In particular, similar in sound to Volume I or Judgement of the Dead.

I already know of stuff like Trouble, Witchfinder General, Manilla Road and Magic Circle that kind of come close, I guess I'm really looking for someone who sounds like old Terry Jones (really like how the vocals are mixed in Judgement of the Dead)

Some of the songs on The Wizar'd's latest album Subterranean Exile really sound like Pagan Altar, complete with Terry Jones-ish vocals.

Ritual - Widow

Also from the UK and active at the same time as Pagan Altar. Ritual put out "Widow" in 1983 but didn't release a follow-up until "Valley Of The Kings " in '93. Incredible quitar work and haunting songwriting, which like Pagan Altar is very much inspired by the occult. Thoroughly recommended.

I just listened to this album for the first time and it's really good. Thanks for the rec.
