For Mettlesome Hail I doubt just 1 track out of 3 will be enough for submission.

There are strong indicators that the band Street was from Connecticut (or nearby).
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ini/355047 produced the tape at Setco Studio in West Haven, Connecticut.
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Pat_Russo/902533 is probably the same Pat Russo that was one of their two guitarists. Hamden (location of Red Alert, who he played session bass for in '91) is about 12 miles from West Haven.
Rob Esposito plays in Connecticut band Wicked Gypsies nowadays: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1176099315753203/

Streets (same band as 'Street'? Advertised on Wicked Gypsies FB page) did a reunion show in May 2022: https://www.facebook.com/events/1166060 ... f=newsfeed

Iapetus: The demo was never published under this name, nor promoted. This is according to the band. No VR.

Iberian: Was available for official download at some point. Will submit.

Regarding Witch Way, since it was uploaded to Discogs by PsychicShopper (bloodofchrist on Metal Archives), they're probably from Ohio. There was a band called Witch Way from that state, with John Grubaugh ( https://www.facebook.com/john.grubaugh.96 ). Here is the reference to Witch Way (nothing said about it musically): https://sleazeroxx.com/former-godz-bass ... y-hotrodz/ . John "Johnny" also played/plays in Kid Wicked, Strutter, and Hillbilly Hotrodz ( https://www.facebook.com/HillbillyHotrodz ).

Member of the band Vagner: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... gner/14207
Trivia section there describes it as heavy/power metal.

Blind Devotion (Ontario, Canada) member list:
Jon Minitta (lead vocals, guitars)
Michal Wing (guitars, vocals)
Cory Jay (bass)
Niki Finn (drums)

First Born (#913 on the list, location listed as unknown) it turns out are from the UK - not the one from the UK already listed on the site. Here is the full 3-song demo. Posted in here by joecubbie originally - so if it's metal, please let him know.
https://heavymetalrarities.com/forum/vi ... #gsc.tab=0

Midnight (UK) (#3982 on the list) can be removed. Audio became available on the Heavy Metal Rarities forum, and it's been posted in 'bands to be submitted' if anyone thinks it's worth submitting. Not totally convinced, personally.

Necrophobic: Spoke with band. No VR:
“ Hello. Well it was realy long ago. Necrophobic existed and played 1985-1988 in Novi Sad, Serbia. We didn't recorded album, but there exist a live recording of our gig from that time. Recording is done by cassete tape recorder... But it is mostly listenable.”

Nova (Japan) can be removed from the list. I got proof of VR and samples from their old website, but it was rejected as not a metal band..

Regarding D.O.C. (Disciples of Chaos), who have a 1989 demo on Discogs - cassette owner/listed seller 'glamsandi' has been helpful and friendly when asked about lineups of rare tapes in the past. Would probably be worth sending a message to see if members or state/city location are mentioned in the J-card. Did several searches on this and it's at a dead end for finding any further information.

Regarding Last Judgement (#11796, not the NY band) - they were from Melrose, Massachusetts (address printed in J-card).
Guitarist/vocalist on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/crsberry - more recently plays in a band called Pangea A.D. - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100041829054150
Bassist contact: https://www.facebook.com/steve.burnell.90
In case the two contacts above aren't able to offer a clear enough description or audio of the music on that tape, the same two people that recorded the Last Judgement demo also recorded the Melrose, Massachusetts band Valhalla's demo tape around the same time, and at the same recording studio.
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/V ... ife/129121 .
They're both on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/steven.harris.524381

More information about the band Little Flock:
https://christiantapeunderground.wordpr ... the-price/
Location: Moberly, Missouri, US
Members: Kathy Biggers – Lead vocal
Darren Martin – Lead guitars, rhythm guitars, back-up vocals
David Apel – Bass, back-up vocals
Amy Martin – Keyboard, synthesizers, vocals
Doug Simmons – Drums, back-up vocals
Music description at the above site: "it’s heavy metal. I kid you not – despite what the name of the band and the cover indicate, this is a female-fronted commercial metal demo. It kind of stays around the same stylistic arena as Ransom. Side 1 is two heavy songs, then side 2 slows a bit into hard rock, and ends with a ballad."
Two of their songs that aren't on that tape, "Father" and "Hold Out" (not riffy enough for the site) can be heard here: https://www.reverbnation.com/kathybiggers/songs

More info about Katchase - telephone contact number indicates a Los Angeles, California location. Member names that are legible in the photos are Kat Chase (bass/vocals), Robbie Kimpel (guitars), and the drummer's last name is Vlasak.

Iter Criminis: Spoke with band. Only tracks are on YT, and the band is split up. No VR.

Jaguar(1137): Sense I get from reading/translating this blog is that they recorded a bunch but never released anything. Something this comprehensive would more than likely an album or release.
https://dopepm.blogspot.com/2013/02/jaguar.html

Jered Syn: The archived site provides a mp3 download link for their last show. Would this not constitute VR technically for a live album? Provides the tracklist and everything.

- The only thing that's missing there (from what it looks like to me, anyway) is artwork for that download. Probably one of a lot of cases where asking a band member will be the only way to find out if they released a cassette back in the day. The one thing to keep in mind when doing so is that some people's definition of a demo being released is different from the site's (some assume that if not distributed in mass quantity, it's not released - but if 10 or more copies were spread to the public - not 'zines or labels only, it's a valid release by the site's definition). Thanks for a good suggestion/observation, though.

First Born can be removed. The full 3-song demo became available on Heavy Metal Rarities forum recently. I sent a message to joecubbie just now, who posted about the band in here a while ago, to see if he wants to submit it. It sounds to me like grunge with heavy metal influences. Again, here's the link if by Friday the 16th it hasn't been submitted and it sounds promising, 'metal wise' to someone else. https://heavymetalrarities.com/forum/vi ... 95#p252895

In the main research list, the second 'additional info' link listed for Witch Way can be removed, and the first 'additional info' link there can be added also to the listings for the bands Blind Devotion and Vagner. Witch Way country can also be changed from UK to US.

Orgainoid: Spoke with the band. It would appear they've suffered a number of issues that prevented them recording anything yet. No VR and no samples.

Headcut: Was on CD, confirmed by band. Waiting on samples. Edit* Got samples, sounds more nu-metal/hardcore influenced.

Recently someone uploaded one song from this rare LP and it sounds like early metal to my ears. Maybe this band is acceptable once other songs will become available.

Note: Can’t confirm its likely to be valid without samples obviously, but the six bands the seller of the second demo listed as comparable are all on EM, so it’s a reasonable possibility its ‘acceptable’ Grindcore.

(preview here from a different release sounds like some really lame trancer art rock. Having heard this, maybe they're not even worth keeping on the list. Possible they were just heavy early on. Hard to tell from such a brief clip) -https://music.apple.com/cz/song/and-it-never-comes/25246236

Stormer (US) can be removed / blacklisted. Just heard my friend's copy of the 7", and both songs are much more on the rock than metal side.

Needs research. - Triple Axxx
Needs research. - Brokken Silence
A couple of obscure Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, US-area bands that were around in 1987. Though the flyer says 'hardcore' near the logo for one of them, someone in comments mentioned that they didn't play hardcore punk. Probably heavy/thrash metal bands. Triple Axxx also played a gig with Gammacide in March '87. This guy posted about Triple Axxx in a local Arlington metal page, maybe could fill in on more detail: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090249484234

There's a "At Radogost's Gates" on here. Could that be a typo on the Serbian metal list?
