Needs research. - Bukaki Jesus (United States)

Seemingly an experimental metal band from New York. Released a CD in 2002. It can be bought for... 300 USD on eBay. Samples needed.

Added. - Goliah (United States)
Spoiler: show
Industrial metal from Fall River, Massachussets, according to eBay, could just be industrial. Released a CD in 1997. CD is on eBay ($99.99) and Deporter Records ($4.99).

Genre: Heavy Metal (?)
Band members: Unknown
Discography: unknown, but their song "Insane" is on a 1997 compilation tape of Greek heavy metal bands titled "The Warrior", on the Heavy-Rock Tapes label. Of the 10 bands featured on it, they are the only one not listed on Metal Archives. Their song, like all of the others, was probably sourced from a demo tape that they did in 1996 or '97.

I got this from the post on the main page, and I hope I am doing it right by posting here.
Primrose did NOT play heavy metal. their entire demo, including the insane song, can be listened here:

'Dehuli' (ID# 9150) from the Thrash Metal Guide appears to be 'Deluhi' (https://www.discogs.com/artist/2958587-Deluhi), as they list 'Yggdalive' (2009) as a release. They are already blacklisted, so I assume you'd want to remove.

'Destructive Angel' (ID#9159) is a Touhou arrangement band (https://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/DESTRUCTIVE_ANGEL) so will be invalid as its not original music.

'Immortality Complex' (ID#9247) appears to be from Toledo, Ohio rather than Japan according to their Bandcamp (https://immortalitycomplex.com/album/th ... ic-madness)

Yeah, as previously mentioned, unfortunately the site contains many misspellings and errors. Both this and 9159 removed, thanks.

Nice. I didn't check the music, but if someone thinks they're acceptable, this can be submitted. Will remove it from the list, no need to keep it.

The only band which deserves a proper research is Necropolis from Volume 1. who released the tape "Three My Lifes" on Moon Records: I'll check it, but I think they are goth-rock

All the remaining bands from Vol. 1-2-3 are already known, their songs listed in the "compilation appearances" notes or just don't belong to heavy metal.

Edit: also Necropolis sound goth rock. I found one song on VKontakte:

I guess I should correct some inaccuracies that appeared in my earlier post.
Until today I thought Siris never recorded a demo.
However, information from other band members sheds new light on the matter. It turned out that Siris did a 4 track demo with his first vocalist. He was in the band for a very short time, so the other two singers who sang in the band just didn't remember/knew about it. So the first information based on their knowledge was not confirmed.

Needs research. - Atentado
Location: Spain
Genre: Heavy Metal (from one song available to listen to)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqdOZBr0cAE
- likely needs more samples, but may be okay as is.

Needs research. - Tierra Perdida
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XATr-rcbXzk
https://www.discogs.com/es/release/1898 ... Atr%C3%A1s
- listed as punk on Discogs, but the song sounds more like heavy metal to me.

Needs research. - Dies Irae
Location: Spain
Genre: Heavy Metal/Crossover (more on the metal side. Maybe enough to be accepted with this song.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-u2aLub0oI

The same YouTube channel that these three links come from may have more metal bands not yet on the site. Ran out of time to look through it.

Atentado and Tierra Perdida sound 100% punk, there is no traces of metal in them. Dies Irae is crossover HC.... I think none of them have anything to do with metal

I checked that YouTube channel already several times and, as far as I remember, there's nothing to be added / researched at least from early 2022 / late 2021 backwards

Edit: almost the entirity of bands are punk/hc or, in the best case urban rock. The few eligible bands are already listed on MA.

Basically there is nothing else to check out overthere except for Irao which is definitively worth checking:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGVd0TZ ... 5wZQ%3D%3D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpBTfik-BqU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRu1vsZ ... 5wZQ%3D%3D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abzvu3L ... 5wZQ%3D%3D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJXM1dI ... 5wZQ%3D%3D

https://www.discogs.com/release/12993406-Irao-Menpe

I think I am going to submit a draft as the CD is fully available on YT but the music style is too much vary: from power metal to crossover/hc.... I don't know... in the worst case it gets blacklisted.

Other bands such as The Odd or Kafha are too much into HC:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbO3nmYkVd8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZnwuIuO_ZY

or Bounzin, still too much HC:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h15NEVXAozY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yt4zSi6pT0

While checking for Thanatos (hardcore/punk, nothing to do with the Thanatos already listed on MA), I came across this tape here, said to be "heavy metal from Galicia":

Needs research. - Excessive / XCF
Location: Florida, US
Described as thrash/alternative metal from a few sources.
https://www.discogs.com/release/1042796 ... sive-Today
Formed in 1985 as XCF. Changed it to Excessive in 1990 or later. Most members formed a rock band called Crease in 1994.

Added. - Nosferatu
Spoiler: show
Location: Lexington, Virginia, US
Genre: Metal
Played a lot of gigs at The Iroquois venue in Roanoke around 1987/'88, with At War, Sodom, Testament, Vio-Lence, and others. Very likely had at least a demo out. Some flyers are here: https://metallipromo.com/atwar.html
Trivia: James Hetfield wore one of their t-shirts in the video for "Nothing Else Matters" - https://www.talkbass.com/threads/delete.1191436/page-2
(update 9/18): another flyer found, with heavyweights Vio-Lence and Voivod: https://imgur.com/a/ogP6v90 - would be pretty surprising if they didn't do at least one demo tape.
All the gig flyers that I could find from them: https://imgur.com/a/pTtggcT

I don't know if this has been discussed before: https://www.discogs.com/master/583755-%D0%90%D0%BB%D1%8C%D1%84%D0%B0-%D0%91%D0%B5%D0%B3%D0%B0 (actually first distributed in 1984 on tapes)

The album is quite heavy, but I don't know if it can be considered "metal enough".

This band was just submitted based on their first two albums and the demo "La Sangre No Miente" which were all too borderline to cut it. The band has two other early demos that are labeled as thrash on Discogs. One is "Stigmatized Eye" from 1994 and the other is "Turtles Ahead" from 1995. So far I have not been able to locate these online.

Official Website: http://www.cdtmusic.hu/

I wasn't able to find the early demos, but their last three albums are released in Spotify. In my opinion they're quite borderline as well, but feel free to have another check.

Thanks, Miro. I've removed Ricardo Primata, Spontán Tömörülés, Sloe Gin, Revans, Rémkoppantók and Nothing B.N. The rest needs more samples, IMO (that Szürkeállomány song sounded okay, actually).

Added back in 2005, but deleted after two completely non-metal songs were found. Perhaps they're just the ballads of the demo and exceptions, but tbh the MA entry overall didn't look too promising, so I'm moving this in here instead. Actually needs both more samples and proof of release.

Not to be confused with the heavy metal band Panter from Třinec.

Looks like Dalibor Halamíček is still pretty active in his band Moravius, so I emailed the band to ask if he would be able/willing to upload the full Panther demo to YouTube. I'll report back if I get a response.

Seemingly an experimental metal band from New York. Released a CD in 2002. It can be bought for... 300 USD on eBay. Samples needed.

Needs research. - Goliah (United States)

Industrial metal from Fall River, Massachussets, according to eBay, could just be industrial. Released a CD in 1997. CD is on eBay ($99.99) and Deporter Records ($4.99).

I just bought the Goliah CD. When I get it, I'll let you know what it sounds like.

Kaarmenaitelly on the band research list is most likely Käärmenäyttely (https://www.mikseri.net/kaarmenayttely/). They are indeed Thrash or Thrash-adjacent metal according to the songs I've heard from them. Problem is that they haven't ever released a proper demo, only individual songs on Mikseri.net (a Finnish amateur mp3 site).

The Interns (8592) and Oreon (8590) can be removed from the list, they're pop punk and mallcore respectively. Oreon are labeled as "nu-metal/metalcore" on Discogs and their site mentions them being similar to Slipknot, Chimaira, Tool and other bands of that style.

I couldn't get samples for any of the two bands, so there's that small chance of Oreon being acceptable, but it's very slim. I've contacted a few people on Discogs but I don't have high hopes.

EDIT: Black Rain Falling (483) can also be removed, they're post-hardcore/alt rock. Hand over Fist (343) are blacklisted. I removed Saquethrash (505) from my list because I find it extremely unlikely it is a band other than the one already on the site (Saque). Slaine (1774) and Slaine (512) are duplicates.

EDIT 2: Stapl (8591), which by the way is a typo (should be "Staple"), is 99% likely the band that was already blacklisted, and even if it's not, it's mallcore, so it should be removed regardless.

Good catch. TMG claims there is a full-length:
Quote:
KAARMENAITELLY (FINLAND)

another fine example that there is something in the water in finland: very cool retro thrash from the north sung in finnish (a growing tendency with the bands out there) with both fast, technical songs and some heavier, slower ones.

moraalin vartijat full-length, 2005

Do you know anything about that? I notice that "Moraalin Vartijat" is a song on Mikseri.

"Moraalin vartijat" is listed as the album name on the id3 metadata. No track numbers were listed, and Google doesn't bring any conclusive proof that it existed.

If anyone here is on Instagram, this drummer from Avalon (Ger)'s first demo (2022) could be contacted about audio samples:

Blind Dryve can be removed. Doesn't sound promising to me from a brief listen. If anyone wants to listen further and ends up thinking it's worth submitting, here's the link:
