There's a plagiarism claim for Omega (Mexico) - haven't checked it out yet.
https://www.metal-archives.com/report/v ... 1/show/all[/quote]

I did the report as guest, just to add something more to it, the guy plagiarized "Altars" by The Nest too. I guess the track is not included on the band's EP, tho; anyway, just another point to be suspicious. Again, the YouTube app shows the original track when you check the description.

Thanks. Here is what's pending attention at the moment:

Simulation Defect - since I accepted it, going to wait for other moderator's opinions. It still sounded okay to me after another listen, but if the consensus is for deletion that's totally fine here.

GraveWish, I haven't heard anything back from the August 28th post where I asked for clarification, but could take care of changing the pages to the new name if there is a moderator that can verify that it should be done.

Thanks for the YouTube link. Definitely vote for the deletion of Hämatom if that's their 'most metal' output. Anyone familiar with their discography that could suggest an album that might be passable to remain on the site? Have asked for wojty's opinion, as a dependable user who added them to the site and responds to messages.

Quorthallis went through Hämatom's discography (band brought up in here recently), and they had some metal releases. Genre is being changed, but that one's dealt with.

Deleted Bly's Jinx (US) - there's disagreement about their style, which was described as thrash metal in the Rusted Metal book. Further research indicated that they may have been more of a hard rock band with funk elements. Samples needed (moving to research thread).

Deleted Rule 43 (Ger) - had been described as thrash metal with a Voivod influence in a 'zine. Seems to be much more on the punk end, no thrash but can understand the Voivod comparison in a way.

Moved Fratura Exposta (Brazil) to research thread - needs samples.
Moved Prowler (Berlin, Ger) to research thread as well - would be better to get samples for this entry.

Bill Skins Filth - old school metalcore that seems to be more dabbled in old school hardcore than metal. they have post-hardcore/emoviolence vibes and likely have more in common with Converge or Zao than Prayer for Cleansing / Aftershock / Dead to Fall etc

The band Almanacra, metalcore from Slovakia, was removed because it doesn't have enough valid releases, one of their singles shares the cover with their upcoming album.

Most of this album is chugging riffs, therefore by metal archives standards Jungle Rot is actually a hardcore band and need to be removed

Haven't heard the Jungle Rot album, but bands don't get removed by putting out a non-metal album. They get accepted based on one or more releases.

I think it was an attempt at being funny, to be honest.

So I noticed this band Ritual of Torment seemed familiar and it looks like their only album is just their earlier album under the name Ritual, Trials of Torment, with a different track listing. Can these be merged? Seems weird to have what amounts to the same album under two different band names, especially given that's their only release under the Ritual of Torment moniker. Thanks!
