My best friend is a huge Children of Bodom fan and he just recommended a new band called Wretchedness that is heavily inspired by COB. Just curious what other bands out there sound very similar? My friend and I have both typically enjoyed them over the years so i wouldnt mind digging alittle deeper into similar bands and then be able to recommend some to him as well.

Not sure if you are familiar with any of these but off the top of my head I can think of Norther, Kalmah, Destroy Destroy Destroy, and early Blood Stain Child. There also is that Bodom After Midnight EP. You also might like the first Wintersun album.
