Unable to access the VK audio links for Altera, but if it sounds conclusively metal they could be submitted.

Does anybody have some information about this band? I see the CD reissue (on Till Your Death Records, TYDR030) is out since a few days:

https://tydrecords.thebase.in/items/76305556

Described as thrash-death, from Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, formed in early 90's and released a demo in 1993. Unfortunately this is one of the (too) many label who do not share even a single bit of song for potential customers

Seen the ‘93 demo tape for sale a few times but it’s always been out of my price range. FWIW Disk Union describe them as similar in style to early Outrage so probably eligible, but don’t believe there’s any audio out there yet (even live/bootleg stuff). Members apparently went on to other bands such as Nigarobo and a few others that aren’t on here, possibly because they’re different genres. CD is on order so I’ll let you know if no one subs it in the meantime though.

Here a few of links, but the Metalrus link doesn't work since this morning: hopefully there's a reproduction of some tape cover and a sort of biography: it seems they recorded a demo in 1993:

While searching for Асмодей (Ukraine), I came across this band:

Spirit: Filling with vacuum

It seems there's a tape and a CD edition:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tj4j82wQ38

http://karasik.eu.org/mp3/Spirit/

tape cover:

http://karasik.eu.org/mp3/Spirit/sc.jpg

If you dig inside these sub-folders you may find other interesting stuff, like Prophesy and other bands:

Contragolpe (Argentina) can be removed - punk.
https://contragolpe.bandcamp.com/album/ ... un-destino

CODP and Collusion of Dishonest Purpose are listed separately on the research list, but are the same band. Could be consolidated to one listing.

Needs research. - UBAA (Mozambique)

Thrash/death metal band, was featured in a compilation with two tracks with a good recording quality.

https://soundcloud.com/monace/03-ubaa-u ... s-vs-gabas
https://soundcloud.com/monace/02-ubaa-old-mona-blackish

Needs research. - Rui Michel & Unlocked Minds (Mozambique)

Metalcore band, probably just called "Unlocked Minds" but I can't confirm this. They have a song in a compilation.

https://soundcloud.com/monace/04-rui-mi ... bum-volume

Needs research. - Mona (Mozambique)

Sounds like thrash/heavy to me. Also appeared in a compilation:

https://soundcloud.com/monace/07-mona-s ... bum-volume
https://soundcloud.com/monace/08-mona-s ... bum-volume

Seemingly they released an album titled On the line... in 2011 or before, but it seems to be rock.

Needs research. - Mikaya (Mozambique)

Metalcore. Same as above.

https://soundcloud.com/monace/09-mikaya ... bum-volume

Needs research. - Guided by Nightmares (Mozambique)

Metalcore. Same case.

https://soundcloud.com/monace/10-guided ... bum-volume

Depresion Fulminante might be able to be removed. Same logo here. Maybe they sounded a lot different, but what is featured here is far from metal despite how it looks.

De'Iventor were from Ipoh, they released the "Glory of Never-ending Surrender" in 1998. I have photos of the demo tape but can't read well the 6 song titles

The bands on Selekta 1 compilation (Piranha, Wira, Highness, Image, Diciples) can be removed. 90% ballads, with some semi-convincing metal at times.

Still in the ukrainan link above there are two demo recordings (1990 and 1991) of a band called Shield. Actually they are Щит (ukrainan for "shield"):

http://karasik.eu.org/mp3/

There is a page on Metalrus but today it doesn't work:

https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=htt ... AdAAAAABAN

Trying to find more infos about Spirit:

http://karasik.eu.org/mp3/Spirit/sc.jpg
http://karasik.eu.org/mp3/Spirit/
http://karasik.eu.org/mp3/Spirit/old/

Note: I saw that Spirit have been already submitted a few hours ago after I posted the few infos found. Why don't you try to find additional information before rushing to add bands? I noticed that an user in the last times added a lot of bands that were in my folders that I sent to somebody long time ago while lot of informations were still missing - and still are - like Cherokees, Abex, Agony, Sundelbolong, Leviathan, Catacombed, Guillotine, Deathgate.... I don't mind sending my folders with photos and infos to everybody who want to see them. But if there's not a draft yet (or, in case of Cherokees there was, I made it already since long time but just a old version was submitted while in the meantime I added additional infos) it means that informations are still inaccurate, missing and need further researches. I think a submission should made by a deeper research and not rushing with the first - incomplete - information found or taken by somebody else's job. All these bands that I named above were in a folder that I sent to some user who asked me a couple years ago and just used now despite in the meantime some additioal infos have been surfaced. I don't care if somebody takes my researches to his own purposes, but - at least - try to see if the information/photos/text files I sent time ago need to be updated

Floare Albastra can be removed. Not many riffs. Good fusion/rock mostly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJp3OarQLvE

Information about Grindfest (Mys) found here:
https://ekstrim-info.blogspot.com/2014/11/
(translated):
Maybe many people don't know GRINDFEST, a Grindcore band from Sabah. GRINDFEST is actually a project created by one of the members of the PERPETUAL group ( https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Pe ... 3540328058 ). GRINDFEST previously released "Mass Appeal Noise" Rehearsal Tape 1998 and "Wartime Conspiracy" Demo 2000. After a long hiatus, GRINDFEST is rumored to be coming back with new release material and products.
(here the page has a web link)
Their email address was last known to be [email protected]

Hactraz Flickr page with long bio if you click on 'show more'.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/hactraz/a ... 629735089/

Band Shield found on the Ukraine page from a few posts up - not metal, don't add to the list.

Hematose (Portugal) - band on the research list that did "First" cassette might be this alt. rock band that had a 1996 compilation song: https://90sportugal.bandcamp.com/track/hematose-nothing . Can't verify, but if it seems likely enough or if it is, should be removed. There is no other band by this name on the site currently, and the first Google results are for this band that is also from Portugal.

Imfierno (Ecu) audio for half of the release found. One song dungeon synth, the other metal. Probably need the other 2 songs to make a sound determination.

Impostor (Bolivia) can be removed. It's the name of an Atmosfera Funebre release that's on the site.

Needs research. - The Wishess
Location: Imphal, Manipur (India)
Listed genre: Heavy Metal
Band members:
Bishikanta Thounaojam "Bishi" (Vocals - R.I.P. 06-01-2022)
Rinkhui (Bass)
Megha Salam (Lead Guitar)
Kaminshang (?) (Rhytm Guitar)
Derik (Drums)
Prabim (Keyboards)

other members:
Thompson Lourembam (Rhythm Guitar)
Bona (Rhythm (?) Guitars)
Domino (Bass)
Maverick (Bass)
Chingkhei (Drums)
Lammingou Kipgen (guest bassist)

They released one CD, "Break Through" in 2015:

https://imgur.com/OhmSBdn

and another album, "Our Pride" in 2019.

In the liner notes of the first CD they describe themselves as a "heavy metal band" with influences such as Judas Priest, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Skid Row, Megadeth.... so it could worth finding it

They may have changed music style with the second (?) album. The following singles are simply obscene even if one of them sounds good:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgJwVQWCmBo

https://indianbandshub.blogspot.com/201 ... shess.html

Obviously, like every other band from Imphal (Manipur) and North-East regions, useful information are totally missing... it seems such details are not strictly necessary

Floare Albastra: I'd better wait to find the demo with 4 songs recorded prior to the album and reviewed in an unknown magazine on March 1995 (i just have a cut from that page)

LSD (Belarus) - there's a 1994 demo listed here also. It looks like their tapes occasionally sell inexpensively on Discogs.
https://www.discogs.com/artist/7134964-LSD-54

Some information about Mankind Terror (Istanbul, Türkiye) was found here:
https://turkiyedeagirmuzigingecmisi.com ... h-konseri/
They were originally playing grindcore with the name Private Death, whose lineup consisted of Hikmet Aydinsoy, Alp Emir, Erhan Yarsur, and Burak Ulken.

Needs research. - Ritual
Location: unknown
Listed genre: Black Metal
https://www.ebay.com/itm/225747032215
Discography: Promo '98 (track listing: The Crystal Fortress / Nightshade Delerium). Spelling of Delerium as it's printed. Might be a band on the site, haven't checked them all. Song titles didn't have any matches for Ritual.

Regarding Oscilator from Romania (https://www.discogs.com/artist/5502507-Oscilator), their guitarist may have been
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... C8%99/9373 , also from Campulung Moldovenesc. His email address was last known to be [email protected]

Project Alpha (Singapore) is the name of a split CD, not of the band. Aegyptie and Alt-Del are the two bands on it. Should be edited on the list.

I'm not sure if Centuria (Córdoba), who are mentioned on Centuria (Rafaela, Santa Fe)'s page, that released "Momento de Lucidez" in 2012 are the same band that Marcelo Ferz played/plays in. Sounds like they are metal, but Centuria (Arg.) is blacklisted currently. Haven't verified which Centuria is blacklisted, and for what reason.

The BL entry is for this one: https://www.discogs.com/artist/11516711-Centuria-6

I've temporarily whitelisted it.

All caught up to here. As always, let me know if there is still something wrong or missing in the list.

Needs research. - Morghelarisy (Mozambique)

As mentioned above, probably the first Mozambican metal band to record anything. They sound like progressive/melodic black metal to me. There are two songs on a Soundcloud, I imagine they're from their 2002 demo.
https://soundcloud.com/smarroquim

A book titled The Cambridge Companion to Metal Music briefly mentions them, and a documentary titled Terra Pesada seems to have a section of it focused on this band, but I can't find the documentary anywhere.

Need VR proof.

Shout (Chile) can be removed. They're from Brazil and are listed on the site.

Regarding Soul or Science, keyboardist Francisco Pessanha, a.k.a. Francisco Gomes plays keyboards in Brain for the Masses. He is on Instagram and YouTube and could be contacted by someone with an Instagram account to ask about the 1998 "Impressions" tape.
