/ElmacfromMelmac/videos

They seem to have released a demo tape in 1995:
"...after a number of very successful performances it was decided that a 4 track demo tape would be recorded. Featuring 4 original songs & recorded completely live in 12 hours (including set-up time) with a colleague's makeshift put together 12 track analog studio set-up in an old warehouse, the demo "Only One" was not only welcomed with open arms by the local metal scene, it was well recieved thooughout the music community & paved the way for more shows to come....."

Cannot find the tracklist, but it contained "Our Time", "Only One", "Mind Games" and "Cerebral Psycho". BTW, all the tracks are available to download at SoundCloud; lyrics are available at every track's page. Since the tracklist order is not provided (which would grant a legitimate digital release), having a photo of the tape would be great.

According to Discogs, released one single in 1979. The song available online, "People", sounds similar to Bang and Blast. In search of the A side, "Hard Times". Thanks!

I have acquired a copy and should be receiving it soon. Let's see if the A-side delivers.

Needs research. - Чёрная вдова (a.k.a. Chernaya vdova)
Location: Krasnodar, Russia
Genre: Heavy Metal
Band members: Yura Volkov - vocals, Vitaly Petrosyan - guitar, Yura Pondelov - guitar, Yura Sladkov - bass, Kostya Omelchak - drums
- they did a 6-song recording in 1995: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V52p5KXNc7U
Seeking release info. Not to be confused with the other band by this name on the site. None of the band members seem to be listed on M.A. currently.

My source tells me they released a live CD in 2012 called "Live Pantasso":
Spoiler: show

1. Intro
2. Ostaria Nera
3. Non Ne Posso Più
4. Omani Dell'Acqua
5. Glam De Merda
6. Vien A Bevare....
7. Satana Beve il Succo di....
8. No Ghe Xera Niente
9. Animalans
10. Papacidio
11. Fanculo Al Kebab
12. Va' In Mona

No idea how they distributed it or anything.

Here's their MySpace:
https://myspace.com/ostarianeraofficial

and a short sample:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlFqI1CC33E

They also played at this fest, I guess:

Needs a couple more samples and something more solid than random pic of a slimcase without context.

Regarding Tempered Steel, one not listed on the site that have at least one demo out had ex-Kery Doll members the Lawton brothers. Maybe the unknown cassette is from this California band. Band photo and this info sourced from World Metal Report #2 'zine.

Rock. - Aries
Spoiler: show
Location: US (Iowa / Florida)
- review in Revelation #3 (1991)
https://thecorroseum.org/fanzines/revelation-03.php
Translation: "The band was still a female band when the said tape was recorded, until they changed a few different line-ups! lived through. As a result, a male guitarist and bassist and a female drummer were added. The demo itself is pretty good and worth owning not just for the re-recordable cassette. When I saw the new line-up live, I was a little disoriented about their musical direction. They seem to have moved from melodic heaviness to heavier metal. Highlights on the tape are vocalist Kathryn Etzel's penetrating vocals and Deana Rigg's innovative guitar work. More info: ARIES c/o Gig Marit (Attn. Grina), 1509 S: Andrews Ave., Ft. Lauderdale, Fl 33316 (U.S.A.), $5 + postage"
- Des Moines, Iowa newspaper article from October '90 that mentions the band (I don't have access to see the whole article) - https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/127894534/ - name of member Kathryn Etzel is here, so it is the same band despite being from a state far from Florida, where they were located by the following year.

Added. - With Death Comes Despair (United States, Blackened Death Metal)

A band from Virginia, probably Richmond. Formed by former members of a hardcore/metalcore band that existed during the late '90s called Forefront, they played a sort of blackened death metal and seemingly recorded a 15-minute demo with some 4 or 5 songs, probably around the early 2000s. At some point they had their music on mp3.com, but there's nothing other than their name in the mp3.com Skeleton Archive on archive.org, since their page hasn't been archived.

I was able to find their recordings uploaded to Soundcloud by one of the band's members, and I'm currently trying to contact any of them to get any potential information about the release itself, if it was ever released to begin with. All research was fruitless and there seems to be no remnants or information of the band anywhere, other than that Soundcloud link from which I got all the information.

With Death Comes Despair got accepted into the site, so it can be removed from the main list.

Restored. - Crackdown
Spoiler: show
Location: Portugal
Genre: Nu-Metal. Possibly Groove Metal on the '96 demo (?)
Band members: Nuno (vocals), https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ruz/201567 ,
other 3 members can be found within this band's line-up: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Mo ... nds/101536
Discography: "Blame" (1997) demo is nu-metal, as is the band that they became, Str@ain. They released one demo, "Against the Rules" (5 songs) that audio can't be found for. Have moved them from the site to here, as it's unlikely that they went from playing legitimate metal to what they were playing on "Blame" a year later. One of the songs on the first demo, "Hidden Propaganda" is also on the 1997 "Promúsica 9" compilation CD.

(note: none of these bands are blacklisted, or on the site already - have checked fully for the possibility of both instances. Metal Archives has other UK bands with the same name as some here, and some also play NWOBHM - have made notes on the site to indicate this on all of the pages where it would apply to the ones on this list with the same name).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RENEGADE (Liverpool) – 1981 - feat; Raphael Charles (gtr) (later Savage Lucy, Rough Justice), Lee Duplon (bass) (later Savage Lucy, Rough Justice), Mick Marino (drms) (later Savage Lucy).
RENEGADE (possibly same as above) - https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php? ... 3443966256 . Active 1980-'83. Recorded a 2-song demo, "Bringing the Hammer Down" / "Fighting Never Ends".

I think they were two different bands with the same name after all.
Also Rengede who did a demo with two songs ("Bringing the Hammer Down"/ Fighting Never Ends") has nothing to do with the bands listed here: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Renegade/128356

The situation is similar with Harlequin (two different bands)
