Nice find. I've boosted the volume and it's metal. Prog, power and/or heavy. Took the liberty of adding it.

Yeah, though only 3 songs from that album are on youtube, so it might still be acceptable heavy metal/hard rock.

Needs research. - Testament (টেস্টামেন্ট)

Just came across this tape with very original artwork (congratulation to the artist who released it). No information at all. The only known info is that there is the guitar player of Warfaze, Balam, and the drummer of Ground Force (as well as the well known - in Bangladesh at least - hard rock band Miles), Turjo.

Despite having such famous musicians in it, there is absolutely no mention at all anywhere. Both music sytle and recording year are unknown, quite likely very late 90's

The only song available sounds decent hard rock/metal despite in the biography above listed they are defined "boring pop-rock". Need to listen to more songs.
They may have released some other songs for compilation or Tv appearances

Of the countless bands still unknown outside the very closed circles of mexican metal collectors (I have something like 140 bands or unlisted demos with no info), this is just a random one.
It's only known that they played thrash metal. As usual, no info shared by the owners of such rarities

Massacre (Finland) -
- the first link here is a metal cassette that has songs included from 'unreleased LP'. The second might or might not be the same band, but is earlier and a more hardcore sound. If they had a valid metal release they could be added.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CD1e8QPkiI
(same band?) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qdn_0JDwM1U[/quote]

For King Spooky: This is the band Massacre which started as a punk band, then became hardcore and in the final - unreleased - album they played crossover/thrash.

I made the 3xCD complete discography on Metal Warning Records ("From punk to the grave") a few years ago (I still have a few copies left at home)

This tape cover I don't know where it does come from: in the material that the singer sent to me, there was no trace of it. The album was unreleased: it may have been released for friends only or it could be a later bootleg edition made by the band

(edit: just talked with Pete right now: this is just one of the many tapes/compilation he made for selling at gigs or thru mail.... he can't remember the year of release)

Baldadeath, thanks for the info about Massacre (Fin). So, you released a 3-CD set, including the last period when they were playing metal (that went unreleased for a long time)? It could be worth submitting if there is a note that they're submitted based on that material specifically.
Thanks also for the track listing on Azote. That is great stuff. If it's been released, it could also be submitted. That is the only thing I wasn't sure of. Musically, there's no question at all.

About Massacre: yes, I got the original master of the unreleased album from the band and restored by the guys of F.O.A.D. Records, then moved to Helsinki to work on this project and stay with my best italian friend overthere. In 3 months I did everything: artwork, booklet, audio restoring of all other material and I contacted Metal Warning Records to release it as they were interested in this project.

For long time I was uncertain whether they could sound "metal enough" + it was all about an unreleased material.... but then, today, listening to it again, I thought that yes, actually is metal enough and, anyway, there is a physical proof even if it's an anthology. Ok, I will create the page to submit

4 things that basically "left the studio".
We were not even told what, where and why. and this is unmixed material.
we would not even know if by chance, while on tour in Jurmala (joint concerts with Kelmi and his "rock studio") and passing by a local recording studio, we saw our posters in the window (the posters were really impressive, colorful, format and on good paper), going there, we sarcastically asked if there were any records of the “guys from the window” ... and to our surprise they showed us and turned on our material ... the funny thing is that we didn’t even have it yet ... we record it and flew to Riga .... such a funny story.
almost immediately after these studio sessions, the composition of the musicians was changed (some took up solo songwriting, some went to accompany Antonov).

Canadian band on site - have added release to their discography. - Jesus Christ
Spoiler: show
Location: Richmond, USA (?)
Listed genre: Unknown
Discography: Jesus Christ 6/18/92 Tape

Tracklist (repeats on Side B):
1) I Don't Care
2) Memories
3) Guilty
4) Back at the Zoo

Just came across this tape for sale on Ebay. With such a generic band name it's difficult to make researches. Anyway the name Joe Bramante seems to appear in some christian associations such as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints: it means that it's hard to get some useful info when it comes to christian-militant hard rock/metal small bands.
The few links which may redirect to a biography of such a guy don't work: they just redirect to suspicious indian websites or to trojan/virus-filled pages and nothing else

While as for Mark S. Berry, there are a few videos on Youtube, but I am not sure if it is the same person. Quite a famous producer, he moved to UK and then came back to USA and then to Canada where he kept on producing AOR and rock bands. It could be the only useful information. As well as it could be the Jesus Christ band already listed on MA but placed in Canada as one song ("Memories") also appears on their sole full lenght CD

It could be light hard rock, glam rock, punk, hc, crust... whatever....

That seems to be an unlisted demo from the Canadian band Jesus Christ. The 416 area code is for Toronto, and The Sonic Group Ltd. existed in Canada during the mid-'90s ( https://www.discogs.com/label/906933-Th ... -Group-Ltd ). There's a separate number listed for American inquiries. In my opinion that can be added to the listed Canadian band's discography.
(April 14th update: went ahead and added that tape to their discography. Good find - that is a very rare release).

In case anyone is interested in researching older bay area, California metal bands for potential addition to the site, there is a long list of bands here in need of further research:
viewtopic.php?p=3032958#p3032958

That's an ongoing list, where some occasionally get crossed off and new ones are frequently added.

The FWOSHM page is quite trustful and is maintained by the Overdrive guitarist Janne Stark, so when it dsays, that the demo was released on cassette, I would trust it. Anyway, the audio files on Youtube were provided by former Firewind bassist Anders "LA" Ronnblom and he certainly could be contacted through his Facebook for further info:

It seems that they were formed in 1986 as an accompayining band for the "ВИА Надежда" ensemble group. When Antonina Zhmakova (later in the band Spurt, already listed on M-A) joined on vocals, they decided to be an "autonomous" band and started playing hard rock/metal. There's a 9-songs live set recorded at Rock-Panorama '87 which is circulating and a couple more live recordings from 1988.

Some sources say that before being called "Raund", they were called "Martin": it could be one of the many wrong information, or it's just some previous project by some band members. Anyway, if my data are correct, under the name "Martin" they have released a magnetoalbum titled "Gorodske lastochki" in 1988 and there are 3 different live recordings from 1987-1988

According to the various version of the band's history, they released a few albums:

- one album titled "Свой путь" (said to be "not officially released" which I don't know what exactly means) for the ensemble ВИА Надежда, being Raund the accompaining band.

- one album titled "Супермэн / Superman" (official sources say 1991 but it may have been recorded between 1989-1990) which is said to be hard rock / commercial rock: it seems there is also an unreleased early version with the guitarist/leader singing in absence of a proper singer. It's unknown whether the "definitive" edition supposed to be on SNC label was released or not. Some sources say it was released but it didn't get success, others say it was unreleased. One song off the album appears on the "Монстры Рока в СССР / Monsters of Rock from USSR" compilation 1990.

- another one titled "Я Возвращаюсь" (an unspecified year between 2007-2009) when the band started activities again, which some users say to have it, so it must have been released somehow

- the "Крошка Кэт" full lenght CD in 2012, the only one which there are proofs of a phyisical CD

To add more confusion - as usual when dealing with old russian bands - it seems that the album "Superman" was actually recorded under the new band name "SS-20" (even if on the "Moster of Rock USSR" they appear as "Round"), but it may be one of the many misleading information For sure, under the monicker SS-20 they recorded the album "Dancing Elephants" (year unspecified, but it may have been after the demise of Raund in 1992). Supposed to be on SNC Records, it also remained unreleased. Finally, another SS-20 album titled "Секир-Башка" (CD, 1996): sources say it's hard rock/blues rock. Under the band name SS-20 they may have released some other albums even in recent years but the music style doesn't seem metal or hard rock at all, according to the various sources.

In the end, it seems that their only "metal period" was before the recording of the first album, when Antonina Zhmakova (from Spurt) was singing between 1986-1988, when they appeared on the "Rock Panorama 87", nothing more nothing else.

anyway, here are some very confusing and most of times contradictory biographies:

Thanks for correcting that. I edited the former user's post so that false information isn't floating around in here.

By the way, do you know if the Dizzy (Swe) demo was released? It'd be nice to get that band onto the site if possible. Cheers.

Needs research. - Larval Mutation
Looking for info on the band Larval mutation.
Been nearly impossible finding any info.

(Spooky):
Members of the other bands that were on that split might know something, or it seems would likely have the CD. Maybe you've tried going that route already, but it comes to mind as one way to get ahold of their music and/or some further info.
