A few edits that could be made to the list:
- Anxiety (101) and Anxiety (139) aren't the same band. One is from Colorado, and the other is from Georgia (so the additional note could be edited to say 'not the same band as'.. instead of 'same as..?'
- Magic Theatre is the same band that the Discogs link note has there. Going to look just a little further into them before requesting them to be removed, though at this point not looking promising.
- Both listings of Loaded (Amethyst list) can be removed. Only thing being found is the German band that The Corroseum describes as a dull AC/DC soundalike. Vague name to go off of if it refers to a different band. While the Amethyst list has had a few obscure metal gems on it, the majority of those bands are rock.

Wet Paint (Italy) can be removed. 2 members:
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... oni/634101
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ino/335936
Somewhere I read that they played rock, not metal.

Night Stalker (UK, band featured on The Friday Rock Show) can be removed. They're the band listed on the site, I confirmed with one of their former members.

Crime Inc. can be removed - rock. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-5OZtntw-4

Demonic Force (NJ, US) - There's not really anything else to research about it. Member Chris Hawkins said that back in the day only the members had copies of the 1988 demo. He personally made it available for download on the Heavy Metal Rarities site, and sends mp3s to anyone who asks about it via email, though (sent it to me about a week ago after inquiring).
https://heavymetalrarities.com/forum/vi ... #gsc.tab=0
So, in a way he has made the demo available to the public by request and on the HMR forum.
All that's needed in the case of this band is a decision if that makes the release valid, or if they should be removed from the list.

Harm: sounds like a mix of groove metal/Alt/Hard Rock. Genre is nu-metal on discogs. Not sure if it's worth pursuing.

Heresy: Facebook is dead. Sounds like acceptable metal/rock, but no VR. They posted about an album being recorded, then went silent.

https://www.youtube.com/@Heresymusicgroup/videos

Honour Roll: Described as hard rock.

I am the Author: Dead facebook. Chuggy Metalcore
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS9A5xPQEkw

I Empire: Another dead facebook. Sounds like unacceptable chuggy deathcore.
https://www.youtube.com/@IEmpireBand

Immortal Sacrifice: Black metal. 2011 Demo available for download on reverbnation.
https://www.reverbnation.com/immortalsacrifice

Inhuman Betrayal: Death metal. Streaming only on reverbnation.
https://www.reverbnation.com/inhumanbetrayal

Innerpiece: Heavy metal. Has some tracks on reverbnation that can be downloaded. Two singles on applemusic. That should be enough for submission, right?
https://music.apple.com/us/artist/innerpiece/1598925530

Inside It Fails: Dead website. I think this is a typo. band should be 'Inside It Failed'. Alt/Groove Rock. not metal.
https://music.apple.com/us/album/say-go ... /452421255

Invective: Another borderline band, probably on the unacceptable side. Metalcore/Groove/Thrash. Not progressive metal at all as the list describes.
https://heavyinvective.bandcamp.com/album/invective-ep

IODE: Formerly known as Herschel. Released a live EP and a two track stoner metal/rock ep under 'Herschel'. Maybe Herschel can be submitted, but IODE hasn't got anything valid.

La Luna: Emo/Hardcore. Not terrible! But also not metal.
https://lalunaband.bandcamp.com/album/always-already

Landfish: Borderline Groove/Grindcore/Technical material. Full-length might be metal enough.
https://landfish.bandcamp.com/album/deprived

Last Call Chernobyl: Borderline Metalcore with Jazzy intervals. Maybe metal enough to submit.
https://d5digital.bandcamp.com/album/dr ... -of-change

Lie Among Us: yet more borderline metalcore/deathcore. Demo might be metal enough but there's no artwork on Bandcamp. is this an issue?
https://lieamongus.bandcamp.com/album/c ... extinction

Life Before Last: passable metalcore in my opinion.
https://lifebeforelast.bandcamp.com/alb ... -all-hours

I'll submit the one's I think are metal and post the one's i'm too iffy on in the to be submitted forum.

Regarding Fear Itself (Washington State, US) - User PUK said that he acquired their demo in a pm from a couple of months ago. Haven't heard back after returning the message (which was several weeks after it had been sent), but last I knew he frequents Discord. Maybe someone on there could ask him for the tracks to determine if the band should be added? They have a valid release: https://www.discogs.com/release/2736071 ... ear-Itself

(about Demonic Force) - Thanks. Have passed it on to the 'to-be-submitted' thread, and it can be removed.

Innerpiece (Canada) was added to the site yesterday, and can be removed.

Landfish (Canada) was submitted today / can be removed.

SST - Too vague. Best to remove it.

Street Urchin, also - probably the same band listed on the site (the Amethyst list has a lot of UK bands). Just haven't come across details about a 1988 demo from them yet.

Damage, Inc. (Norway) was added to the site recently - can be removed from the list.

Just a reminder that I scrubbed through bands H-L on the 'Ondes Chocs' list, and can be removed accordingly to the posts I made here.

Nanochrist: industrial/groove metal/electronic. Seems borderline, but has quite a lengthy discography. 'Freedom Through Extinction' sounds like it could pass, but I'm gonna take a deeper look at their albums. If anyone familiar with this band could throw out an album, I'd appreciate it.

Nardhammer: Nothing on facebook or searches indicates they recorded anything.
https://www.facebook.com/Nardhammer

Nightterrors: Reminds me of a thrashier nails. Will submit.

Nine Times Fast: Streaming only on reverbnation and live performances. Sounds like it could be metal, but no VR in sight.

No Plans For Chaos: List says "Power/Thrash/Heavy" when in reality it's borderline electronic metal/rock.
https://noplansforchaos.bandcamp.com/al ... iracies-20

Nocturnal Funeral: Already listed as an international band.

Noordval aka Noordvall: Metal, but only ever recorded one track, streaming only.

NxPxH: AKA Neil Patrick Harrisz, which is blacklisted from the site. Bouncy pornogrind/goregrind.

Skywire - early band of Kane Roberts - rock.
https://www.tiktok.com/@lordsoftantrazz ... 7918602539

Relayer - far from metal.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=1zlXEUAQHmE

Tyrant (Canada) - rock.
https://citizenfreak.com/titles/324893- ... -b-w-carol
One or more members supposedly went on to Cyrus Eden.

Vengeance - songs are both credited to J. Buffolino (first name John, according to Discogs). Backing vocals on one by L. Kaye, who is this vocalist according to Discogs: https://www.facebook.com/LauraKayeMusic/
Lyrics on one song by Steve Polancic.

Free Reins lineup:
Bass – Kevin Frisch
Drums – Greg Martini
Guitar – Jeff Abbott
Saxophone, Vocals – Steve Frisch
Trumpet, Vocals – Eric Schueler
Written-By, Keyboards, Lead Vocals – John Schutte
- with saxophone and trumpet, not promising for the site. Were on a couple of compilations in addition to the 7":
https://www.discogs.com/artist/2619303- ... ppearances

Jet Quin - lame rock. The A-side is the next-to-last song here:
https://www.mixcloud.com/GenePontecorvo/dumbrock/

Kicker were a Tacoma, Washington band. Per a former member, "hi energy rock , southern rock band". Probably not worth pursuing.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/6164655 ... 397810730/
Pat Smith lead guitar/Vocals, Ron Kinscherf bass lead vocals, Tom Landon Keys, sax, flute, lead guitar/vocals, Steve , guitar/vocals, Jody Kennard on drums

Scream - songwriting credits: Deguiles, Lyons, Manzo, Yale

Pretty Poison - doesn't sound hopeful.
https://thecorroseum.org/rev/pretty-poison-10.php

Thrill - produced by Rod Bowers. Chuck Surack co-produced the A-side. They had a management company that was based in Wayne, Indiana (Main Street Productions). Could have been from around that area. One of the songs was recorded at Piggies II Lounge.

Sabotage (Texas) - might have a chance from the A-side:
https://soundcloud.com/rick-michelena/hell-raiser-1
A bit like early Priest. The B-side is on this same SoundCloud page, not metal at all. These 2-song 7" bands are usually given the benefit of the doubt for one convincing track.

Panzer - record label is out of San Jose, California. Songwriting credits - Oldham / Johnson. Oldham is likely James Oldham, who has an Executive Producer credit.

Rage - Boston, Massachusetts band. Likely not worth pursuing. https://youtu.be/iWAt5e3JpLc?feature=shared

Thin Ice - recording studio used was located in Beaumont, Texas.

Bill Opland - in the Schaumburg, Illinois area nowadays.

Bravado - songwriters are Stokes / Ellis. Vague description that someone posted on 45cat site:
"This is a good New Wave Of British Heavy Metal / N.W.O.B.H.M. / Prog Rock single with some great guitar solos."

The Canadian band Directions apparently had a YouTube and Bandcamp, but both are no longer. They really wanted to scrub this from the internet. Found a track on Soundcloud. Sounds like unacceptable metalcore.

Could a mod weigh in on 'Desolace'? Like I said two, lengthy, downloadable tracks on Bandcamp which both have the same art. One of them however is on Soundcloud with different art, and is still downloadable. Is this valid enough to warrant submission? Otherwise there's no VR and it looks like the band is done with.

Well, yes, Black Sabbath played like that on their early albums. Is this illegal now, young man?

Of course, I understand that I'm an old fool and don't understand about music.

Traitor (Canada) - there's an email address for inquiry on this other site for someone who apparently owns the record. Could be worth writing to see about an audio sample:
https://citizenfreak.com/titles/324911- ... b-w-mad-on
Music and lyrics by Onno Vangilder.

Terminal 2 - within the UK, the record is fairly affordable on Discogs.

(sent mp3s of the full Black Magic EP to Azmodes earlier today.)

Blitzkrieg Boogie Band -
Guitarist/vocalist Paul McGilley might be the London musician by that name who's been in two German AC/DC tribute bands more recently / currently. Looks as though he doesn't have his own FB page, but maybe someone there could assist.
https://www.rockstage-riot-rheinmain.de ... angus.html
https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063815520302

National Gold - quite a lot of information can be found, and it looks like some of their music may have been released under the name Dave Edwards. Needs to be looked at more thoroughly, but at a glance sounds like solid blues-based rock that wouldn't be accepted onto the site. The band toured with Rory Gallagher. The 7" in question is from 1981, but they were still playing live in 1993, so likely that more releases than just the 7" should be assessed.

One on One - Based in Liverpool.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXUaGbqzLLk
(8th sample, haven't checked to see if it's a different song or not.): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3Il2IrksmY

Brody (Japan) - Song "Street Rowdy" on "Heavy Metal Force" compilation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omCKIZhXzfU (a bit of the AC/DC sound with vocals that sound "different").
http://japan-metal-indies.com/html/brody/index.html
https://www.discogs.com/release/4413110 ... etal-Force (compilation appearance)
Bass – Reach Sugimoto (aka "Richi")
Drums – Dead Aoki
Guitar – シェンカー, ペイジ (translation: Schenker, Paige. Japan Metal Indies site credits their guitarists as "Habu" and "Dizzy")
Vocals – Bomber Sugimoto
---
Since they were later called Groovy Heels, that band's lineup may be helpful. This is who played on a late '80s Groovy Heels release:
Backing Vocals – Bob Dree
Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals – Reach Sugimoto
Drums, Backing Vocals – Kaz Kojima
Electric Guitar, Backing Vocals – Ryutarö Takagi, Taka Sugano
Solo Vocal – Tsuyoshi Sugimoto

Blizzard (Anderson, South Carolina) songwriting credits - some or all band members: F. Wood, J. Hare, M. Burden, N. Jensen, W. Howard

Slicker (Illinois) -
- drummer Carmen Ingurgio also played in No Limit: https://www.facebook.com/NoLimitShyboy
- guitarist Kerry Moy, further info: http://www.smooth-jazz.de/Artists1/Moy.html

Sixty Nine (California, US) - one song here on 2 different YT channels:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfIMFGMQXNM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkRZWnVO7rc
- commercial rock/metal, not very promising for the site. 2 songs remain unheard.

Vengeance (Illinois) - 4 songs are here, but they aren't the ones on the release in question:
https://www.reverbnation.com/markodette/songs
One more here, a compilation track called "Inside Your Dreams": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJbYAm4hh7o
More "commercial" hard rock for the most part. I tried messaging David Shankle on Facebook before about another band, Lunacy, that are in the research list, but received no response. That will probably be a futile effort. Maybe Luis Morales of Phantom Reign is the same drummer in this band:
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... les/122399
Popsike / old auction archive that has a couple of additional photos of the record on Discogs: https://www.popsike.com/VENGEANCE-MARK- ... 58050.html

Zeus - according to an old eBay listing, they were from Chicago, Illinois.
https://www.popsike.com/ZEUS-NURSERY-RH ... 71474.html

High Risk - A-side, "The See'er" can be streamed on the SoundCloud page of Jeff Quinn. Good song. Could see it likely requiring the B-side audio for site inclusion, though.
https://soundcloud.com/jeff-quinn-1/01-the-seeer
Jeff is on Facebook, and could be asked for the other song and further details about the band: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.quinn.963
Though he's based in Colorado according to FB, 2 clues have pointed to the possibility that the band were from North Carolina.

High Altitude - member Rod Downing's Facebook page (though maybe not of worth, since the last post was in 2016).
https://www.facebook.com/rod.downing.5/
To note, he still seems to be involved with the Seattle music scene from looking at a couple of other websites.
