Awesome! Really appreciate your work. For once, the list is shrinking instead of growing.

Thank you!

I was gonna hold off on the Quebec list for a bit but I decided to start chipping away.

A Cascade Dream: Hardcore
https://acascadedream.bandcamp.com/albu ... g-glass-ep

A Thousand Years: Chuggy, borderline core/rock. Doesn't sound convincing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgOL0jP ... hX&index=2

A World of Children: Borderline metalcore/djent. Might be acceptable, but still iffy.
https://aworldofchildren.bandcamp.com/album/apatia

Aborgnon: Dead facebook, can't find much else.

Abort the Child: Too makeshift, poor quality to be metal. Djenty chugcore anyway.
https://www.reverbnation.com/abortthechild

About Sky and Earth: Borderline metalcore/post-hardcore. Not metal.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=deskt ... 5ckg0&t=0s

Above the Grey: Borderline metalcore. EP might be metal enough. Not sure if it's enough to weigh against that full-length though, because that's pretty chuggy.
https://abovethegreymusic.bandcamp.com/ ... wnsides-ep

Absence of Truth: Sounds metal, but only one single on bandcamp.
https://absenceoftruthqc.bandcamp.com/t ... dead-radio

Aenator: aka ÆNATOR. Metal at times, but has a lot of electronic/chiptune/dubstep/rock going on that dilutes it. Second album might be metal enough, but very borderline.
https://aenator.bandcamp.com/album/realms-of-anachronis

Aeons of Twilight: Dead facebook. Can't find much else.

Here's footage of Aeons of Twilight live. Certainly sounds like black metal. Might've been live only.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wAwPX_szKI

*Edit*
So the band has been active since the early 2000s as evidenced by this Zine.
http://sangfrais.com/SF_PDF/sf11.pdf

Apparently there's a S/T, 2001 demo by the band, though not sure if the link is legit.

Needs research. - Lace Dragon (note: it's on the site at the moment, but I requested for a moderator to remove it because audio recently found has put their metalness in doubt. Need to try to find the full recording.)
Location: Westchester County, New York, US
Band members: Tom Giacinto - Bass - https://www.facebook.com/profile/100002 ... e%20dragon
Christian van Heuvel - Drums - https://www.facebook.com/profile/100000 ... e%20dragon
Tommy Ciampoli - Guitars - https://www.facebook.com/profile/100047 ... e%20dragon
Mark Hovsepian - Unknown - https://www.facebook.com/profile/100000 ... e%20dragon
Rick - Unknown
Jim Muth - Unknown
Discography: Demo 1984 (cassette) - https://www.discogs.com/artist/6626931-Lace-Dragon
Live video: https://www.facebook.com/thomas.giacint ... 8292140543 (sounds like there's a certain amount of metal there, but there are some very blues-based rock parts, and this should be explored further before being on the site.)
- not to be confused with the Texas metal band Lace Dragon that are on the site.

Does anybody have some information about this band? I see the CD reissue (on Till Your Death Records, TYDR030) is out since a few days:

Described as thrash-death, from Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, formed in early 90's and released a demo in 1993. Unfortunately this is one of the (too) many label who do not share even a single bit of song for potential customers

Defile from Japan have been added.

Needs research. - Annoying
Location: Longueira/Odemira/Milfontes (Portugal)
Genere: Heavy Metal
Discography: "Dreams" Demo Tape 1995; Promo Tape 1996
Band Members: Prado (drums)
Gonçalinho (Bass)
Sandro: Rhythm Guitar
Jean Bodin: Solo Guitar / Keyboards
Ricardo: Vocals

found this, to be honest I don't know if it's really metal.... some riff and moments are ok, others take different ways

Anyway, no tracklist.... they say that the last two tracks (one is titled "Dark Way" and the other one "Fé Lusitana") were recorded later

On two songs (one from the demo and one of the two bonus tracks) see the participation of members of R.I.P. and Tarantula

edit: also found the promo tape 1996:

Caustic was added today - can be removed. Thanks.

Oblivion (US) that was added to the list yesterday can also be removed. Turned out to be something entirely different, not Oblivion. No more research needed there.

Tried submitting this earlier but it got rejected saying it need more samples on original songs. I contacted the band member and he offered to send the cd. After I told him I'm from Finland things got little problematic, since he said it would be easier if the receiver lived in US. So maybe someone here could acquire the cd and find out if it's acceptable.

Contact: [email protected]

Just got SMITHEReenz in, and I'm in the process of uploading them for view.

Miro, do you want dibs on submitting the band or does it not matter? Also, the artist sent me two other CDs of two of his other projects 'Alias Smith & Jones' and 'SmithZonian'. Haven't checked the metalness but he included a note asking me to forward all three to you. Do you want to submit all three?

Kapriz Ognya (Uzbekistan) = Каприз Огня
Definitely metal. Their bio mentions one 7-track album "Обреченный На Страдание", which must be this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avb53Dk_arc
Can't find any other information about the release...

Rejs 09 (Uzbekistan) = Рейс 09 = Flight 09
I'd lean towards hard rock based on this album available online, but for me it's on the edge. "The Absolution" and "In The Darkness" are kinda metal-ish. This song sounds borderline, too. They have lots of valid releases, if this is metal enough though... Should I try submitting with best case I can make?

Location: New Jersey, US
Genre: Metal (Thrash?)
https://imgur.com/a/sPUtoS8
https://imgur.com/a/gfkRyEO
https://imgur.com/a/6whuAeF
Active from the late '80s until about 1997. Anthony Valentino and Greg Henry ( https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001621596854 ) were members throughout lineup changes.
https://www.facebook.com/dcaggese may have been a member (knows plenty about them, anyway).
They did at least one cassette. "The Inner Life" is one of their recorded songs.
In 1997 they became a cover band called Reverand (sp?) Henry.

Needs research. - Eleventh Hour
Location: New Jersey, US
Discography: "Pieces" demo tape - https://imgur.com/a/1YXuJRK
- Possible that it's either one of the bands listed or mentioned on the site. Almost certain they were from NJ.
Maybe someone here knows, a Facebook group for a venue they used to frequent: https://www.facebook.com/groups/4668606 ... nth%20hour
(a US band by this name is blacklisted currently, but it might be the Connecticut one with Steve Zimmerman, ex-Fates Warning drummer).
Appears to be band members from a post -

I spoke with the musician behind the brazlian band 'Aracnus' to see if he recorded anything else and it would appear he has not. He told me that finding bandmates and raising capital were the primary reasons. Unfortunate, he sounds like a cool dude! I'd post the conversation, but he sent it through voice message.

Could this be the Allied Nation in the "near california" list? They say they are from Cali, and the type of music lines up with the era of that flyer. Only problem is that there's no exact match with the bandmember listed on the archive, although I'm not sure where that info came from. On a related note, how much has the "from, near or played in California" list been gone through? Is it like the other lists that got pruned or should it be looked at?

The information that I got about Allied Nation came from the liner notes of the Mutilated Souls cassette release, which https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Mike_Reed/770078 of Allied Nation played guitar on. From what I remember in those notes (written by Lance Ozanix from Skitzo, who could probably fill you in on some more info about the band ( https://www.facebook.com/lance.ozan ), and last I knew lives with another one of Mutilated Souls' former members, Liam), it sounded like a solo effort that played live, and I'm wondering if they did a tape as well. Mike is a really good guitarist, so that's why the special interest in this band despite not a lot of info available yet. They were probably based in Santa Rosa, an hour drive from San Francisco - so they're probably two different bands, mostly because it sounded like Mike was the band leader and he's not mentioned on the link that you provided.
Yes, the California list is all up-to-date. There won't likely be information found easily on what is left, though. It is for deep dives, asking around to locals for clues, etc. I slowly continue to make progress there. There were tons of great bands that you just can't find anything about without some more hardcore research. I'm basically overseeing that part of the list, and when something on it seems not worth it anymore, I'll let Azmodes know. Thanks.

Here's a quite updated discography of Рейс 09 / Rejs 09 / Flight 09 (just missing the album "10515" released in 2020 and "Palmistry" in 2021). Most of the latest album were released on CD by Neurosis Records /until 2003) and Mals Records (from 2005 onwards): there's a guy on VKontankte who sells a couple of them but I guess in the 2000's they were more progressive rock. Reading on Metalrus, it seems their early 90's recordings (released on tape only) were more interesting but nobody has them or there is no trace of audio samplers or tape covers anywhere

Needs research. - Passion
Location: Denmark
Genre: Heavy Metal
Name change of https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Evil_Prayer/46066
- Demo review from "Rock Hard" #15 (1985), in German language:
https://imgur.com/a/cEXY0W6
Translation to English:
Spoiler: show
The five guys from PASSION come from Denmark. The sound of their 4-track demo is indeed surprising. Theoretically, these songs could be pressed on vinyl straight away, but unfortunately no record company has offered yet.
sen. PASSION (formerly operating under the name EVIL PRAYER, but they wanted to avoid confusion with black metal groups) play typical Scandinavian heavy metal in the style of TORCH, OVERDRIVE or 220 VOLT, but without any particular highlights. But there are definitely good approaches in titles like “Watch Me Go” or “Don’t Believe In War” (starts slowly, but then develops into the best number). You can get information from: Ken Anthony, Gl. Kongevej 1018 3th, DK-1850 Frederiksberg C.

- and a second article about them:
https://imgur.com/a/bwSnLI1
Translation to English:
Spoiler: show
Denmark has had many new really good heavy bands in the last few years, one of them is the Copenhagen group PASSION. The band was formed in Copenhagen in '83 by H.C. Christopher (el-g), John Schmidt (el-g) and P. Krister (dm) under the name EVIL PRAYER. P. Krister left the group to try his hand at other instruments. For a long time, the last two members had quite big problems finding the right crew for the band. Only in the spring of '85 did they find the real singer Brian Rich. In the middle of June '85, P. Krister returned. He took Søren Sørensen (el-b) (ex-DARK MISSION) with him, from their former band CROUZIER. When P. Krister and Søren Sørensen came, the rest of the group was in the process of recording a demo, and only managed to be on the title track "Watch Me Go". After talks with various record companies, the "band" found out that the name (EVIL PRAYER) suited the band's new style ("Watch Me Go", "Don't Believe In War", "Cold Streets", "Still In Love With You") and changed there-for PASSION does not.

Audio found - definitely metal. It's listed here as Evil Prayer, but this was the first and only-known Passion demo.

Also, regarding After the Reign, this discogs listing is confirmed to be a faker. Will see if it was ever distributed digitally. Otherwise no VR and should be removed from the list.

Banned From Heaven: I think this band changed their name to 'Beneath Fractured Horizons'? When is the question, as the initials are the same, and the logo on their album is just their initials. The music is borderline but could maybe be acceptable melodic death/metalcore. Not sure what name I'd submit it under.

Behold the Nation: Few singles that sound too chuggy to be metal.
https://beholdthenation.bandcamp.com/track/united
https://www.reverbnation.com/beholdthenation

Beneath a Crimson Sky: Dead facebook and bandcamp. Messaging a member for details. Demo track on reverbnation doesn't sound promising though, very borderline.

Between Gates of Ivory: Dead facebook, found a track on soundcloud.

Beyond Deviation: Surprised this isn't on the blacklist. Chugcore.
https://beyonddeviation.bandcamp.com/al ... assophobia

Bierzeit: dead facebook, can't find much else.

Bleeding Fury: looks to be live only, nothing on their facebook indicates they recorded anything.
https://www.facebook.com/BleedingFury

Blind Reflexion: Little info here, dead facebook. One track available online. Seems like they tried to raise funds for recording but couldn't and was largely relegated to live acts. Borderline anyhow.

Blind Suffering: Buncha singles that sound fine. Will submit.
https://blindsuffering.bandcamp.com/tra ... atred-land

Bonded By Strength: Said they would put out an album and demo but can't find anything. Will message for further info.

Breaking the Cycle: looks to be live only. No indication they recorded anything besides a single demo track. Will message for clarification.

Bumper: Southern Metalcore. no idea if it's metal, but sounds riffy to me. Any opinions?

Just from skimming around for a minute on the Bumper release, to me it sounds worth putting into queue.

Thought as much, thank you. I'm also going to submit Immortal Sacrifice. The full demo is on reverbnation and downloadable.

I think that most of the users are fine with other people submitting bands that they post about here, but recall BuriedUnborn taking issue with it once. Maybe best to verify with everyone, as I recall having to delete a band on that occasion so that credit could be given to the original poster (though when re-submitted it underwent further scrutiny, and didn't end up on the site in the end). The post I made on the 24th should cover everyone that should be checked with, as there wasn't response to it here other than from you. G One, MDL, Baldadeath, and Zygmunt I recall having said that it's fine. Not sure about anyone else.

I found a sample! I believe they can be removed. They sound more AOR, hard rock.

Thanks. As suspected, far from a metal sound. Can definitely be removed. Thanks for finding that audio sample.

The second and third recording were definitely distributed on reels.

Played decent power metal. The album is said to have been released on CD-R.

(additional info from Baldadeath) -
"Небо в огне" (which is a demo, according to their biography linked below) could have been recorded in 2005. The second album "Беседа со временем" was supposed to be released on Moon Records, but I guess both the demo and the album have been released for download only. Eduard Sukhodolov formed the group ЭСкандер after the end of Трилогия
