Added. - Humanoid
Spoiler: show
Location: Belgium
https://www.youtube.com/@humanoidbandofficial/videos
https://www.instagram.com/humanoidbandofficial/
- Instagram page shows a CD test pressing of their demo from late June this year. Can't verify its release yet.
(edit) - someone submitted it this afternoon with a SoundCloud link.
https://soundcloud.com/humanoid-2425861 ... al_sharing
In case there still isn't enough to accept that submission, there's the link - band members also listed on SoundCloud. Could care less about credit for this or any other band posted in here. By all means, complete research and submit any or all.

Just FYI, I'm going to remove all the remaining bands imported from this list, because 99% of what remains after weeding out the already listed or blacklisted bands has turned out to be either soft rock, nu-metal, punk, hardcore, gothic rock or even new wave so far (and a bunch of cover/tribute shit as well). Seems like a waste of time to continue going through it one-by-one. If someone wants to dig through it, be my guest; the post is not going anywhere, but I'll drop all the entries from the main list shortly. A lot of it isn't particularly hard to find anyway.

Some of Self Inflicted (Erie, Pennsylvania)'s music, not from that CD:

Doesn't sound promising.

Added. - Trachoma
Spoiler: show
Location: Unknown
Described genre: Thrash/Death Metal
Band members:
Franco Grasso (Vocals)
Andrea Micali (Guitars)
Mino Micali (Bass)
Roberto Bisatti (Drums)
Discography: Beyond the Finitude (1996, Cassette)
Music sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFHuq_SI7rs

This one might not be a new band because there is already a band called Trachoma on MA. Notably, they both have a logo where the O in Trachoma is stylized as a human eye, although Trachoma is an eye disease so it may just be a common design theme. The cassette is purportedly from 1996 and the Trachoma that is already on MA didn't release anything until 2019. None of the members match up either.

Good find, thank you!

The channel that posted that song sample is owned by Roberto the drummer. I posted a few questions about the band in the comments of the youtube video. Hopefully he will respond. I see they video also says that they are from Novara Italy in the description and I missed that. Oh well.

Yeah, the band who recorded the demo 1996 was from of Italy, even if I am not sure about the town: I see on their FB lots of photos about Fiorentina and the football stadium in Florence but I don't think they were from my area. I had it in a want list and I think they didn't released anything else

Where did you have it in a want list? Do you have a link to a listing for it and did that listing have a full tracklist?

Dead Ahead Band
Location: USA
Genre: Heavy Metal (?)/Hard Rock
Discography: 4 track EP (?)

The song "On the Offensive" is pure traditional metal, while the song "Katie" is a soft rock ballad. Knowing the era, it's possible the other 2 songs on here are early AOR/hard rock, but wanted to submit this in here anyway.

Noth

Location: France
Genre: Black Metal/Noise
Band Members: Noth Enam
Discogs

Discography (see Discogs):
-2012 split with Drog
-Noth (2013 demo)
-Chaos VI/Pour En Finir (2015 split with Nekrokaos)

This is the solo project of French artist Noth Enam. It does not appear to be the same Noth on the blacklist, which is listed as a Bulgarian band that sounds like alt rock. The Drog split was released on CDr, while the demo and Nekrokaos were on cassette. I cannot find any samples for this, but if they can be dug up, this should be an easy submission.

Hi, all. Sorry, I've been inactive and I am not much updated on the recent developments of the site (even though I saw a lot of things have happened). Any color suits for me, you can make a preference for a color that wasn't already used and that's visually different enough to the others in order to make it easier to identify while glancing.

By the way, since we're at it, I'd like to inform y'all about a band that I have hanging on my drafts and that doen't appear to have released anything in particular for approvement, at least, before the new acceptance rules of 2021. Anyone who's willing to go search, go for it. It's called Theatre Runs Red, a blackened death metal from South Africa, which planned to release an album called Nigrum Terra Matre. They're split up, currently:

Users Halloween, Witcher, and Lord_Sauron could probably also be changed to green since they're not around anymore and it will require someone else's research for those bands to be added to the site.

I've not been around lately. To be honest, eh, it kinda depends on the band for me. I would feel rather peeved if a band I made a ton of research into got submitted by someone who just happened to stumble upon VR proof or samples while using every other part of my research to fill in the blanks, but I'd not be mad at all if someone grabbed some basic info and turned that into a full submission. I guess it really just depends on my case, as in, whoever puts the most effort into the research should be the one to submit the band.

It's also worth mentioning I care much more about being the one to submit bands from South America, specifically Argentina. In any case, it's better to ask me to submit a band I've brought up in the thread, or just submit it if it's one of those bands with barebones info implying you can make it into something, even more so if whoever does tshat has to contact people or put money into buying a CD or whatever.

Needs research. - Psychic Dungeon
Location: Italy
Listed genre: Death/Doom Metal
Band members:
Roberto Geddo (Bass, possibly this artist on MA)
Mattia Luppi (Vocals, Keyboards)
Roberto Bisatti (Drums)
Discography: Unknown
Music samples:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjKZzMFIgbw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x97LmdSSwzY @ 6:05

This is another song posted by Roberto Bisatti, the drummer of Trachoma that I posted earlier. Because Trachoma are from Italy, I'm making the assumption that Psychic Dungeon are also from Italy. The above video has a picture of the band members and their roles. The formatting of the picture looks like it may be a scan of a cassette jcard. Unfortunately there is no release year or album name in the video or its description. There is also no one credited as a guitarist. Basically I'm trying to find evidence of a valid release, and if possible who played guitars.

EDIT:
Found a compilation appearance: https://www.discogs.com/release/1373781 ... a-Volume-1

EDIT2:
I bought that compilation appearance. Looks like there are some other bands on there that may be worth investing as well. Gonna be a while before it gets here though.

Also found a video of the band goofing around on camera. No additional music or pictures of a cassette or anything: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZMV1Mn4eSE

Found the demo on Slsk (if anyone wants it, PM me) and it's death/thrash indeed. I took the liberty of adding the band, but used some of your draft's info and awarded you points for your contributions. :headbang:

He replied half an hour ago.

I've approved your sub.

Spoiler: show
Added. - Legion of Thunder

Location: Jagodina, Serbia
Genre: Thrash(?) Metal
Formed: 2009

Members:
Nicola (allegedly)

Came across this in the report queue. A (probably racist?) thrash band from Serbia, it appears to share members with Proviđenje, a full-on white supremacist RAC group from Serbia that's on the blacklist. Knowing the other bands they share ties with, there's probably at least some RAC in their sound as well. They have 2 EPs and an album, though I can't really confirm VR. The only place really mentioning them is Spirit of Metal, and they have no info about physical or digital release. I also can't really find samples of them. Their YouTube channel has most of their songs in live versions, but I've come up empty as far as the studio recordings, even on the usual NS and RAC fileshares, and those live versions are from 2011, so the audio quality is pretty muddy. The only social I can find is a dead MySpace account.

Links:
*MySpace
*YouTube
*Spirit of Metal entry

Kenner found samples and added this one. Straightforward thrash.

Guess I should have waited one more day. Oh well.

Thank you though!

Needs research. - Terraclipse
Genre: Prog Metal
Location: Portland, Oregon, USA

https://soundcloud.com/terraclipse

Apparently released the EP "Project: Chronos" in 2013, presumably on Bandcamp though there's no archived page for their Bandcamp page available.
Tracklist:
1. Terra Gaia 06:51
2. Blood of Time 04:46
3. Project: Chronos 02:04

Needs proof for VR.

Needs research. - Pathrashitell
Genre: Thrash Metal?
Location: Minsk, Belarus

According to this site, they released an album called "Humanoid System" in 2015:
http://thethrashmetalguide.com/P-PP.html

According to an old submission, they also released an EP called "Death Notes" in 2013:
1. Intro 00:49
2. Riot Of The Demons 04:34
3. Vaporized 02:25
4. Born In The Grave 04:04
5. Whisper Of The Dead 02:32
6. Mosh In The Church (Bonus Track) 04:08

Both need samples and proof for VR.

That Thrash Metal Guide might be worth going through in general, not sure if anyone mentioned it here before:

Needs research. - Piss
Location: Clifton, New Jersey, US
Genre: Unknown (a lot of the seller's tapes are metal, and this one looks likely that it could be as well.)
Discography: Cassette (year unknown. Track listing on one side: See the Vultures / Juice from the Grapes of Wrath / Whore of Time / The Pain)

Needs research. - Sharon Tate
Location: Fresno, California, US
Discography: 3-song demo tape (approximately 1993/'94. Could use an additional reference that it was released, but it isn't unusual for officially released demo tapes of that era to just have the titles written like this. Track listing: Necropolis / Equinox / Nerve Ending)

Needs research. - Torpid
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands, England. United Kingdom
Genre: Death/Doom Metal
Released three demos around the early 90s, heard about them from people in or used to be in the scene.
Literally only other info I have is a logo on two fliers for a show in 1992 (due to lineup change).
