Needs research. - Egodeth
Genre: Thrash Metal
- pretty lame and generic newer band, but metal. "Demo EP" coming soon, according to the YouTube channel.

Needs research. - Phantomy
Location: Finland
Genre: Heavy Metal/Hard Rock
- another new band with original music available stream-only right now. Didn't listen thoroughly, but what I heard would be okay for the site.

Regarding Bromothymol (France), would anybody who knows French be able to watch this 3-minute interview and see if there is any mention about their 1984 cassette release?

The '84 demo was recorded (and very likely released) one year before this interview. On the band's ReverbNation page and on France Metal Museum it's mentioned that the band is looking for the tape, and to contact if you have it (which to me means that it was physically released - they apparently got a copy, too, as it is uploaded on ReverbNation with the same track listing shown on the release at France Metal Museum, a very detailed and accurate webpage.)
I tried contacting someone else from the band today to ask if it was officially released. The first 2 band members that I messaged didn't get back to me.

I checked the short Bromothymol interview. There is no mention of any cassette tape, but starting around 1:10 the interviewer asks the musician about a videoclip made "conjointly to a 45 rpm EP, your first". The guy answers "yes, to release a 45 rpm, you need a lot of advertising, and a videoclip is the best support we can have". The way it's presented, it seems like the EP was already released, but it never gets more precise than that. That's all the information there is about a potential release, really - the rest of the video is about the different ways to promote the local rock (sic) scene, videoclips, live shows etc.

Il n'y a pas d'EP 45T, car le groupe a splité juste avant.

Bought the Slothead demo. The Mortal Mess singer used to hang out here a bit.

Bought the Daze of Gray demo, as well.

I'll ask around with my Chicago contacts of older guys and see what I can find out about After Death.

Edit:

The Thunder's Call demo is Heavy/Power Metal (except for track 2 (hard rock)); do you need me to rip it for you, Spooky?

Awesome, GrimW - thanks for picking those up!

Needs research. - Inner Strength
Location: New York? Released by a Freeport, New York label, Star Records & Productions Company (not yet completely ruled out the possibility of it being an early release of https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/In ... ength/2086 during the time that they were playing crossover - but haven't found anything online yet to confirm. There's a song on this, "Dreaming of Reality", and the M.A. band has a lot of references to dreams in lyrics and song titles).
Genre: Thrash Metal/Crossover (owner says it sounds like Leeway)
Discography: "Inner Strength" vinyl EP (year unknown; track listing: Hate Takes Place/ Surrender Your Mind/ Living in a Mystery/ Dreaming of Reality/ King of Damnation)
Photo: https://imgur.com/y9rMOYs
(sent a message to the M.A.-listed Inner Strength bassist, Justin about it, member since 1990, and he says it's not the same band.)

Not metal. - Fantasy

Cover art looks metal, but judging by song titles can be mellow hard rock:

(BlackFlag: Yes, it's Spain. The word "contacte" is writen in Catalan and the mail shown was a IEEC one (Catalan Institute of Spatial Studies) when having an e-mail account was not that common, so the project was most likely based in the area of Barcelona. I've googled the surname Barriga (it means "belly" but it's a common surname) plus IEEC and found some late 90s documents in pdf citing a scholar named Josep J. Barriga / Josep Jeroni Barriga. He was in astronomy, so googling beyond alternate language versions of his name, he could be Dr. José Jerónimo Barriga Carrasco. Unfortunately, I can't find any trace of him after 2006.)

Needs research. - Dustbin
Location: Germany (recorded in Bremen, the city that they were probably from)
Genre: Death Metal (?)
Band members: Ben R. (vocals, guitars), G. Gore (drums), Matze (bass)
They did a split with Interitus Dei (Bremen, Germany death metal band) in 1991. Song titles would suggest death metal, grindcore, and/or thrash metal:
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/I ... in/1108514
https://www.musik-sammler.de/release/in ... pe-402010/
- their part of the split was "Punish Your Ears", and the tape label for their side says "In Dust We Trust".

I've contacted the owner on m-s.de. Maybe they have a digital rip or can at least describe the music to me.

Some underground German metal (alleged, according to subtitle of compilation. Vol. 2 was 4 for 4 M.A. material). Circa 1994. The bands here are featured on "The Rising Generation Vol. 1" compilation (more than 6 bands, by Rub a Dub / Rub-a-Dub).

Some bands from Japanese Heavy Metal compilations:

Added. - Welrod
Spoiler: show
https://www.discogs.com/release/11298385-Various-Earthquake-AGM-Vol2
All bands on Vols 1&2 but this one and Steel Cast are on the site and I’ve just submitted Steel Cast. Welrod seems eligible enough from the track ‘Red Light Clock Tower’ but I have no evidence of any valid releases. Website (http://welrod.web.fc2.com/) is dead and nothing useful archived.

1982 split “Metal on Metal: Earthquake! Kyushu Heavy Metal Declares War!” contains four bands from the Japanese island of Kyushu.
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/J ... 21/1105673

I’ve added Jerusalem (Fukuoka) and Roxanne is already blacklisted but these two are unlisted:

Needs research. - Blister
Needs research. - Death Person

I believe this tape mostly exists as a just as a rip these days. It’s sometimes called ‘Metal on Metal: Fukuoka Japan” but I believe I have the correct full title above. Track list here: https://imgur.com/iMFZgrS
Perhaps someone here has the rip? I presume Roxanne’s sole demo (https://youtu.be/FV0SbinpWPY) was a bit too hard rock oriented, but the tracks here may allow reconsideration.

Awesome, cheers! I'd pick up stuff like that myself, but shipping and customs fees can get pretty silly.

A cheap copy showed up on Discogs, shipping from the US.

Strange transaction. The seller actually sent me three copies of this demo for some reason.

Not metal, though. The first track is, kind of reminded me of something Trouble would do if they sucked. The rest is like 60s rock sort of stuff and one industrial track.
